We came here for a weekend luncheon, I miss the desserts and boba tea from Bakersville, which used to be in the same location. The redecorating and ambience was modern and sleek, with fully operational and clean water features. Grills were gas-operated, one grills there own meat items here. I really liked the natural-stone mini-subway style tiles on the walls. Like a lot of Korean places I have seen, the seats had minimal padding. I think this would be a great place for a date if you're in the area, a prize in an unassuming strip mall anchored by an auto parts store. Food was great, they happily and generously provided more banchan and also gave us complimentary bowls of soy paste soup that was practically jumping out of the bowl. As civilised as I tried to be, using my chopsticks and the cooking tongs correctly, I still felt like I completely stuffed my face like at a trough '^_^ it was all so good. Maybe to accommodate the neighborhood, the banchan was not nearly as spicy as we expected, so that might be great for someone trying Korean for the first time. Some might balk at the prices of some items, such as $24.99 for 1/2lb of raw meat, but we had a very enjoyable time and hope to come again. read more

Cozy spot. This place has such a warm and inviting vibe. The narrow, long space is decorated beautifully with soft lighting and thoughtful touches that make it perfect for chilling with a few friends or a small family group. The appetizers were a highlight, unique and bursting with flavor from a perfect spice blend. Not too spicy at all, just the right amount of kick to keep things exciting. The mains delivered that classic tangy, savory twist I love in Korean BBQ. The beef and pork came sliced super thin and tender, melting in your mouth. The grill was a touch oilier than I'm used to (probably to keep the meat from sticking), but it bother me slightly although most people would probably enjoy it. We finally got a chance to try this place, this has been on my radar for awhile. After reading some recent reviews, I want to clarify that they speak English here, people. Smh. They do have a good amount of parking here. It's not huge but you should be able to find a spot. The actual restaurant is big so finding a table is not a problem. We got seated almost immediately. They do have a button on the wall to call for service when you are ready. We ordered king kalbi, pork jowl, pork galbi, and seafood pancake. They have vegetable soybean paste stew that comes automatically with your meal. For banchan they have about 10 dishes including lettuce and salad. Yes they are refillable, you just have to ask. Everything tasted good. The seafood pancake was fully cooked. Please see picture. The pork jowl was juicy and a little fatty. It went well with the mushroom and onion. The king kalbi and pork galbi were delicious, you can cook the bone too. There is still meat on there. Service was very attentive, they checked up on us often and got us everything that we needed. Korean BBQ is such a fun communal way to eat but how about solo? Man decided to go solo and check this place out and want disappointed. First off the inside is sheik. It's nice and chill which is totally my vibe when eating solo. The quality of meat no lived up to the hype. 10/10. And the banchan (side dishes) almost stole added the perfect layers of flavor to the meal. Of course, the ban chan quality can make or break a Korean meal but 336 Korean BBQ didn't disappointed all. Our favorite KBBQ in the burbs!! We absolutely love 336 and we like to bring family and friends whenever we can. With an option to have your server grill your meats, it can be a great spot to bring kids too! We're always immediately welcomed and the servers are very attentive. They keep the banchan full and take note of your needs/wants. They don't offer combo meats which can sometimes make it pricey but it's quality, and after two beef options, the both of us are full. Aside from the meat options, their soybean soup that comes complimentary with two meat options is the absolute BEST!! They also have a side option of their cheesy corn- do not pass and add it as a complement. Lastly, make sure someone orders a steamed egg at your table. It is cooked to perfection and a great carb alternative (for us at least!). We usually don't need a reservation but there's always a few parties here. Always always fantastic going here, service is very very prompt and everyone's nice when we go in. The servings are good and the sides are fantastic and they'll refill them occasionally as you finish. We've got been twice so far and both times we're very satisfied overall with all the food. The second time the un- marinated brisket seemed like it was cut a little too thin or the grill was a little too hot, so there was more sticking to the grill than expected but overall everything still tasted really good great kimchi, great potato salad, lots of veggies, lots of flavor. My 1st time at 336 was a great experience. Reservations were recommended and we had one. This is not an AYCE Korean BBQ. Everything is ala carte. The host and the entire staff are very accommodating and willing to refill any items you