** for delivery ** It's a cold ans rainy fall day and I was craving sancocho. My regular spots were closed so I took a chance on this place. My family and I ordered a sancocho, a rotisserie chicken with rice and beans, and a pork chop sandwich. They were sold out of sancocho which broke my heart but they swapped it for chicken soup. The soup was good but sancocho would have been better. The pork chop sandwich was dry. The rotisserie chicken was well-seasoned, moist, and very good. My daughter briefly complained it was "spicy" but I think it just had a fair bit of pepper on it. It was very good as well as the side of white rice and beans. The food arrived in about 40 mins and was still hot when it arrived. We also tried Parcha juice and tamarindo juice. I really liked it. I'd def order the rotisserie again and hope they have sancocho! read more

I used to come here on a regular basis and the food was pretty solid. I just came from there and the service was TERRIBLE. All I wanted was ONE whole roasted chicken. Seems like an easy request, right? Wrong! I'm standing there for 15 mins while all of the workers are working on other orders. I gave my request to one person and she said, "Wait one minute." She was then pulled in different directions and my request got lost in the shuffle. When I would try to get other workers attention, they either were too busy to deal with me, or would ignore my request outright. So, I went to the counter and asked, "I put my whole chicken order in, did anyone take care of my request?" The woman looked like I asked her for deer feces on a stick. They ALMOST gave away my chicken that I ordered (now over 25 minutes ago) well before other people put in their orders because they weren't paying attention. I guess you have to be Spanish in order to get attention from people at this place. I finally got my chicken and it was still good, but more expensive than it was in the past. Save yourself and your time being wasted coming here. There are plenty of other chicken places that are much better and treat people better than this place. I always buy food from here. It's been in my neighborhood for years now. The lines are always long but the prices for the amount of food they give is worth the wait. Best meal of 2017 ... so far ;-) lol This is the best meal I've had in awhile, no exaggeration. Probably the best grilled chicken I've had in NY. I had to reach out to customer service, where they notified me the restaurant was closed, however the website states they close at 10pm. I've been ordering from this place for years, I love the food and the prices are really good too. However lately, their order portions have been getting smaller. I ordered a pork mofongo for takeout and the portion that was delivered to me was significantly smaller than what they used to provide, it felt like they used half the plantain. Their steak sandwich is something I would order regularly so I can tell when there are changes. The bread is different and smaller as well as the pieces of steak. The food portion to price ratio is not adding up. I hope both times was a mistake because I would hate to stop ordering from this place; I've actually stood hungry and had to order from a different place both times. read more

I won't be ordering no more from here messed up my order real bad and it didn't even taste good. Really good food. Portions were enormous. Had Chiccharron de Pollo, sweet plantains, yellow rice and beans. My husband had mofongo with shrimp, and pasteles. All were very flavorful and did I say how large the portions were? At least 4 people could have shared this. My chiccharon were perfectly fried, crispy and juicy too. The service was friendly and the server was laughing at how much we ordered :-) The front of the store has a steam table but we ordered from a large menu.
