We were nearby so we stopped in. We needed bread and a couple other items. We didn't wind up buying much as prices were pretty high on most items. The grocery store is on the east side of State Rd 7/441. It's not the easiest to access and parking is a bit tight. We browsed the store, especially all the Spanish/latin items. This type of supermarket carries brands we don't usually see in Walmart or Aldi's. We were both craving something sweet after our appetizer nearby. I found some coconut white chocolate Milano cookies that appealed. My husband found some red velvet mini cupcakes that were on sale. When we got to the register, we didn't notice at first, but she rang up the cupcakes at $6.99 not 99 cents! Luckily my husband looked at the receipt and we went to customer service where they refunded him the overpayment. So always check your receipts here. And if the item seems too expensive and you can wait a little, don't buy it at this store. read more

First time at a Sedano's Supermarket which is known for traditional Latin eats at good value. Immediately, I noticed the bakery and cafe and had to purchase a guava pastry which was baked a few hours ago. They also offer espresso or cafecito coffee for only $.79, this would be the lowest offered price of any known location other than FREE. Picked up several cans of beans and crushed tomatos which were definitely much lower priced than Publix. The customer service clerk was a social enigma but still found great deals. read more

Great store to buy latino products. I went in to buy bustello coffee and that famous Cuban bread. I found the store to be clean , organized, welcoming and parking was easy. After I grabbed the few items that I needed to make a quick meal at home, I walked around to see if this supermarket was worth me coming back. Honestly the prices here for items I normally get were a bit too much for me and I could get them cheaper elsewhere...major budgeting during covid. I definitely wouldn't buy my meat from here cause the packages didn't look fresh enough. This place is always busy and lines can get pretty long and crowded. However, they have really good natural orange juice that I like to get in the mornings and their coladas are great as well. It's right next to my job so I can't complain. 4 stars for the convenience and prices. I never have actually shopped here besides the coffee and the juice but it seems to be a supermarket that's comparable to Aldi in terms of prices. Only 4 stars because not everyone that works here speaks English which can be frustrating to some but then again, we're in south florida! read more

Awful place! Can't trust the pastries so doubtful to trust any food items they prepare. The first bite of a pastry revealed green mold! I took it back to show them. We discovered this supermarket a couple of years ago while looking for a particular Italian pastry: it's a Latin supermarket, but there you can find also some imported items from Europe. Their prices are very affordable, and they always have special offers; plus, we love it because we finally found the perfect meat for beef broth. We have visited some of its other locations, but we prefer this one because it always seems to have a better and larger variety of meats than the other stores. They must have recently remodeled it because last time we went, it looked much cleaner and spacious, which made it seem less crowded! These people are the rudest people in supermarkets ive ever encountered. They're unprofessional and so unhelpful. I got there at 8pm and asked if I can have a dessert at the deli kitchen are and they said that they couldn't serve me that because it was time for their cleaning. I said so you'd rather throw away the food than to sell me something.. they said they were cleaning so they couldn't. I asked for the manager and he said he Gives them an hour to clean before closing the kitchen. Last Thursday my wife ordered a large order of arroz con pollo for a Sunday pickup. It was kind of high priced, but given that we thought that Sedanos would have the best Cuban food we ordered it. We were so wrong. We think they went to Chicken Kitchen, bought 20 dollars of food, kept the curry sauce and sold it to us for $80. It was too late to switch out or complain so we were stuck. 8 pounds of rice and two pounds of dry wood like chicken. It was my daughter's birthday so the dinner part was fairly ruined. When my wife went to see manager today, he couldn't have cared less. He gave her the number to a store in Orlando, claiming it was the company's headquarters. A complete total asshole. I wouldn't buy anything not even a stick of gum from these shitbirds ever again. A shame that a company with such a reputable name would sell such shit to their customers. The manager Raphael needs to be replaced or trained a lot better. This guy held up a line of 20 people fighting a customer over $4 on a package the store mislabeled on a special. Their mistake so they should have fixed it. He should have just fixed it and got on with it but instead the poor guy that waited in line for 45 minutes during the Corona Virus lines had so sit there and have some idiot manager tell him he couldn't buy the 5 things he had and held up a line for 5-10 minutes. Completely unacceptable and you wonder why the Publix customers won't come to your stores. I'll never go back to this or any other Sedanos, that store is a mess and the staff need a lot more training. I shopped in Sedano's today and was shocked to see how crowded it was. There is absolutely no social distancing possible with how many customers there are in that small store. And there were a few managers walking the floor who were grouped together not practicing social distancing themselves and therefore had no interest in ensuring that the customers were social distancing. This review is based on one shopping experience at Sedano's in Hollywood. I haven't been back since because there's no way I'm ever going in that place again. I needed to buy a Cuban mop for my new house keeper so I went to the place where she told me they'd have one for sure, Sedano's. I decided to do some grocery shopping as well while I was there and try something new. Parking was a bit difficult because it was raining that day and the place was busy. First impressions are important and as soon as you walk into this place, it is impossible to ignore the smell of rotting vegetables and overly perfumed detergents. They carry some vegetables that are not readily available in other markets but overall they have a very limited variety. I understand it's a different clientele. I ended up going for things I can't find anywhere else. Good yucca starch to make yucca bread. White cheese. Some extra large green plantains for mofongo. Rice starch to make orchata, a few dry breakfast cereals I remember from my childhood, a Cuban mop and some soft drinks. I also got some pre-packaged refrigerated desserts like flan and tres leches cake. The dairy cases looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The smell around the meats section could knock a buzzard off a fertilizer wagon so I didn't even look at what they did or didn't have for sale. Spoiled chicken, maybe? I must admit that the moment I walked in, I lowered certain expectations (like hygiene) because this place reminds me of the supermarkets I grew up with in Ecuador but then I reconsidered. There is no valid reason why any store that sells food should not be spotless. I got home with my groceries and that evening I opened the yucca starch to make some bread only to find dozens of dead moths inside the box. The same thing with all the dry cereals I opened. I also noticed that many of the things I bought had expiration dates that were way past. By a couple of weeks in one instance. I was going to go back to the market and complain and get some of my money back but I opted not to. I should have trusted my gut the moment I walked in through their door. Whoever manages this Sedano's doesn't care much about this store, its reputation or the health of the customers. This is one of the few instances hwre I felt like my complaint/advice/critique was going to be useless.I am not interested in being a regular customer there. read more

My wife is Latina so we shop here all the time, but never again. Nunca. We waited for over a half hour for a butcher to help us to buy a roast at $1.99 a pound. The little tag above the meat in the glass case read $1.99 a pound. We bought 9 pounds. When we went to the cashier she said to my wife, in Spanish, that we had to buy some other kind of meat for $10.00 more to get that price. We told her that the tag did not say that and the butcher did not say anything about that. The cashier called the manager and when he came he just shook his head no, that we could not get it at that price. Very rude. I have retired from running large retail companies and would never treat my customers in this manner. Seriously? The rest of the items we had I left there and ,in Spanish, told him we have always shopped there but will never be back again. There was no sorry or anything from anyone. I would of given this place no stars but you have to give at least one for the yelp site. Do not waste your valuable time in this dump. Go to Presidents market or Bravo.
