Walking around the beautiful winery with some pinot
    Chris W.

Marissa was our host and she was amazing - very friendly, knowledgeable, and overall made us feel valued and happy to be there. Unbelievable pinot noirs - likely some of the best I've ever had. Their chardonnays were also unique - definitely on the fruitier side, not your typical buttery chard. They actually reminded me more of a semi dry Riesling with some sweeter notes. The place is gorgeous as well - loved walking around the place inspired by Japanese designs. Can't wait to come back for a picnic and more tastings!

What a great afternoon! Lindsay took the time to show me around the vineyard and showcase the family history of this intimate, boutique winery. Their Chardonnay and Pinot offerings are exceptional with several available exclusively through their A-list membership. Taking several wines home and can't wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful, tasting and experience at Arista. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the wines are very good. It was the staff that really made this experience stand out. The two women who both assisted us were personable and knew a lot about the winery and wines. We spent most of our time with Marissa, and she was a wealth of knowledge! All of the information she had about the history of the property, the winery, the wines, and the general area was simply outstanding. Highly recommend, including this winery in your tasting adventures. We are looking forward to their wine purchasing offerings in the future!

Our first stop on the wine-tasting journey turned out to be one of the better stops we made. The grounds are a bit of a drive through some back roads from Santa Rosa but it is well worth the trip. The property has a great aesthetic, besides obviously being a vineyard they also have a very well taken care of set of gardens with the Japanese garden off the tasting room being amazing, both with its plantings and views of the Mayacamas Mountains in the distance. Out tasting consisted of 1 white, their Chardonnay, and 4 reds, 1 Zinfandel and 3 Pinots. The Pinots were by far the best with everyone in agreement that Coast was their favorite. Our tasting host was engaging and very helpful in trying to locate everyone's specific flavor profiles and either offering or refilling our glasses based on our preferences. The tasting fee is nominal but I got it waived for all of us since I ordered 8 bottles including some older vintages in magnums that we tasted in 750s. All in all a great spot and a good value for California Pinot.

Awesome garden for picnics and relaxing outside. We went to 2 winery before this and decided maybe we should do a glass of their popular Zinfandel and Pinot noir... And so we did and took it outside. Their picnic area felt like a Japanese zen garden. It had many different trees and even white like sand. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We sat and had a picnic with some their wine and brought out own cheese, pears, and crackers to munch on. Winery was busy inside where there was AC (maybe bc it was 90+ degrees outside. The tasting room was pretty big compared to the other 2 we went to. Bar was full all around. Tasting was a tad bit more pricey than the smaller boutiques. Overall it was a beautiful winery.

This was our favorite stop of the weekend. The wines are spectacular, the staff were helpful, funny and welcoming and this was by far our most relaxed tasting of our visit. We were able to take our glass and stroll around the property, all the way down to where the goats and sheep were happily mowing away at a meadow across from the road. The grounds are beautiful and serene and I would love to come back and picnic here at some point. We probably spent at least an hour during our visit and could have easily stayed longer. Will happily return again.

Tasting: Free Famous for: Pinot Noir Worth another visit? Maybe. One of those small volume winery selling bottles only on site. Their Pinot was pretty good. They best part is that they let you stroll around their nice Japanese garden with a free glass of wine. People were really nice, so I am sure they'll give you plenty of free pours if your objective is to get loaded.

Specialize in: Pinot Noir Tasting Fee: $10 (if you visit Sophie's Cellars in Monte Rio and pick up a flyer you get one tasting free) Hours: 11am - 5pm Pricing per bottle: $36-$48 Beautiful, simply beautiful! Arista was the last Winery on our tour and was a perfect spot to sit and chill for a short while.. Unfortunately, after having a little too much to drink the night before and the previous winery making me feel even more worse for wear I decided it was best not to partake in tasting much here which was a real shame as the selection looked good. We were given a small tasting and told we could take it along with us while we walked around grounds which they allow you to do freely. They have the cutest little Japanese Garden and Bench area where you can take along your own Picnic and relax for the afternoon while sampling the wines which is a nice touch. I would like to go back some day so i can sample and enjoy the peaceful surroundings a little more.

Very late review here. Came in last year with a group of six on super bowl Sunday. Yes it wasn't that busy so we were able to walk in and have an amazing tasting! They have some of the best pinots here at Arista. Gorgeous grounds even though it was a rainy day here that Sunday. I Highly recommend visiting Arista especially if you love pinots

This winery has a quaint Tasting Room, beautiful gardens, and produces some of the best Pinot Noirs in the Sonoma region. It is also becoming extremely exclusive, reservations are now required for the tastings and there is a waitlist to join their wine club. And once you're in, you must buy part of your allocation to remain in the club. Besides the beautiful Pinots they produce, there is a Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay we really enjoy and a tasty Zinfandel. Arista takes great care in their wine production, from selecting growers to bottling the final product, and the bottle prices reflect that.

I made reservations for two adults and two young teenagers on a Tuesday morning and were the first guests to arrive that day. We were greeted with a welcome glass and were told they were setting up our table. That gave us enough time to do a couple of selfies and within minutes, we were escorted inside. Season Leef was our host/wine ambassador that morning and we loved her energy, attention to detail and how she treated us like we were members of the MacRostie Winery/family. She was more about understanding our palettes and pouring us what we gravitated towards to showcase the vast portfolio Heidi (winemaker) has been able to produce. Usually not a fan of Chardonnays but it was a neat experience tasting different variables and how each one is slightly different. We know we like Pinot Noirs so when we started diving into the reds, thats when we started figuring out what we liked. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2022 Nightwing Vineyard 828 Clone Pinot Noir :chefkiss: My two young teens are used to being at wineries with us so they're pretty good about keeping themselves occupied on their own (even with out devices). But, I really appreciated that Season brought over some paper and a pack of markers for them since they both still like to draw. Plus, we had a couple of good sessions of tic tac toe while we sipped and took our time. We had a great experience here thanks to Season! Seeing that they're dog friendly, we'll bring our 4 legged family member next time.

The winery fit right in and we loved the small location with the view of the vineyards. We booked a reservation for the Root 101 Wine & Food Pairing Experience. I've had cheese and cracker experiences in wine tasting before, but this experience was a stand out with their perfectly curated arrangements of small bites that paired so well with the wines we were presented. Having the food pairing with the wines really felt like it brought out an elevated level of wine tasting because most wine is enjoyed with food when you take it home. The team really worked hard to make sure this tasting was unique and we found each bite to hold its own experience. I've been to Walt Wines in Napa but this location was worth the drive and the experience! Peter hosted us and was very knowledgeable about the wines and the food - having a passion for both. We were very grateful to be paired with Peter for our tasting, he made it a great experience!
