I LOVE the Kpot chain and this location is excellent! We had a pretty big party and they were able to get us in without a reservation within 20 minutes. Our waitress was REALLY hard working and I could feel her stress. I told her to relax, she's doing great. It was probably a bad idea to bring so many people here that have never been to a Kpot before. Even I was overwhelmed! Unfortunately they didn't realize until midway that our fam was off so we smelled a bit smokey afterwards. Lots of proteins and veggies to choose from to grill. They had a few more traditional banchan (had kimchi, rice cake and seaweed salad). Wish they had more of a selection and kimchi was okay. Fried shrimp was good and egg roll was meh. Lots of sauces too but was missing prepared ones usually at Korean BBQ places. Also really don't have bowls for sauces. Love that they have the radish wrappers! Had lunch at KPOT (Korean BBQ & Hot Pot) this week and it's an interesting way to combine Chinese Hot Pot and Korean BBQ at one table. You can opt for one or the other...or for a reasonable upcharge enjoy both. Our server Jae was incredible...she explained how it all worked and made sure we had everything we needed. You can order a ton of food here, and it is easy to get a bit overwhelmed. In addition to the HP & BBQ, they still have a section (Hot Bar & Sauce Bar) where you can create your own sauces and enjoy fruit, chicken wings, gyoza, other finger foods and sweets.  While I have done one or the other...doing both is fun and satisfying when you start eating it all. Jae kept coming by to check on us, clear plates, and bring more food if needed. Overall, the food for BBQ (steak, shrimp, pork belly, etc.) was good and grilled nicely. This was such a fun experience. We had no idea what to expect as this was our first time at a hot pot restaurant. The server gave us a rundown of how everything worked as well as what meats he recommended. They also have a sheet posted at every table that takes the guess work out of how much time you should cook each type and slice of meat. My mother took me to her recently favorite place to eat which is this hot pot/korean bbq place. It is all you can eat for a set price. The host greeted us and was smiling and jolly. Then they accommodated us on where we could sit. The service was decent as they don't really do much except come and pick up bowls when they are empty or to refill the drinks. They also only have beer. Later during the meal, more servers appeared and it was better. The meats and seafood are delicious and so are the vegetables. The soup base called golden chicken was savory. The kimchi and radishes were also amazing. There is also a bar where people can make their own sauces and grab desserts. The only thing I did not like was that the ice cream spoons are laid out and everyone was touching all the spoons which is a bit unhygienic. We had no explanation for the menu or how the pricing worked from either the hostess or waitress, also no help with cooking the meat. We wanted to do both the hot pot and the bbq (as part of our group was vegetarian, side note also only one vegetarian friendly broth available) but were charged for two meals per person even tho our table was split between one half doing bbq and the other half doing the hot pot. I finally had lunch here after yearning to try it for a while. It was a great dining experience. I was solo at lunch and enjoyed it but thought it would be fun with more people to share. The waiter told me to take my time, it was all you can eat. I typically can't eat enough for all you can eat, but if you are a big eater this is the place for you. It was fun to grill my food, I prefer "an experience" while dining instead of just having food put in front of me. The menu shows all the different choices of meat/seafood/veggies you can order. The menu shows small plates, I ordered too much because I didn't realize that the picture on the menu was the plate with the amount that would be delivered to my table. Some things on the menu are only available for dinner but there were plenty of choices for lunch. There was a large "salad bar" area with a large selection of sauces for dipping and cooking. It also had a small selection of ban chan dishes, and a few desserts. One thing I really liked about the food was the naturalness. Many asian restaurants have so much sauce or deep frying that you can barely taste the meat/seafood/veggie. This is straight food with you controlling the sauce levels. So glad they opened here! The place is really big with lots of tables. Been here twice so far, and both times they didn't serve liquor yet, just beer. Both times, we got seated right away. We chose to do the AYCE for both the hot pot and the grill. Our server got our drink order and the soup base order. The rest was pretty much done on the pad. You can pretty much just click through the pad and choose what items you want to grill or want in your hot pot. There was plenty to choose from. You can also go up to the bar to make your own sauce. The bar also has some apps and dessert up there, as well. I really liked the wings on the bar a lot. I felt it was cooked perfectly and I loved the flavor. We attempted to go but they make your whole table do the same option. We have some family members who dont eat soup so why would we pay the price for them if they didnt want it. That is a waste of money. Then when we left the girl at the desk was waving and saying bye in a very smart and rude tone. The music was also way too loud. We visited during the first few opening days and it was packed to the brim. Despite the crowd, our service was still top-notch! Our server, Carter, absolutely killed it with the recommendations and service. He consistently checked up on us and ensured we had everything we needed even in the middle of a rush. When there was an accident with one of our beverages, the manager at the time offered an instant replacement and was extremely polite about it. My husband and I have made it a point to have "date night" we had to force ourselves to do it. With today's climate and what's going on in the U.S., we can get consumed with the noise, not to mention the stresses of what's going on with work. So, we picked this restaurant that had great reviews and decided to experience it as well. As a person who lived in Korea and Japan, I've had my fair share of Hot Pot or Shabu-Shabu restaurants! Here's my honest review: As we walked in on a Friday, yes we braved it, there wasn't really a line or waiting period. The servers or hosts weren't really engaging of the people/patrons who just walked in. There were three of them. Not one said welcome as we walked in. One did