desire. All the side dishes that came with the meal were very well executed and all had great taste. We asked for several refills of the tofu, fish cake, daikon kimchee, and potato salad. Those were some of my favorites. We chose the beef brisket, garlic butter pork belly, and the marinated kalbi. We didn't cook all of the meats at the same time. We started with the beef brisket which was good but next time I have to not over cook it. Still very tasty. Next we had the garlic butter pork belly and this was super yummy. The butter and garlic took it up a notch for sure. And lastly we had the kalbi but I was getting so full that I couldn't enjoy as much of it as I would have liked. If I were to do this again, I would start with the kalbi and end with the garlic butter pork belly. Rice and soybean soup is complimentary with the entrees. Side dishes and lettuce also comes with the meal and you can ask for refills. The sides we ordered as extra was the egg casserole! Don't skip this as it was so delicious. We also ordered the kimchee fried rice. That was delicious too but not sure we needed it since we got complimentary white rice. But I wanted to try it and I would just skip it next time. Overall, 336 is a solid Korean BBQ restaurant with great quality and cuts of meat, great tasting sides, and great service. Where to begin?! Came here for my birthday and I was blown away. The hospitality was amazing. We had a reservation and upon arrival they had our table ready with appetizers. So we literally got to sit and be able to dabble while we decided on the menu. Place was clean, down to the bathrooms which is always very important to me. The water was delicious as well. Really solid Korean bbq spot in the area. I liked all the sides, especially the fish cake and mashed potatoes. I thought all the wraps (lettuce and pickled turnip) went really well with the meats and the dipping sauces were higher quality than the ones you get at AYCE places. It's pretty pricey though. We spent about $80 for 2 meats (pork jowls and beef brisket), a cold noodle, and cheese corn but we were pretty full afterwards and the meat quality was really fresh and flavorful. I like that it comes with rice and soup as free sides. Service was friendly and efficient. They brought the sides pretty quickly after we sat down. The meats took a while before arriving at our table. We came for lunch on a Saturday and there was only one waitress working. As it got busier around 1:30 pm, another server came to help out. They played a lot of 2000s pop music in the background which was nostalgic. Banchan is good and has variety of options. I love their pickled radish wraps. Steamed egg was fluffy and fulfilling. I also recommend the kimchi soondubu jigae. There was a button for service on the wall by our table. I'm not sure it was working because we had to press multiple times and there was a wait time before a worker would check in with us. Was really looking to get some good ole KBBQ w/ some friends last weekend so we decided to give 336 a try and I would say it's so-so at best. It has a nice modern set up making it look visually beautiful but the set up was too small for our group of 5. We were seated in a table that looks like it could only comfortably sit about 3 or four max. The table itself is super small and cramped and it didn't give us enough space to comfortably sit and relax which I didn't like. There was a call button on the wall which rang to call the servers but it didn't seem to be super effective since it would need two or three rings of the button in order for one server to pay us any attention. Service was ok, the servers were all friendly but it just took forever to get someone to accommodate us. It also gets quite annoying when they would forget to bring us extra utensils. I think there was an instance where my friend asked for chopsticks and it took 10 minutes for the server to get it for them after they had already asked twice. Banchan was pretty good and we enjoyed them. It was a bit stressful having to play Tetris with our table though since again, there's just not enough space to accommodate. Now for the food, it's not the standard AYCE that we're used to for KBBQ but that's fine. They had a decent meat selection though. The bulgogi is usually my favorite at KBBQs but in this case, I actually liked the quality of the pork shoulder the best it was good quality which was a relief since it's pretty pricey considering the small portion size. Couldn't say I enjoyed the bulgogi as much though since it was cut pretty small. We also ordered some kimchi soup and dumplings, and cheese corn which my group enjoyed. Overall, this KBBQ had a very limited menu with high prices, and cramped seating. I probably won't go back for those reasons alone so hopefully improvements can be made in the future that would entice us to come back. read more

