Linda is laser sharp at analyzing your physical condition and goals, and crafting and implementing compatible exercise plans. She is incredibly professional and well educated, but also seems to have that rare touch - a natural as a professional trainer. She will get you to push much harder than you would on your own, perfect your form during every exercise, and develop core muscles that you never knew you had. Hands down, Linda is THE BEST trainer I have ever worked with in all of Northern California! I've worked with other trainers before, and have even participated at Crossfit, but what makes her different from any other trainer is that 1) She genuinely cares about her clients and their fitness goals, and 2) She makes SURE that you are able to get the best workouts, with the right amount of intensity (and it varies with each person), SAFELY. She knows what she's doing as your trainer, even when you don't. Because of her, I not only reached my fitness goals, I went beyond them. Thank you Linda!!

("_,) Started running with them last year, they are so strong, that means I am motivated to be like them one day. :) Dan is there to help, push you and motivate you. The gang are just awesome people. I love them already. Dan makes our run fun and hard at the same time. I highly recommend this dude. Thanks for being consistent, Dan! Not everyone are like that. I feel very comfortable with his personality and he knows very well how to push me further than I thought I was capable. His military training is perfect for this purpose. Dan is up on all of the latest health concepts and will help you get from theory to practice. It is amazing what he knows about diet and exercise. I thought I was knowledgeable but now I am working with a master. The initial sessions were well thought out and thorough. There was a whole questionnaire getting him up to speed on your current knowledge and exercise/eating habits, so that he could then design a program tailored to your goals on your schedule. His gym is in SOMA, but he regularly does workouts outside where it is more convenient for you. I am a long distance runner, but was looking for cross training to assist me with my goals. As well, the kind of full body strength training Dan provides enhance the weight loss and muscle building that you max out on running. As well I am seeing where I can take this training to another level and prepare for other kinds of events like the Tough Mudder. I'll give an update later after more sessions, but I see only good things to come.

I have neck/lower back issues as well. I was looking for a nice and quiet gym with good personal trainers who understand my fitness level, health and put me on a fitness routine based on my needs and goals. That's when I found ATP fitness and reached out to the owner Baron. He guided me very well and assigned Nick as my trainer. Nick is a fantastic personal trainer who is not only highly knowledgeable about workout routines but also with diet/ nutrition. He is very kind, patient, thorough and really cares about his clients. He makes fitness enjoyable and creates a positive and motivating workout environment. He focuses on proper form and ensures that I exercise safely and effectively. He tailors the workouts to fit my specific goals and fitness level. He also put me on a diet plan suited to my dietary needs (vegetarian) with the goal to reduce weight, lose body fat and start building muscle mass. He gives constant feedback on my progress and reviews the workout plan frequently to ensure that I am on track. He helped me with my workouts during my travel using training videos and ensured I didn't have a long break. I am seeing drastic improvement in my fitness level and have dropped quite a few sizes! This gym is like a second home to me and I highly recommend it! It has a great atmosphere where it feels welcoming and motivating, suitable for beginners or experienced gym rats alike. It has clean and well-maintained equipment. All the trainers are knowledgeable, helpful and willing to assist. Everyone is friendly and approachable here! I am new to strength training but Coach Amber and Coach Bri immediately made me feel comfortable and safe as they taught me proper form for each move - using simple and clear directions. They know their stuff and their goal is to empower you to do this on your own. I have such an engaging time that the hour-long session feels like ten minutes! Who knew strength training could be so fun? They are thorough - from warm-ups to strength training to gentle stretching. They keep logs of your workouts and enable you to add the workouts you've done at home. They adapt to any injuries or sensitive areas to make sure you can still show up without hurting yourself. They understand anatomy and protect you during training with their vast knowledge of muscle groups and how everything works. They both show incredible kindness and encouragement that lifts my spirits every time I see them. As a 52-year old woman in late perimenopause, my goals are focused on protecting muscle and guarding against osteoporosis. I want to age with mobility - hiking up hills and lifting my own luggage when I travel. I am learning moves like trap bar deadlifts, Romanian deadlifts, squats, bench rows, and other terms that once seemed so foreign to me.
