A Library in the Carriage house, with, thousands of books and other items. More than impressive. Not into walking in the cold or hot sun. They even have a fitness center on site in its own building. Exploring the home from the top to the bottom is a treat. Great bar area in the basement! A community with great dining, night life, museum and public library nearby. Beautiful out area with a enclosed Hot tub, and a lot of covered picnic areas. Just a neat place. Been there several times, even took over the entire land and home for a family reunion. It was fantastic. Did I mentioned they can seat maybe 50 or more in there recreation area, which has a full kitchen?

Great communication was had throughout the whole process. Our room was just perfect for what it was described as on their website. It was very comfortable and clean. We spent most of Sunday on a boat on Lake Chautauqua on a very beautiful day. We ate at EBC and were able to walk around this very quaint little town, which is just about an hour and a halfs drive from Buffalo. I would definitely recommend staying at the Bemus Point lodge to anyone that asks. Adam and Kristi have a great lodge and are making improvements to it since they've bought it a few years ago. They offer boat rentals, kayak launches, a courtesy boat slip is also available. It is a diamond in the making.

I changed my mind after receiving a marketing email from them. W O W! It really had me shaking my head. When we stayed, we reported so many things broken and unusable in our unit it got to be a joke. Important things like faucets and hot water. We HAD to laugh because we were stuck and they were barely responsive. We were there for a family funeral and didn't want to pile onto our family during a hard time. Whoever we were dealing with was super annoyed we found hot water and a working bathroom sink faucet important. Cabinets and faucets were literally falling off in our hands. One thing would break and we'd head into another area and pop...a cabinet knob would fall off. It was something I had never experienced before nor have I again with an AirBnB! To top that fun off, I had called probably a month before to cut our visit short by one night because we were going to need to get to the city to help our daughter move into college her freshman year. When I found that they hadn't canceled that night and had charged us, I contacted them and the person I spoke to said we never had the phone conversation and because I didn't have an electronic record and just trusted their "agent" I was out of luck and they charged me for the night anyway. Beyond lame. The audacity of their sending out their "friendly" solicitation message after their treatment of us during our stay and non-responsiveness afterwards was outrageous. So tacky! If you stay here, keep good records. Hopefully, they've fixed the many problems since our stay and have amped up their customer service (a LOT). I responded to their solicitation email and said basically what was above. Of course, no response. I would find another place, frankly.

I am not a camper so I can not compare it to other campgrounds but I was impressed by how nicely they keep the grounds. The area for tents looked so pretty. Jan was always very friendly and often went out of her way telling about various activities that were happening at the time in Lilydale. It is very peaceful there and the lake and dock are available to guests. Be aware there are stairs to rooms and stairs down to the guest kitchen, common living room and showers. If you are looking for a quiet quaint guest house to stay l would recommend Jan and Jay's.

There are a…read morefew things we wished we had known: (1) The bedding is super old - the sheets were fine but the pillows, blankets, and towels were not something we wanted to touch... and the mattresses offered no support. (2) The basement showers were super small and not the best. I'm 5'8" and had to duck to shower. My mom insists that I write that she was "so creeped out she refused to shower" -- I've traveled a lot in developing countries and was ok showering and also took a bath once that wasn't so bad... my mom also points out that I am comparing their bathroom ($80/night for two people) to hostels in SE Asia (which was "luxury" $10/night per person). (3) The smell, especially in our rooms (we moved rooms once because the AC room was booked for half our stay), was generally off-putting. (4) There are no keys to the bedrooms. All this being said - we didn't go to Lily Dale for the accommodations. Jan was friendly and her daughter next door who teaches yoga and runs the other B&B was super nice too. We still had an amazing (!!!) time during our stay at Lily Dale and just wished we had planned with the above knowledge in mind.
