This is OC Korean certified. I was visiting Tennessee because of some bridesmaid duties and I was missing home. I'm from LA/OC so I pretty much assumed that it won't be as good as home, but I was actually pleasantly surprised! I can't vouch for the BBQ (bc I didn't try it), but their actual dishes were pretty solid. I might even argue that it could complete with OC Korean food. It was really slow, so service was pretty good. Our server was a short haired 이모, and she made me feel like I was back home. It definitely helped with my homesickness! I will absolutely be coming back during my next visit!

Korean is my favorite cuisine so I'm delighted to have found this restaurant. It has a comfortable ambiance, very clean and open. I had lunch there. I had been seated and given a menu. The website stated they had lunch specials which didn't appear on the menu. I asked about it and the server retrieved the lunch menu which had a number of choices priced at $10.99 each. I had the Soft Tofu soup and chose seafood as my protein. While waiting for my entree they brought to me 4 delicious ban chan dishes - broccoli lightly seasoned with sesame, kim chi, a delicious warm potato dish, and a macaroni salad. There were very generous portions of each. When my entre arrived - a bowl of rice and boiling hot soup I cracked an egg into it so it could cook while I enjoyed the rice and side dishes. I often order this dish at other Korean restaurants, and this was the most flavorful soup I've had, with plenty of tofu and some seafood. There was so much food I had to take some home and had it for dinner. I felt it was a bargain to have 2 meals for $10.99. The menu showed that the restaurant also offers tables with grills so you can have that experience, but it requires minimum of 2 diners, and not part of the lunch menu. I will be returning to the restaurant for lunch and may try the grill option when I'm not dining solo. I recommend this place.

We have been meaning to stop by and finally had the chance. Greeted right away and no wait for lunch. Service is outstanding and they are very proactive. Love, Love they you can eat Korean BBQ here and not smell like KBB when you leave. Great downward ventilation system. Place is very inviting and they even have a large grilling table for probably a group of 10-12. Have the option of a grill on a table or regular table. Banchan was fantastic. Missed some fish cakes but all good. Would have liked a spicer kimchi. Rice served with the entree and we had marinated bulgogi & ribs. Both were so good and flavorful. Loved it was good cuts of meat and not greasy. Watch out with ribs, had a few random short, sharp bones in them you could miss. Also a big fan that they had raddish wrappers! Miss these. Really wish they had the rice ones too! Steamed egg was delicious! Salad was decent but needed more dressing. Our kiddo is not a KBB fan but was a fan of their kids chicken nuggets which was a good portion and got a thumbs up! All in all a great dining experience and will be back to try other menu items.

There's no KBBQ spots near where I live so I was excited to try Arisu while in TN for my birthday week. Honestly I'm not sure if they're trying to be an upscale Korean BBQ restaurant with their fancy gold dinnerware, I definitely felt like I was at a regular restaurant. I missed the huge overhead vents that classic KBBQ spots in CA would have too, that just adds to the ambience. I ordered the spicy rice cake and corn cheese. My husband also got the corn cheese, and the pork belly. I think both of us enjoyed the corn cheese cause who wouldn't enjoy some corn with a heaping amount of cheese... but our main dishes were definitely lacking. I tried some of the pork belly and it didn't have much flavor. It tasted very salty and fatty. I don't think it was worth the $25 price tag. My spicy rice cake was decent but nothing special. If we were to give them a second try I'd probably try their bulgogi beef. Maybe their spicy rice cake and pork belly just aren't the best options on their menu. Service was decent. Our waitress was friendly and came around to check up on us. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for it being a Sunday evening but it may also be because they're a little overpriced. Overall I would say Arisu is ok. Nothing like KBBQ I've had in CA though. Hopefully there are more authentic spots in TN.

Very nice place with a nice dining area. Trendy and clean, if I hadn't carried it out I'm sure it would have been comfortable and pleasant. The bibimbop was nicely assembled just as ordered and very tasty. The sauces were on the side so I could adjust the spiciness. The portion size was large and it was an enjoyable lunch. Ordered carry-out which I highly recommend. The menu allows customization of the dish so you can choose your protein and add or remove ingredients. The online ordering page said 20-25 minutes for pickup so I ordered about 20 minutes before I would be there for pickup. I received a text in about 10 minutes that my order was ready. Tip: take the online timing with a grain of salt. They are much quicker if they aren't slammed with orders.

