The food was okay! We ate all of it so it was pretty good! I thought the Kalbi was lacking flavor. I didn't have a good experience here. Most of the waitresses are rude. They are also stingy here. One of the people in our party was missing a side of sauce so we told the waitress and she refused to give it and claimed that she already gave it to us at the beginning but we didn't see it! We asked for more lettuce, they also refused. They also didn't want to refill our side dishes. Something I'm not used to! Every kbbq place I go to is happy to refill anything we finish! We had a large party so we made reservations ahead of time. We called the night before just to confirm we were on their list. They were also very rude of the phone. They cut you off and hang up instead of answering your questions. We will not be coming back. It's unfortunate because their bbq is pretty decent!

I treated my mom and sister out to lunch this weekend R Arirang BBQ, let me get into it. The food was pretty good. And being able to see my mom and sister not have to worry about cleaning up was nice. My mom said the food was food and fun sister said, she is spoiled by my mom's cooking and the food at Arirang was just average compared to my mom's cooking. The food was good in my opinion. The service was just okay I do think that the service can vary at times based on waitresses and the amount of customers that are in the shop. Atmosphere or ambiance like I like to call it, it was okay. I have to say the tvs with the Korean music going was nice. The seats on the other hand really are dated. Overall, the Korean BBQ here is very good and the side dishes are high quality.

Food: 9/10 I always love myself some Korean bbq! With my group of 4, we selected the "set meal for $150" because it had more bang for your buck than getting each dish individually. It came with a choice of stew, japchae, Korean pancake, 4 meats to grill, and loads of side dishes. The pancake came out first and it was a bit bland, but when dipping it in the savory sauce they gave you, it tasted better. Next was the japchae. The noodles were chewy and the right amount of salty. The side dishes came out and the kimchi was very tangy and good. Then the meats arrived and we put them on the grill. The lady helped us with grilling and taught us what side dishes and sauces to combine the meat with. The Kalbi and bulgogi so juicy and flavorful (were my favorite). The army stew was the last dish to arrive, and by that time we were so full, it was hard to enjoy it. But the stew was a nice palette cleanser, it was just a bit salty though. Service: 10/10 The Korean grandmas were so kind and hospitable. It felt like your own grandma taking care of you at home! They made sure to teach us about their different foods and what combines with what to produce the best flavor. I really appreciated them helping my table out on how to grill the k-bbq and mixing the army stew. Ambiance: 9/10 It's a wooden, homey restaurant, very clean!

It's so good! Great service too!

Best spot for Korean BBQ in town! A huge selection, all reasonably priced and with friendly servers too.

My friend and I decided to come here after going to the driving range on a hot day to get Naengmyeon. It was one of the best decisions we made. The staff and service was nice and friendly. We got the banchan which is always a plus for me at Korean restaurants! It was so good. Our Naengmyeon came out and cut our noodles so it wasn't super long. The mustard and vinegar was also set at our table so we can put in as much to our liking. I like the ice in the broth because it kept it cold. We were both satisfied with our decision. I can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu.

Been here for a couple times already, we enjoyed their combo special menu. They serve authentic Korean food!! We have yet to try their Korean bbq items however, we usually just order off the combo specials because we like the variety of food. We got the spicy pork belly stir fry which comes with purple rice, miso soup, and the L.A. galbi and bibimbap combo! And you can upgrade it to a stone pot bibimbap instead of a regular bowl for $2, highly recommend upgrading! Everything was good, the only thing is that my bibimbap was very oily on the bottom, I only ended up eating the top half. You can legit scoop out spoonful of oil from the pot. Other than that, still my go to spot in the suburbs! The service was good, and we get our food fairly quick. Price is reasonable $25 for the bibimbap + L.A. Kalbi combo, go check it out next time you visit Niles, and it's on the corner of the plaza with the super h mart.

This has been my favorite Korean Bbq spot so far. It's definitely out of the way for me, but the flavors and quality of the food is by far the best I've tried. The service is amazing and the restaurant is large. Never had to wait for a table. Our favorite is the spicy bulgogi! The meal comes with miso soup, rice, and tons of accompanying plates.

Bossaam and seafood pancake along with side dishes.

