After our dentist of years and years retired, we scrambled around to find a good dentist again. We went through several disappointing experiences until we found Dr. Nielsen and the lovely people at Aristos Dentistry. They are the best! Welcoming, knowledgeable and Dr. Nielsen never recommends anything you don't need. They always give you options and are honest about what you need. And the office ladies are the best too. They are familiar with our insurance plans and always quick to find answers and have the knowledge to give us the right information. read more

I cant express how thankful I am to Dr Nielsen and staff. They are always pleasant and a delight to be around. I always leave with a great smile on my face. At this time Dentist Offices are closed due to the mandated quarantine and of course I suddenly had a dental emergency. I did not know what to do and was in a panic. I called the office and explained my emergency. They advised me that yes they can accommodate emergencies and set me up to be seen right away. I work in public safety and am mission essential so I couldn't wait too long to get this done. As soon as I arrived at the office Dr Nielsen was waiting ready to fix me and got me out very quickly so I could return to work right away. Dr Nielsen treats my whole family and I truly believe he cares about our dental health and takes very good care of all of us. Your relationship with a dentist is like a relationship with a hairdresser -- it's not something you change often, or without very good reasons. I loved my previous dentist, but she became too expensive for our family after she dropped our insurance plan. When you're self-employed with a mess of kids, economics is important. So in looking for a new dentist, question ONE is, do they accept our insurance? Then the winnowing process begins. The online search brought up many dozens of dentists. I wanted one that I knew would speak English as a first language. I know, that sounds HORRIBLE of me. Sorry! There didn't seem to be very many within 10 miles, except for "Nielsen, Christopher J., DMD." So I called and made an appointment for the next week. Dr. Nielsen's office assistant, Becky, was friendly and candid on the phone. Also very nice in person, and empathetic with the insurance issue. I had to fill out 4 pages of paperwork-- she satisfied all my questions and made me confident that the information I shared would be safe. From the small yet modern and stylish waiting room, well stocked with current magazines and a Keurig, I had no idea what to expect of the treatment area. It's big! Neatly aligned and well-appointed stations line both sides of the office, and assistants are working, cleaning, xraying and prepping patients. Even though it's an "open" layout, there is plenty of privacy, because the stations face away from each other toward the outside walls, finished with nice contemporary paintings. After my xrays and initial exam by assistants, the doctor came in. Neatly dressed in a check shirt and blue jeans, he introduced himself as, "Chris," and got to the bottom of things right away, using the xrays to show me my condition, and discussing the next steps, with possible outcome scenarios. I had a tooth that decayed right through, under existing dental work. If he could save it (questionable) he would, with a root canal and a crown. If not, then extraction and implant would take place. I returned two days later for Dr. Nielsen to determine what to do with this tooth, which is visible in my smile. He was very gentle and careful. Yes, I needed numbing. He explored and found not enough tooth left to save, so he took it out, again, carefully. He got all the roots. Three!! Then he set to work on creating the surgical implant. This was all done in 2 hours, including a bone graft. I went home with an invisalign-style mouthpiece with my "temporary" tooth attached to it, to wear for four months until that area fully heals, and then he will place my new tooth. Because he is a DMD, he's capable of a wide range of dental services, and I'm so glad, because he didn't have to refer me out to someone else. He will handle all of the steps of care, and I won't have to worry. A PLUS is that I absolutely did not feel judged in any way. No guilt over the shape my mouth is in-- instead a very positive experience, surpassing all expectations. What a blessed relief!! read more

We had just moved to the area and my coworker referred my family to Dr Nielson. Dr Nielson did not know that we would only be taking my teenage daughter here for check-ups and cleanings (she has full benefits at the native hospital). After her cleaning, he told us she had 6 cavities - but when we took her to the native hospital, she only had one. They said there was MAYBE one other area that could have been an indication of the very beginning stages of a cavity but there was nothing else. So... I became skeptical and decided to get a second opinion on the crack in my tooth which he said I needed a crown for and the $1300 worth of work he said my husband needed. We both went and got a second opinion -- there was NO crack in my tooth!! Dr Neilson had SHOWED ME A PICTURE of a tooth with a crack but it was not from MY mouth!! The second dentist did a thorough exam... I asked if he was absolutely sure multiple times.... NO CRACK. No crown needed. Then my husband's turn. The $1300 worth of work my husband needed when to $0. Dr. Neilson is dishonest. I imagine some of the work he does in your mouth is necessary.... But you'll never know if you don't get another opinion. They also split my cleaning into two appointments for an extra thorough "deep clean"... Still not as good as my other dentist. I could still catch my floss on the tartar buildup in my lower front teeth... That doesn't happen with my other dentist office cleaning. read more

I went in for my first cleaning today and I felt so welcomed and taken care of. Brenda is such a great hygienist. Very informative, helpful and so friendly. And Dr. Nielsen sat down with me and discussed the future plan for what I needed done and really explained the reason for it all, which I really appreciated. I don't like feeling like I'm getting taken for a ride and for someone who is in the doctor's office a lot I can usually sniff that out quickly. I don't look forward to going to the dentist, but I am not scared to go back to get my fillings taken care of here. And that is the biggest relief. Highly recommend this small town, personal practice. I hope I don't have to switch dentists for a long time! read more

ost of us don't like going to the dentist. I waited a long time due to being scared and embarrassed. I was referred here so I went. After a couple mins the Dentist Chris made me feel alot more comfortable. There's just something about him that's really likeable and I can tell he's very knowledgeable and his staff are very welcoming. He even answered all my questions (all 900 of them) and he wanted to make sure I knew everything and we're comfortable in my choice of treatment plan. I am going to be doing an extreme amount of work and wanted to make sure I went to the right place. I wanted a Dentist that could "do it all" yet didn't charge a crazy amount of money. I would say he's a specialist but regular dental office prices. That's not common. I really look further to continuing my treatment plan and my kids are going to be seen soon. And I don't have my kids see just anyone due to being younger but I can really see his staff and himself making them feel safe and have that relationship so they can have care for life there. If you are wanting a great place and great dentist then make an appointment and take it from there. That's what I did and I'm glad I did! read more

Dr. Nielsen and his staff at Aristos Dentistry are the best dental practice I've ever used. I became a patient 10 years ago when my mouth was a mess. I required a lot of work. Dr. Nielsen walked me through each step and referred me to other dental professionals when needed . . . he quarterbacked the team, and I give him all the credit for the great result. After going through periodontal surgery, orthodontics, jaw surgery, and a few nerve jangling fillings, I am extremely pleased with my smile. I can honestly say their efforts changed my outlook on life. Dr. Nielsen and staff treat me like an important person . . . actually, they treat me like I'm family. I've been a patient of Dr. Nielsen for years and have had nothing but the best possible treatment every time I go in. The staff is friendly, sympathetic to your pain, and you get the sense that they actually care about your health. Dr. Nielsen has a great chair-side manner and is very friendly and nonjudgmental. Recently, I needed an emergency root-canal and the office was closed for the day. I was able to get in touch with Dr. Nielsen that morning and he, along with an assistant, had me come in that afternoon and fixed me up. All on a day that the office was closed. Unbelievable service!
