They arrived by 9:0The only lock that needed to be unlocked was the door knob which is a fairly simple lock mechanism regardless. I had seen online that it was $35 and he told me that was the service charge, so I'm trying to understand how I was charged $80 altogether, all the guy had to do was stick a hook in the crack in the space that I had made and pop it open. Semms like a very easy job. So why was I charged extra $45?!? For a 3 second no labor job? Maybe because I'm a single mother stuck outside with a child they charged for my urgency?

He pointed out a few possible issues and worked to correct them. He was thorough and accurate in his service delivery. We accrued an additional cost when he advised that our back door locked should also be changed (so we wouldn't need different keys). This cost was justifiable and it didn't feel like an upsell at all. I think the value paid for his time and effort was very well worth it. I plan to use him again.

I called Joe at PBC Locksmith, and he said he could be there in a half hour! He showed up just on time, was super friendly and really knowledgeable! The deadbolt was completely broken so he took that out and replaced it, and was able to just rekey the bottom lock. From start to finish he was probably done in a half hour, and simple payment through credit card. I will definitely be keeping his number in case any other lock emergencies should arise! We called the Plantation Locksmith number and they immediately answered. They explained that we needed to get a letter signed by mom that gave us permission to enter her residence, and we needed a copy of her driver's license. After we obtained a letter and a copy of my mom's driver's license, we again called the number and were told a locksmith would be at her home in about 20 minutes. After 20-25 minutes Yuri arrived. He helped us get in quickly, (less than 15 minutes,) and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. The total cost was $165 and Yuri was very friendly and helpful. Finally got it our after about an hour of fiddling with everything I could think of ... WD 40, dish soap, etc. but didn't want to go through it again. Called and got a strange recording. Within minutes I got a call back and ended up texting with Sharon. She was patient and asked questions, and within a short time indicated someone could be at my house in about a half an hour, discussed what was the likely problem (something to do with pins in the mechanism), discussed replacing the component and the cost. They arrived a few minutes before the half hour estimate and the replacement was completed and they were out of here in less than 15 minutes. Now can leave house knowing the front door is both secure and I will not have problems getting my key out. Better yet, no delays while fighting to get the key out and can get to appointments on time.