We eat Korean 3-6 days per week and definitely have a better understanding and expectation than most non Koreans. That being said while we were in the area for other errands we decided to give this place a try. We were greeted right away despite arriving at the early end of lunchtime on a Sunday. The place was clean and laid out in traditional style with a gas grill built into each table and adjustable ventilation above every table. Water and side dishes (bon chon) came out very quickly. About 7 sides and everything you'd expect, including free refills. We order the seafood pancake (Haemul Pajeon) which was burned a bit on the outside but still raw in the middle. When we said something to the server she said that's how it's supposed to (no it isn't). Bbq meat choices are either beef done one of 4 ways or Berkshire pork with 7 or 8 different options for how it's cut and seasoned. No one can say they like Korean food and not be a fan of Samgyeopsal (Korean: 삼겹살) so we ordered the thick cut and the pork jowl. The thick cut was everything you'd expect it to be, juicy and delicious. The pork jowl was fatty and no where near as good but not bad enough to send back. Service was ok but the server seemed to struggle a bit with English and did not speak Korean. Had it been dinner drinks would have been easier to justify as they had a good selection of traditional soju offerings. After tax before tip for two meats and an appetizer, soup, and drinking only water the bill was $72 Bottom line it's worth a visit and a different server would have probably been enough to make it a much better experience. read more

Came here with my partner and two friends on a Sunday a little after 5pm. When we arrived, we were quickly seated. Throughout the course of our meal, the place got completely packed which is a good sign. Our server was sweet and on it the entire time we dined there. She constantly brought us things we needed, etc. The banchan was good, however it was missing a few items such as cucumbers which I'm typically used to receiving. Personally I think the pork jowl tasted better than the kalbi (we had both marinated and unmarinated )...and their pork jowl is a cut above other kbbq place The side dishes are yummy and fresh. The service was really great but I just don't think the price matches the quality. Ordered a few items and just felt that what is being charged for the grilled meats is extremely inflated for the amount you get. The price point is the main problem and also the meat is listed as marinated but you can barely taste the marinade after you grill the food. If you're not sure or need another bottle of Soju, hit that call button. Nowadays the K-bbq norm is AYCE (all-you-can-eat) but that isn't offered here. Visited for the first time on a Friday evening with a group of 8 and got seated right away at around 9 PM. We were immediately served banchan and ice water to the table. We decided to try a little bit of everything for the first round and got a mixture of beef and pork. We also ordered seafood pancake and steamed egg which were all very tasty. The service was superb and we didn't have to cook the meat ourselves, the servers would come around to cook and serve it to us. However, the cost is on the pricier side for the amount of meat that we received, we ended up ordering a second round since a few of my friends were still hungry after ordering the initial 6 plates of BBQ. read more

Had dinner here for the first time. We were seated right away and the modern decor and minimalist exhausts at the tables were pretty cool. This is not your father's KBBQ experience. No all you can eat only and everyone has to order the same thing experience. The prices reflect the variety of pork and beef BBQ choices and there are good non BBQ entrees too. A good ban chan of modest variety comes out right away and they're happy to refill any favorites-- all were really good. We got the pork belly and marinated kalbee. Traditional veggies, garlic and dips were served as was the twist of wasabi, which was surprisingly good. The steam egg was ala carte and we enjoyed every bite-- velvety smooth and savory. By 6 pm all the tables were pretty much taken. For the 4 of us and a toddler we ordered one of each: beef brisket, pork belly, special pork belly, pork shoulder, seafood pancake, and cheese corn. It was just enough food and seemed a bit pricey for the small portions that we received. The quality of the meat was good though. However, there was no ventilation system so it got smokey and stuffy as the restaurant filled up. We sat right by the door and it kept getting propped open and closed so I felt like I was going through menopause during dinner. I also wish there tables were bigger since there wasn't enough space for all the dishes and the table grill. We had wanted to try this restaurant when it first opened earlier this year, so I'm glad they reopened! The grills have great vents, and the place is spacious, clean, and nice. The banchan was fresh and flavorful with plenty of options- I especially loved the lettuce for wraps and the onion salad. I would've liked more spicier kimchi though. We got the special cut pork belly, which was so delicious and flavorful and thick. We also got the chadol and flower galbi for the beef lovers. Both were tasty and great quality as well, though I don't like the small flower cut. We got to try a bibimguksu (spicy mixed noodle) and doenjanjjigae (soup) as well, which were both tasty sides.
