I haven't been to a good korean bbq spot since I lived in Cali so it was nice finding one near my new home here in TN. I tried Arisu which is another KBBQ restaurant but didn't really like the vibe there. It's the complete opposite here at Fire KBBQ! Honestly loved the vibe they have going on. My family and I just went here for lunch today and it was overall a good experience minus a few hiccups. I will say their service is a bit lacking. Usually service for KBBQ is pretty quick because they're not the ones doing the cooking. But here it was kind of slow. Our waitress was nice , not sure if they had too many customers and not enough staff. Our grill also had issues lighting the first couple times we ordered our proteins until eventually it just gave out and we ended up having to move tables in the middle of our meal which was a little off putting. The food was good though. At least most of the items we tried. My top faves are defiantly the corn cheese and the spicy beef bulgogi. The regular beef bulgogi is good too. Marinated nicely and had a lot of flavor. The dishes I would probably skip on next time would be the rice cake, potato salad and spicy shrimp. Rice cake was bland. The potato salad isn't like the typical Korean potato salad you get at authentic KBBQ and the spicy shrimp didn't have much flavor. Overall our experience at Fire Korean BBQ was good and I would come back to try their other menu items. They have a lot of good options to choose from other than the unlimited KBBQ. read more

It's a pretty average spot to me. I made reservations online so I didn't have to wait when I got here on a Friday evening. We got in and were seated right away. We didn't do the all you can eat because we really don't eat that much, but they did have an all you can eat option. We did do the bbq on the table. I tried the L.A Galbi and the pork belly. Each entree is served with rice and 3 sides. For the sides I got kimchi, fish cake, shiitake mushroom, cucumber salad, lettuce wrap, and shredded radish. I really liked my Galbi a lot. The kimchi tasted perfect. Other than that, I felt like the taste wasn't really there for the cucumber salad. It tasted just like vinegar and nothing else. I'm glad I got the lettuce wrap so I can eat it with my galbi. The sauce it came with was on point. The service here was pretty good. Will definitely be back to try some other items. we went post lunch around 3 and the restaurant was dead. very clean restaurant and the open space was surprising but nice. I can imagine it gets really loud when it's busy! our server was excellent, she was super sweet and helpful. I ordered sushi (disco roll) and it was good but there was LOTs of sauce on it which made the roll a little overpowering and too salty. for $16 a roll, I may try something else next time. My family and I had a genuinely grand visit at Fire Korean BBQ today. A big shout out to Heather our server for making our experience great. She did a great job explaining how everything worked. I truly appreciate her advice on trying all the Bantan dishes. There were about ten options. Most were good, some much tastier than others, but 5 got call backs for seconds. The protein options that we picked were all great. We had beef bulgogi, spicy bulgogi, Hawaiian bulgogi, pork bulgogi, spicy pork and spicy shrimp. Your party is allowed two protein choices within any given meat category each round you order. The food is packed with flavor. This KBBQ is all you can eat with a two hour limit. This was great! Came on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy. We sat at the bar and service was good. My friend and I both ordered the chicken bibimbap, which was great! The chicken was perfectly cooked, I enjoyed the rice with some crunchy pieces at the bottom, and there was a variety of toppings. It was nice to have a few different dipping sauces to try too. This isn't your authentic AYCE Korean bbq. You are only allowed to 2 meat choice at a time . We had 4 ppl and each meat choice we got we only got 2-3 slice per order. Example if we order galbi we only got 2 slices for 4 ppl. You can't mix up your meat order from pork, beef or seafood . It's one at a time. For the sides... you are limit to 3 per order . WTF! The worse Korean bbq experience I ever had. This is not authentic this is more an Americanize than any authentic Korean bbq . Go to Arisu if u don't wanna drive to one in Nolensville . I'm not sure why there are so many 1 stars for service. Maybe things change but there were some about a month ago and one in particular 9 days ago. I can tell you, the 9 days ago is a fake review judging by the picture of the server. That was not cute or funny. Some of us really want to help the owner be a better restaurant by providing honest reviews. Now, as for the food, it is hands down good! I was stationed in Korea and the "banchan" (sides) are typical. They come cold. If you want them hot put them in the grill. This was our first time at the restaurant and had no issues with wait time or service. As a matter of fact Alana (I hope I spelled her name right) was the best by far server we've had since moving here to Tennessee. That says a lot as you can clearly see we have tried many restaurants by my profile. She was quick, friendly, explained everything to my husband (because he has never been to a Korean bbq before). She gave us recommendations and was very engaging. She frequently checked on us and asked if we were ready for another round of "all you can eat". I prefer the beef when it comes to Korean cuisine but we tried the pork. Although it was just as tasty as the beef, even my husband preferred the beef. My tips: if there's just two of you ask for an extra plate for the cooked meat. Of course it was way too much just for my husband and I (because we really don't eat a lot) but we had to give it a try. Along with the all you can eat I ordered the Sashimi Tuna and Salmon! They actually know the difference between sashimi and sushi!!! Let me say this: the tuna and salmon were mouth watering! Cut a perfect size and very delicious! If you haven't tried Korean bbq I recommend Fire Korean BBQ on the Square