Wow, this is by far the best authentic Korean BBQ I've ever had! We've been to many places around the Midwest and South, but this one in Murfreesboro tops them all. The food is delicious, portions are generous (both the banchan and the meats), and everything was packed with flavor. The service was amazing too--everyone was super polite, friendly, and attentive. The restaurant is clean with a great vibe, making it such a nice place to eat. If you're in Murfreesboro, or even nearby in Nashville or Smyrna, I highly recommend checking this place out. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes, especially their soups!

Wow! I was not expecting this culinary experience! There were so many new flavors and combos I've never experienced. Great food, great service, and such a warm environment. We'll be back for sure!

I dined at Arisu Korean BBQ & Tofu on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 7 pm. This review is based on regular dining experience only without the Korean bbq. I enjoyed this restaurant for its expansive menu and ambience. The restaurant looked new and clean and I thought the smoky lighting thing in the middle of the booths section looked cool. The food here was pretty good. The kimbap was simple, but delicious. It was a very nice snack. The seafood pancake had a decent amount of seafood and was fried well. The spicy rice cake tteokbokki was spicy and tasted what I would expect from the classic Korean snack/street food. I had the bulgogi combo with the tofu soup. The tofu soup had good flavor, but I was disappointed in the cook of the bulgogi. It was very moist and lacked the char flavor I would expect from a Korean Bbq restaurant. I recommend getting the kalbi combo over the bulgogi combo for this reason. The side dishes were decent. Service was average. It was attentive at the beginning of the dinner, but got noticeably slow towards the middle and end of the dinner. Server forgot a couple things and took a while to get the check and pay. But, the server was nice though. Overall, this is a pretty decent kbbq restaurant for regular dining.

Everything we ordered was so yummy!! I am a Korean food lover so I feel like I have a sense of what's good and what's not especially the ones here in Nashville. This one just recently opened up in Murfreesboro. They have unlimited bonchon and our favorite thing that we ordered was the bibimbap. The dolsot claypot is gigantic and we could not finish so it was definitely worth the price. Overall, portions were really filling and will come again to try other items! Service was amazing and they come to check on you very often and fill your water!

I visited Arisu Korean BBQ & Tofu, the place is bright and very welcoming. This was a late lunch so they weren't very busy, I was seated and my server got me some water and a beer. The menu has a lot of the standard Korean dishes along with some specialty items. I started with some Fried Dumplings and the Beef Bulgogi with white rice. The fried dumplings are good and the sauce provided was nice and light. The Bulgogi meat is marinated for 48 hours and I believe it is a variety of cuts of beef. I really enjoyed is the gentle sweetness of the beef with a very slight salty flavor. I enjoyed the various Bachan plates, they were a nice addition to the Bulgogi dish...especially the sweet shaved radish and marinated broccoli. You experience a wealth of flavors (sweet, sour, bitter, spicy, earthy, etc.) with the Bulgogi and Bachan plates. Bottom line...the food and service here is exceptional. You can have them cook, you cook, or even have a cooking party. No doubt I left with a satisfied heart, a full stomach, and a smile. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Kee...I could tell she is very proud of this place and really enjoys interacting with the customers. She told me they are staying true to Korean recipes and her Aunt is in the kitchen. Love the "family" feel of the place and can't wait to try some of the other dishes like the Beef Short Rib or Korean Dumpling soups.

Visited Dec 23, 2023. A new K-BBQ and the only one in the boro! Good food if you're in the area and not wanting to drive to Nashville! Aesthetics were simple with gold finishes for the plating and utensils. Service was okay, everyone was nice/amicable but was not fast. The lady manager was great with making sure our orders were prepped correctly. Overall great opening, plenty of seating/parking, just needs faster service.

