Dr Lindsey Allen is the kindest, most caring, completely knowledgeable, incredibly gracious doctor I have ever meant. She is kind and never rushes things through. I started with Dr Allen when she first joined this practice. On soooooooo lucky me. Without a doubt, you could never do better. I started with Deborah Wilson...not a good fit for me. I met Dr Wilson just after I had some horrible experiences with a practice I had stayed with for over 17 years. I was very disappointed because this group was so highly recommended. I want to be fair. I realize doctors are jus human so I could have met Dr Wilson on a bad day. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving and I waited for, at least, 3 hours. The appt maybe lasted 10 minutes. It was so disappointing. So perfunctory. And so very, very chilly. At the end of the appt, Dr Wilson stood up and said she was in a rush and "had to catch a plane." Ugh. I felt horrible. I was just about to walk and then I met Dr Allen. My fabulous, oh so efficient pal...Christina...at the front desk...recommended Lindsey Allen. My oh My! At 64...I guess I'm not so young...so I do know what a GREAT OBGYN should be like. This gal is the real thing. THE BEST! I feel honored and privileged to be her patient. Then there is there wonderful triage. Shannon is amazing and supportive, completely empathetic and always...always follows through. And how awesome is that...A TRIAGE! For 17 years I would call and call...no portal...waited forever for a response. With this awesome triage...there are 2 very talented gals in this department...life is so much more efficient. I've just provided the most honest & valuable review you will ever see. Why? Because I feel so strongly that I am willing to wait whatever time it takes to get into Dr Allen. More patients. Harder to get in. However, it would be so unfair for me not to spread the word. I spent years and years looking for the right doctor for me. I settled for years and years with a doctor that was less than ideal. I really should have been more proactive and looked at Yelp, Internet, etc. On the positive side, the "moons must have been aligned completely correctly." Dr Allen started at the exact time I was about to give up finding the doctor I had waited so long to find. With Dr Allen's never ending talent, I hope to see her as long as she keeps me going. Like most of us, 2020 was a hell of a year. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer early February 2020. I wasn't getting the answers I needed in the beginning of my diagnosis. Dr. Rubin initially gave good information about the stage of cancer (Stage II) and the progression of my tumor. He also recommended the best Breast Surgeon and Oncologist on my insurance plan. Both doctors worked extremely well with my Naturopathic Docs. Dr. Coats came on board to sit down with us and start a comprehensive treatment plan. She did an amazing job of calming my fears. No one in my family had breast cancer, let alone any cancers. I really felt listened to at each appointment. I also knew that I could feel comfortable talking to her about my questions and concerns with all the medications/supplements I was prescribed. She ordered bloodwork to check my cancer cells and started me on high dose Vitamin C IVs. We were able to shrink the tumor a bit before my mastectomy. I was blessed that my tumor was not an aggressive one, my treatment plan was aggressive! I'm very thankful for the care I received from Dr. Coats during a tumultuous year. After three months under their care--and over $150,000 spent, she left with tumors that had increased in size and had spread throughout her body. Her cancer had metastasized. She received very little actual medical care, and, shockingly, no tests were performed to monitor whether the treatments were working. While visiting, we learned that her lead "doctor" was not a medical professional. We also learned that the cost of the care was based on the length of stay. It became clear they were more interested in prolonging her stay than helping her heal. There was no housing support, compassionate guidance, or real oversight. It was deeply disappointing. Tragically, my sister-in-law passed away. From the moment she walked out the doors of Envita, there was complete silence. No one followed up to check on her condition, to ask how she was doing, or to inquire about results. Not a single call, email, or text.
