This food is to die for! The only afghani food we've been able to find in abq. I love the market where we can find lots of goodies too. First timers and super happy with our experience here. Will def come by here pfte

The quality of cooking and the products are as good as it gets, with only a comment of reservation for too much salt for my taste.

Love Keller's meats! It's been our go to butcher for years. Earlier this week we went in to get…read moresome ground beef and there wasn't enough out. We asked if they had more and they said yes but their " meat grinder" was at lunch for two hours. So we left. Went back in today. Once again, they were out by of ground beef in the front. Fortunately their "meat grinder" was in but I had to wait for a bit. This hasn't happened to us ever until this week. Maybe short staffed?? They did start a numbering system for customer service which is great but I think it's an adjustment for them. Yea, I know I can call in my order but I don't always think to do that. In the past they've always had meat out. Hopefully this is a temporary issue.

My wife wanted the best sandwich meats for our family Christmas party, so we went to the Keller's…read moreCoors location. When we walked in we were hit with a very strong ammonia fish odor. Very off-putting. No one was at the front of the store. We found our way to the back counter. After about five minutes a young man came out and asked what we needed. My wife said, "We need some sliced meats for a sandwich platter". The man went to the back for a minute and came out with a piece of scratch paper and pen. "Yes, we would like 1lb. of roast beef, 1lb. of ham and 1lb. of turkey for a sandwich platter", my wife said. He seemed a bit confused by our order, but began writing it down. He then asked, "Do you want smoked turkey"? "Oh yes", we said. I asked how thick their sandwich cut was and he replied, "Regular sandwich cut". I figured, okay this is Keller's, they certainly know what that is. We will have this ready in two days. That was fine as we knew they were very busy this time of year. I was excited when my wife picked up the order and returned home. I took the meat out to cut it up to fit the rolls we had. All of the three packages had meat sliced at over a quarter inch thick. That's sandwich sliced? The roast beef was very dry with no color to it. The ham was NOT ham, but some other pork cut with little pork taste and also very dry. The turkey was NOT smoked, but at least had good flavor and moisture. I was very disappointed considering Keller's reputation. Two notes: My ex-wife worked for Keller's in the 80s. She would bring home some of the best meats I had ever tasted. Secondly, a good friend of mine was the head chef at a well known sea food restaurant here in town. He once told me, "If you ever go to buy fresh fish and you smell ammonia when you walk in, turn around and walk out!" I am so disappointed with the service we got and the meat we ordered, I cannot see ever going back to Keller's.

But it has all kinds of natural food and treats. I bought a raw goat milk cheddar, very fresh asparagus and apple pie and a few other things. They source most products from small local farms. It's kind of catch as catch can depending on what vendors have come in. I didn't buy any meat but they had some interesting stuff in the freezer. You're not going to do weekly shopping here. The store works with local farmers and food producers to pass along high-quality foods that are extras. The day I went there were all kinds of fresh meat, veggies, dairy, and lots of other delights, food and nonfood. They have a nice little selection of soaps and other handmade items. I tried the strawberry drinkable yogurt and it was fantastic! Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. I also got some stellar green onions that were the nicest I've seen. Everything was fresh and delicious. The store clerk was welcoming, knowledgeable, and told us all about how the store works and what we could expect. On top of that, it's a beautiful little store with lots of room inside to move freely. I will definitely be back. Although I got quite a few things while I was there, there are a lot of other items that I would like to try. I'm also curious to see what they have next time since the selection rotates on a regular basis. If you want to shop local and support your local farmers and food producers, I highly suggest checking out Bomvida Farms. You'll be able to find everything you need for breakfast, lunch, or dinner or even a nice snack. Do yourself a flavor favor and drop by soon!