Glad to have K-BBQ in town! We waited a little bit before we got seated. When we got sat and placed our order, it took awhile before we got our meats to grill. I liked how they had combos for us. It came with a couple of sides (bean sprouts, broccoli, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and potatoes). We also got some eggs and salad with our combo. Our cheesy corn wasn't brought out to us til we were done with our meal. They brought our drinks out to us when we ordered them, but forgot the water. We had to ask for water 3 times, and we had to ask for rice. Food wise: the food was pretty good. We got a pretty good amount of food. Everything was seasoned pretty good, and I really have no complaints about the food. I liked how they had the sauces for us, too. In all, I didn't have a bad experience and would be back. I think service was kind of slow because they just opened and are probably short staffed.

Arisu is murfreesboro's top tier Korean barbecue spot This has easily become my favorite Korean barbecue spot in Middle Tennessee. Such a nice place so clean so beautiful so amazingly decorated I love the ambience the service is always great The ladies and gentlemen always have a smile on their face and anything you don't know just ask they're super happy to help All the food all the drinks all the desserts are absolutely top tier The temperature is always great in there which is important because you're right there with your food cooking on the hot surface so if it were too hot it wouldn't be great but the temperature is always perfect.

Ask the Community - Arisu Korean BBQ & Tofu

    Is there unlimited banchan?

I'm sure they would give a bit more, but nothing on the menu indicates it would be unlimited.

Is there any way to make any of the dishes here vegetarian or are there any vegetarian dishes that I'm somehow missing?

The corn was seasoned perfectly, and the slaw was fine but nothing special. The bulgogi fries were covered in beef, and they didn't skimp on the toppings! Showing up after church, the dining area was only about 20% full. It is located in a very dismal strip mall. It is a bright spot and has not brought any life back to it. Once inside, the ambiance and decorations still make you glad you arrived. There are wonderful bamboo sculptures, vases, and flowers. On my first review, I praised the open kitchen and how you could see the chef hand pull noodles. That is covered up now because their original offering of eight different shapes made on site is down to only one. Two other offerings are NOT made on site. I ordered flat noodles and was quite disappointed. They were not made there, were overcooked and tasted bland. The broth and the meat were still wonderful. While service was excellent when they first opened, it is quite poor now. You must order off a tableside wireless computerized menu. I do not like that, preferring the nice menu they had before so I could skim and scan to zero in on my choice. When I asked if I was allowed to talk to my server, she said, "only if I am not busy". Sorry, but I like to discuss the menu options to learn more and see if I could customize my order. At the end of the meal, my server asked if everything was OK. I voiced the complaints listed above and she said, "Yea, well, that's the way it is now. You must have come when we first opened. Things have changed." One of the employees from the back made me very uncomfortable. When he was not busy (which was often) he would stand behind the counter and either cross his arms or put them on his hips and stare at the dining area. I had a very hard time avoiding his gaze. I thought his interest was on me only. I will NOT come back. There are better restaurants closer to my house. This place has really gone downhill. In fact, she said that the same owners owned another nearby restaurant. I will not be there either.

We ordered the pork bao buns, hamburger, General Tso's chicken, and beef noodles with brown sauce. Every dish was delicious, but the General Tso's was easily the best I've ever had--perfectly balanced, not overly sauced or battered. The noodles and broth were also amazing. We were too full to finish the burger, but it was still tasty. I'd definitely come back to try more. Shoutout to Jadin for her friendly, refreshing service! Next time, leave the broth

My family and I just went here for lunch today and it was overall a good experience minus a few hiccups. I will say their service is a bit lacking. Usually service for KBBQ is pretty quick because they're not the ones doing the cooking. But here it was kind of slow. Our waitress was nice , not sure if they had too many customers and not enough staff. Our grill also had issues lighting the first couple times we ordered our proteins until eventually it just gave out and we ended up having to move tables in the middle of our meal which was a little off putting. The food was good though. At least most of the items we tried. My top faves are defiantly the corn cheese and the spicy beef bulgogi. The regular beef bulgogi is good too. Marinated nicely and had a lot of flavor. The dishes I would probably skip on next time would be the rice cake, potato salad and spicy shrimp. Rice cake was bland. The potato salad isn't like the typical Korean potato salad you get at authentic KBBQ and the spicy shrimp didn't have much flavor. Overall our experience at Fire Korean BBQ was good and I would come back to try their other menu items. They have a lot of good options to choose from other than the unlimited KBBQ.
