We drive past Twin Dragon often and neglected to try it out since the reviews weren't the best. However, we had some friends who frequent this place often and highly recommended it. There is a large parking lot out front and plenty of seating inside. There is also a large party room available for big groups. We ordered the Korean style sweet and sour beef-tangsooyook (breaded chunks of beef in a white sweet and sour sauce, with onions, pineapple and bell peppers), Korean noodles with black bean sauce (jjajangmyun), and garlic chicken wings (kan-poong-ki). The chicken wings were originally intended to be spicy but we were able to get them non-spicy for our small child. The jiajangmyun was pretty standard and the chicken wings were tender and easy to eat (small child could eat them easily with the bone). The sweet and sour beef was my favorite of the three dishes and was really flavorful. Overall, food was good and staff were kind. We will be back for more! read more

My all time favorite place for korean style chinese food. I've been coming here for almost a decade and over the years, the food has gotten better and better. My favorite go-to dishes are the fried chicken (kangpoongki) , black bean noodles (jajangmyun), tangsooyook and mongolian beef. You can't go wrong with any of these dishes. There are days when I crave jajangmyun and I have yet to find a place in the Chicago area that beats the jajangmyun here. I usually take food to go, but dining in is also a treat. I have never had a wait to get a table, food is served relatively quickly and the staff are all friendly. When dining in, you also get their hot house tea, served in its own teapot. I was here with a group of about 18 people last night, we had a private room. It has been probably a good 15+ years since I last dined here. We all shared some Crab Rangoon, which was delicious. I ordered some egg rolls which were a little disappointing, but good. My entree was the Sweet and Sour chicken, which was good, but there were a few rather dry pieces. We were really craving Korean-Chinese jjambbong and we didn't know where to go. So we decided to give this place a try. The soup base was so good, doesn't taste like MSG, with lots of seafood flavor. We split jjambbong to two plates but the amount was still very generous and the noodles were perfectly tangy. We also ordered kan-poong-ki which also had amazing flavor and perfectly crispy. Mongolian Beef is good but too salty, the Kung Pao chicken is also okay; fried rice is good; eggroll is stuffed with the regular ingredients and it's okay dipped into the soy sauce; and the jjambbong is okay, but it has a small amount of noodles and seafood. I always look forward to their dessert: thin crisps covered with a sugary caramel-like syrup and nuts - delicious! Overpriced, undersized bland oily food. Me and my girlfriend ordered the Mongolian platter, fried rice and crab rangoons to go. That may sound like a lot of food, but it was barely enough for one of us. They both came in a bowl the size of your cupped hands; the Mongolian platter's fried noodles had black specks and a hard black object the size of a pinky nail in them. The fried was extremely bland and what little flavor it had was that of the large amount of oil it was covered in. When the rice was pushed aside you could see the oil pooling at the bottom of the container. I used to go here a lot as a child. The jampong and jjajangmyun were the only thing we ever ordered. I should have kept it that way. I got the Mongolian beef and it was good, but they don't give you a lot of beef. I honestly love Twin Dragon and really believe they need more stars. They changed ownership maybe a year or 2 ago and the taste of the food and quality really improved. Especially in the meat. My go to order is the jjamppong, gan-jjajjang, and mongolian beef. SO GOOD. The jjampong is always flavorful and has a lot of seafood. The mongolian beef is always soft and not too chewy while having that perfect sweet yet savory flavor. I will say though the gan-jjajjang needs more salt or something. It's missing a little something but still you can really taste how fresh it is. If you're into Korean-Chinese food, this place is a must. I grabbed food from this place yesterday since my favorite Chinese restaurant was closed. This place was a little pricey, but it wasn't too overpriced. In regard to the food, I have to say that the Mongolian beef was exceptional, the schezwan chicken was ok (I think it needed more spice to it), and the orange chicken was sadly my least favorite. I didn't like it at all because it needed more sweetness it my opinion and just wasn't what I'm used to but that's ok. I was lucky to throw my daughter a beautiful first birthday party at a restaurant that I grew up going to! We celebrated with our 50+ guests in the private upstairs room which has a charming ambiance thanks to the lighting on the windows that overlook the main dining floor. There was ample space for 6 tables to seat everyone as well as three tables and a floor mat for our traditional Korean birthday ceremony. Our 10-item dinner selection was served hot, fresh, and delicious! The servings were huge! This made eating family-style exciting and comfortable. Everyone has raved about the food to me in the days following the party. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and there is a service call button which can be used in a pinch. Last but not least, the owners were a dream to work with while planning this big party. They were kind and accommodating as we visited and called multiple times, and everything day-of was exactly as they promised it would be. (And for anyone planning a big event, it may help to know they speak English as well.) There is literally not a thing I can complain about as everything was above and beyond my expectations. So if you're looking for a place to have a private event, don't hesitate! I'm so glad to have made a wonderful family memory here and hope to have a chance to do so again. I have been coming here for over 20 years. THE BEST MONGOLIAN BEEF EVER. Don't waste ur time on fried food it's going to kill you any way and is awful from this place.