Stopped by here for a quick bite before going to King Spa. Ordered the special with Pancake and Bossaam. Everything was delicious. Portions were so generous that I ended up eating leftovers for 3 days.

amazing raw marinated crab!!! Have not been able to find it elsewhere in the Chicago area and was so excited to try. The flavor was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed their LA Galbi. Many side dishes and their homemade ssamjang was delicious! Ahjoomahs were so sweet and accommodating too, had a family vibe. Ambiance could improve but what you get for a mom&pop local kbbq house

only restaurant i know that serves raw soy sauce marinated crabs!! i was a little skeptical about the service but everyone was friendly. the interior is much larger than what it appears to be on the outside. they did say that the mini cold noodles were only available with bbq but i wish that was written in the menu. the side dishes were yummy and they gave us free soybean soup! it was surprisingly the best item we had. we ordered spicy cold noodles (regular size), stir fried pork belly, and the smallest raw marinated crab. the portions were large and could easily feed 3-4 people. they also give out purple rice instead of white rice and any rice bowls afterwards are extra. the total for the bill before tax and tip was $88 which i thought was decent since we had crab. overall everything was a hit and i'm looking forward to my next meal here!

pleasantly surprised! i've been here many times over the course of a decade or so and never thought much of this place. i never thought service was that great or that the food was anything fantastic... buuuuutttt came here for kbbq and it was fantastic! i thought the quality of the meat was great. it's not ayce but the experience was very pleasant. the wait staff were very friendly and helped cooked for us as well. everything was seasoned properly and delicious. the ban chan (side dishes) were great and so was the rice... cooked perfectly. definitely coming back for my korean bbq cravings!

This was an experience! I am 31 years old and this was my first Korean BBQ experience. A bunch of us from a Korean Adoptee conference came here after the weekend to celebrate together. It was so much fun and so tasty, with great company of course. We have a party of 13 and split into two tables. The eight meat eaters came out to $40/person (which included tax and tip), non meat eaters $20. We have a number of servers who were super helpful and attendant.

Got ripped off ordering Army soup. Server spoke broken English. I asked for one order. She did not say if there is a 2 minimum order. She turns to my guest and asks, "You like Army soup?" Sounded like small talk. My guest says, "Yeah, I'll try some." Which I understood aa he will try the soup I ordered one for myself. It was spam, hotdogs, tofu, cheese and then some. Bill came and it was nearly $45. Galbi for 8 cut up pieces cooked in kitchen was near $25. Plus tax and tip. Over $80. I could have paid for better ayce k bbq at Iron Age and ordered drinks. Or we could have ate for same amount of food for less the price at H Mart. Our meal at Arirang did not include soft drinks. Not worth the price. Not coming back.

Jin Soo KBBQ was such a solid spot for a full-on Korean BBQ experience…read more From the start, the table setup was on point -- a generous spread of banchan like kimchi, fish cake, creamy salad, and dipping sauces that all complemented the meat perfectly. I love when the sides keep coming and actually taste fresh, and these definitely did. The grill experience was the highlight. Watching the marinated beef sizzle over the charcoal while it caramelized and crisped at the edges? Elite. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor -- especially dipped into the sesame oil sauce or that savory soy-based sauce with scallions. Every bite wrapped in lettuce with garlic and sauce was chef's kiss. And the yukhoe (beef tartare) was beautifully presented -- layered with avocado, topped with a glossy egg yolk and garlic slices. It was fresh, rich, and buttery with just the right amount of seasoning. Mixing it all together made it creamy and flavorful without being overpowering. Overall, Jin Soo delivers on quality meat, great sides, and that interactive KBBQ vibe that makes the meal feel like an experience. I think this would be a great place for a date if you're in the area, a prize in an unassuming strip mall anchored by an auto parts store. Food was great, they happily and generously provided more banchan and also gave us complimentary bowls of soy paste soup that was practically jumping out of the bowl. As civilised as I tried to be, using my chopsticks and the cooking tongs correctly, I still felt like I completely stuffed my face like at a trough '^_^ it was all so good. Maybe to accommodate the neighborhood, the banchan was not nearly as spicy as we expected, so that might be great for someone trying Korean for the first time. We didn't try any food since we came from a late dinner but I could see how it would add to the ambience. Dropped a star due to confusion/miscommunication with staff when we were directed to our room. We were a group of 10 that booked a small room but were seated in the large room. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we didn't think anything of it. When we went to pay, we realized that it was not a complimentary upgrade and were charged for the large room ($20 more per hr). We ordered the following - prices were a bit high overall: - kimchi fried rice: the cheese made this nice and savory and this was the best bang for your buck because of the portion - galbi: pretty tasty but small pieces - chicken feet stew: this came out cold so we had to send it back- they had forgotten to bring out the portable burner that comes with the dish. Otherwise this was very spicy (which I liked) and a big portion - bossam: my favorite dish. Lots of sides that came with the pork belly, which was great because none of the other dishes came with banchan or kimchi. Rice is usually an extra cost, but the server gave it to us complementary during this visit. I'm glad I tried a lot of dishes and had tasty Korean bar food! I'd recommend giving it a try.

I recently stopped by with my boyfriend while passing through the area, and Korean soup hits differently when it's freaking cold outside. The bowl includes thin flour noodles, tender meat and tendon, and is topped with green onions. It also comes out with kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), regular kimchi, a dipping sauce for the meat, and salt to season the soup to your liking. All of that plus a Diet Coke came out to $33.99 for both of us. In this economy? That's a solid deal. The lady and the man working behind the counter are always sweet, which is a plus.
