This was my first time at Arizona Lawn King. It was a happenstance that I called them to inquire about getting the mower blade sharpened. I have always had the mower blade sharpened somewhere else. I decided to try them since their price was very was more reasonable than than the other place I was using before, I stopped by yesterday to drop off my mower blade, so they took down my name, and assured me it would be ready the next morning after 9:00 A.M. Sure enough, it was ready, and they did an excellent work. One thing I should mention here is that they do a heck of a business repairing all types of gas mowers. In their showroom, they have multitude of equipment to work on your yard. For those of you that are fans of the brand name STIHL, this is the place to look for that, just not sure of their prices for new equipment. I will definitely use them again, and I left a very happy camper. They are located on the northeast corner of 13th Place and Indian School Road, in case anyone wanted to know. Employees are very customer friendly, and courteous. So give them a try. read more

I've been patronizing this business for several years. I've been buying line for my trimmer here, as it's an old unit and requires a very specific replacement stool. I went in yesterday and was really disappointed that neither of the team members behind the counter were wearing masks and clearly making no effort to encourage social distancing. Customers were also not wearing masks and there was no effort at enforcement. Regardless of how you feel about it, there is a mask mandate in effect in the City of Phoenix. We're in the midst of a pandemic. This is just stupid, selfish behavior. I'll be buying my line on Amazon from now on. I try to support local businesses first every single time -- Jeff Bezos certainly doesn't need any more money -- but when a business owner has such disregard for the health and safety of their clientele I have zero interest in helping keep them in business. read more

Took my toro lawn motor for tune up. About $170 and it was super refreshed! Starts up every time now. It took about out a week to complete. The shop has a lot of used and new lawnmowers, equipment, treetrimmers, weedwackers etc. If you live in this area this is a great place to get all your lawn needs satisfied. read more

Great little specialty shop that serves the Phoenix area. Some of the young guys are unknowledgeable about the products and don't know what the hell they are doing but there are people that do. I was dissatisfied with the service. It took 2 weeks to fix the choke. When I tried it, the problem was not fixed and was actually worse. It took over 80 pulls on the handle to get it started. read more

I have lived in phoenix all of my life and have never done this before, So I take my weed blower that quit running it would start, but re starting was hard, I have been to this store before and have never had a fair shake. always paying TOP dollar for the littlest stuff like spark plug air filter fuel line nickel and dime ya stuff. OK back to the weed blower. I asked for an estimate they said 20.00 for diagnostic ok, I figured maybe 50 60 bucks. They call and say 140.00 in my head says dam kinda hi, glad the call was on the answer machine I might've said ok. I said something to a guy at work & with his phone he he looked how much for a new one ah 140.00 . So I go to pick it up, he wanted his twenty bucks before anything I gave it to him, he went to the back and brought out my blower minus the pull start handle in other words he broke the pull start rope, he goes back to the shop bench as I'm saying why so much, you can by a new one for that he smiled and agreed and handed me my pull start handle, was so mad I said you broke it huh he looked with a dumb face like what cha guna do about it with his boyz standing beside him, ya it s a family biz that place sucks. read more

My 15-year-old MTD Yard Machines mower stopped running. Diagnosed it with a no-spark issue. So called and ran down for parts from Hunter this morning and all I can say is thank you very much for stocking the parts I needed! Not only does it run 1st pull, not only does I not get bogged down any more but best of all, it restarts when hot!!! Thanks for the parts help!!!! read more

This place has NO code of ethics. I took my weed eater and presseure washer to them . /Few days later they call me telling me they were both junk. My weed eater is 9 months old , still under warranty. Pressure washer has Honda motor. They said they would dispose of them for no cost, but if I wanted them back, they would charge me $40 , in which they did. I am taking them somewhere else to see if they will fix. They should tell you ahead of time there is a charge. Very rude staff also. Never going back !! read more

II had my pressure washer repaired there. I did not use it for at least 5 years and it would not start. They got it running before promise date at an unbelievable price. I have dealt with them as a home owner for over 10 years. I have always found them to supply me with the right parts and do all repairs correctly the first time at fair prices. read more

Can I give no stars. What a horrible place to get service work done. got an estimate for tune up on a hedge trimmer and a weed eater. So the hedge trimmer they gave me a horrible estimate that was more than double what it should have been when I said no they told me I owed a 18 dollar fee for the estimate and said I should just leave the trimmer since it is not worth any thing. I ended up selling for 150 on craigs list FYI with out the tune up. they even charged to add string to test the weed eater. Place is a total rip off I will never go again. read more

DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO THIS PLACE TO BE REPAIRED. THEY ARE THIEVES. I took my Honda push lawnmower there because it would not start. They ended up putting a new carburetor on it and said it was fixed. I took it home it sat in the garage. I did not use it because I just moved and planted grass. I took it out of the garage to use a month later only to find out it would not start. I took it back called a few days later and they said water was in the gas but, it was fine now to come get it. I travel alot so, I had hired a landscaper to do my yard. I left the mower there for a couple of months they called, I said I would get it picked up. My son went to pick it up last week only to be told it was thrown away because it had a bad crankshaft that we must have hit a rock or something with it. So, since we took so long to get it they threw the mower away. read more

I thought maybe it was just me, but I brought a lawnmower in for repair. They called me to pick it up and it was $55 or so for the tune up. They said it was working (they also said it was a piece of junk and I should get a new one). When I went to use it the next week it still didn't work. I just bought a new one elsewhere. It wasn't worth the effort to argue with them on a mower a friend had given me and that someone had left out in the rain (prior to me bringing it in for repair). I was thinking about bringing my pressure washer in for repair, but seeing as my experience wasn't overly unique, I think I'll take it elsewhere. read more

There really aren't appropriate categories here on Yelp for lawn & garden and landscaping equipment including riding & push mowers, chain saws, string trimmers and leaf blowers & vacs - and repair service for same, but that's what Arizona Lawn King sells and repairs. They're factory authorized dealer for Stihl, Husqvarna, and Honda equipment , which may be more expensive than the lower end of what's available at discount stores, but is a cut above in terms of initial build quality, performance capacity, and durability. An authorized service center for Stihl and I think Husqvarna as well, they also have large on-site mower repair shop in outbuilding. Easy to get to on north side of East Indian School Road between 7th and 16th Streets, but occasionally traffic makes it easier to turn in if approaching from the east/travelling west on Ind. School. I've had courteous, competent service at time of purchase of a single Stihl trimmer and HONESTY in repair service that kept me from buying a new one of same when I didn't need to. Repairs weren't instant but were done in less than time projected. read more

I brought my weed eater there to have it fixed two weeks later they called and said it was ready to be picked up,I let them know that I had moved to the other side of town and I would pick it up when I was over that way again.Well when I called them to tell them I was coming by to pick it up,they told me they junked it , I said number 1, why wouldn't you call me? and the person said he did and left many messages, which was a lie because I left them my work number to make sure they could get a hold of me,so I said number 2 why would you junk an almost brand new gas weed eater, I said you wouldn't !!I know you sold it.So the person on the phone became irate and told me he could do what ever he wanted to with my property!! and in fact he did sell it and then he hung up on me!!! If you do need something repaired go to Arizona Tree and Turf Equip Co 1502 W Bell Rd at least they're honest and wont sell your property!!! read more