acknowledge us as the people in front of us stepped aside only to say "we will get to you, first we will be seating the people in front of you." Ok... being Asian, I'm used to that kind of service from Asians that are Koreans and Japanese. I'm Filipina, we greet everyone as soon as you walk in! But it's a cultural thing so, it's fine! We didn't wait that long. The hosts were personable when it was time, I guess, to be personable, and we were seated right away. We told them it was our first time there at KPot but not our first time at a "Hot Pot" restaurant. So we knew what to expect. However, .... not all Hot Pots are equal! The services tend to be different or the restaurant have their own spin to make them either stand out or cater to their customers in a unique way. This KPot had an iPad for ordering, which we found out later when the server came. Nice touch! Rather than a laminated menu, which they had as well, where you can see pictures of the menu. Ok KPot you have a one up on the other hot pot restaurants! So why did I give it a 3 star? Here's why: 1. I noticed the table across from us had the Olive Oil cooking spray. We had the Pam cooking spray. I was wondering if the server was going to give us what we wanted or preferred. NOPE! Do I mind? No, but I would not do this review any justice. The establishment should have the servers hosts knowledgeable and cognizant of the options they offer and let the customer decide. 2. The Tempura did not look like Tempura. We thought it was brought to us by mistake. It looked horrible. Sorry, I did not take a picture, but I will next time! 3. The condiments, buffet items, and dessert were like an afterthought. Just get your sauces and go back and order from the iPad! 4. The steaks were kind of bland. You'd have to dip it in a sauce to get it savory. Now, I must say and give props to the kimchi! It was delicious! I was stationed in Korea when I served in the military and the taste was divine! Overall, KPot is ok. Let me start by saying we tried a location in Atlanta while we were visiting friends and I was so impressed that I wanted my sons to try today for Easter. This was my 2nd attempt at KPot... I should have stayed home and saved my money and eliminated the frustration that came with today's visit... So why a 2? First off, my burner was not working. I asked for help and the waitress grabbed another worker who asked me to stand while they figure out the problem. He had to climb under the table. I don't know the exact time but it was at least 5-10 minutes he was trying to get the burner to work. I walked over to a group of staff members to ask for a manager. The person I assumed was the manager and probably was (Kevin) pointed to another employee who said "ok I'll be the manager for now!" I couldn't believe the lack of concern or care for what I was experiencing. The only comment I got was "sometimes the burners don't work"... after he finally got it to work, it still took a very long time before my both would cook. Everyone else in my party had cooked and eaten. It was pretty frustrating. Once the bill came, I thought I'd at least get some kind of consolation. The waitress Cynthia said she agreed because she knew all the delay on me being able to cook. She said that she tried to get my meal discounted. She said they weren't able to offer any discount. The food was okay but very small portions for our group so plan to order a few of each item if you're looking to share. Some of the reviews complained about the service. We came on a Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes; not unreasonable. The server we had was prompt and attentive. We did the hot pot option only, choosing 3 different sauces, which were all quite good. We loved the variety of meats and seafood and all the fresh vegetable choices. Not as adventurous as our granddaughter, who ordered baby octopus, which she loves. The food is fresh and delicious, the server was very solicitous-what's my complaint? The price. We paid 133.00 (after tip) for food that was good, but not spectacular. The noise/lights. The music was so loud and jarring, you couldn't carry on a conversation. Add all the lights, and I felt like I was on a neo-70's dance floor. Will you get good service? I believe you will. Will you have fresh, appetizing foods to choose from? Based on my experience, yes again. Will it be worth what we paid? Definitely not. We dine out often, and I cringed to think of some epic Nashville restaurants I could have chosen instead. I went to the mboro location yesterday. The food was prob a 3/10. What really threw me off was that I had to pay for my 5 y.o. To sit with us while the adults ate. My kid is super picky, ain't no way he would eat anything other than chicken nuggets. I told the waiter that he won't be eating hot pot. They still insisted I pay the $16.99 just for him to sit next to me playing on my phone. My bill was crazy for the small amount of food I ate. Never going back again. I visited KPot twice in November 2025, and overall it's a great spot if you're looking to eat well and take your time. You get two hours, which might not sound like much at first, but trust me--it's plenty. You can eat, chat, and still have time left over without feeling rushed. If it's your first time, I strongly recommend asking the staff to explain how everything works. Some of the younger servers are a bit shy and may not proactively walk you through the process, but once you know the system, it's smooth sailing. The price is reasonable for what you get, and honestly, the BBQ alone is worth the trip. You do cook your own food, but that's part of the fun--and no worries if you're new to it, since they provide clear instructions. On a cold day, I'd absolutely go for the hot broth base with lots of fixings; it's comforting and filling. Don't miss the back wall, where you'll find kimchi, sauces, dessert, and other extras that really round out the experience. The food is consistently good. Checked this place out for the first time, tonight. First off, the staff was so friendly! Everyone I spoke to was incredibly kind, attentive and welcoming. My server, Yaya, was insanely sweet. She was always right there if I needed something, and she was knowledgeable when I had questions. She said her sister was the hostess that I spoke with, who had an amazing, outgoing personality. Facility was clean and had awesome decor. The food was really good, definitely better meat quality than Sahbu Shabu. I liked that you ordered what you wanted of the tablet on the table. To me, it's more sanitary than a buffet style. Everything I tried was delicious. My only critique is that the marinade on the sort ribs was too sweet.