at the Boro. My husband is hard to please but when he says something is tasty, it's a 5 out of 5! He was impressed with the amount of food, the quality and taste, and most of all the fried rice! He said this is the best fried rice I've had! Bravo to the chef's!!! Why didn't I give it a 5 star? Well, the music wasn't our preference and a bit too loud. We had to ask Alana to repeat what she said because of the music. In fairness, Alana has one of those voices that she's soft spoken but she was talking loud enough for us to hear, but the music drowned her out from time to time. Another thing that I noticed, majority of the TVs were playing some kind of sports. I felt it was trying to be a "sports bar" than a Korean bbq restaurant. There were two (I believe) tvs that were playing some type of nature channel. But it's just preference right? You can't please everyone. This place is a disgrace to society me and my family went there. We had a reservation and we arrive 30 minutes early. We gave it a solid 15 minutes before walking into the door when we asked the table was already booked out with 17 people we talked to a worker there and she said to get the manager, but the manager never showed their face. Recently added to the Murfreesboro Square dining options. Clean and well laid out open design, TVs on the walls with comfortable booths or chairs and tables. Fire offers Sushi, BBQ/Grill & various Korean selections. We had the fries and rolls only today. Fries were amazing! House manager, Teresa, recommended them topped with spicy chicken next time around. Our server Ben was very helpful with roll suggestions and knowledge of their products. Will try bbq/grill next time the table 2 over had it and it smelled amazing. 2 tips, Mondays are half price rolls and the second is just a FYI, your clothes will carry the aroma with you if there are a lot of grills going. Quality and service plays a big part of a successful restaurant, this place is missing both. When ordering drinks our party ordered 3 adult beverages, only one drink made it to our table, our first drink arrived and was quickly returned then replaced with a bottle versus the draft that was originally served, after mentioning to our server drinks were still missing they informed us they would be right back, well they came right back but with only 1 of 2 missing drinks!! Food was served cold and incomplete, when ordering a meal you expect a complete hot meal to be served, not a partial plate. I guess the fried rice takes longer to make than the bulgogi!! We received the wrong banchan but maybe she was new. A ton of money was spent on ambience. It is a nice looking place. But if you've experience Korean food and enjoyed it, particularly spicy Korean food, this isn't the place for you. I ordered Kimchi jjigae but was told they don't have it for lunch. My family was hesitant to try this new establishment. Two lukewarm reviews on Yelp! suggested we give it more time. A native Korean friend looked over the menu and said it did not seem authentic enough. I had enough of other people's opinions and decided to try it for myself. I'm glad I did. It was very good. All the comments about the ambiance are spot on. It is bright, with nice wall decorations. I especially liked the wide aisle down the center. Soondubu Jjigae was my main choice and it came with three sides of Bahnchan. I've never had the jjigae so was curios. It was a wonderful soup with plenty of flavor. Bahnchan that I chose were fish cakes, cucumber salad and cole slaw. Fish cakes were served flat and easy to maneuver with chopsticks. They were seasoned nicely. Surprisingly, the cucumbers had just a nice amount of heat. Cole slaw was, well, cole slaw. My server did everything she could to make sure I was getting the service I needed. Even the hostess would stop by and check on diners. Her mannerisms' reminded me of a cheerleader, but don't take that the wrong way, She was very nice. It was my family's first time coming here and we had an amazing time our waitress was amazing she gave us great option for sushi since we don't really eat it and it was really good ! The only reason I did not give a 5 star is that the service was only average, and it took quite a while to get our food to table with a main dish coming out before our appetizer, however the food was awesome and very reasonably priced for the quality & portion sizes we felt. We were so excited to try this place out and we're so bummed by our first experience. The service was absolutely terrible. It took us about 10 minutes to actually be seen by our waitress. Another 15 minutes or so later we finally got our drinks. We had to remind our server about our drinks, sushi, etc. Sauces were not offered. We had to ask for them. Server/ manager Myleea explained menu to utmost plus training a new employee who was great as well, bartender Marcus was amazing accommodating my wife lychee martini and cucumber drink for me. Appetizer corn dish Smokey flavor packed much flavor. Cucumber salad had me asking for more well refreshing. Short rib bibiimbap for me wife Cajun shrimp bibimbap with Hawaiian sauce was like steph curry for 3 bucket by the chef and staff. We used to love Fire KBBQ on the square and went often, but yesterday was our last visit. The service was terrible, and the grill heat was so low it took forever to cook the meat. It usually isn't like this. Our server didn't even turn on the grill until after bringing our drinks, which I thought was odd because you need to heat the pan, and even when we asked her to turn up the heat, she kept turning it back down. The meat barely browned instead of sizzling. My husband spoke to the manager, who blamed "ventilation issues" for the low heat, but it didn't address the undercooked pork and unrendered fat that took 45 minutes. Again, this usually never happens. Toward the end, while we were still waiting for the pork belly to finish, the server turned off the grill entirely, leaving us with inedible pork. After two hours, we barely managed one round of beef for an "unlimited all-you-can-eat BBQ" and left hungry, paying $68 for a frustrating, borderline unsafe experience.
