Over 30 years I've had absolutely wonderful experiences at the Lesco on Oracle. My sister who…read morelives in St. Louis, Mo always gets glasses when she is in town. Lesco has always mailed them to her. She was in town in November 2025. We went to Lesco. She still hasn't received her glasses. We discovered that the Lesco on Oracle has closed. We were not told that they were closing when we were in the store one week before the closing. She is now trying to work with the Lesco on Grant. She still does not have the glasses that she has already paid for.

Really liked Dr McDonald at first. They made my glasses wrong and instead of fixing it he kept…read moredebating me over and over. Turns out his office manager optician got the wrong pupillary distance and that threw everything off. I had to bring them an accurate PD from another eye doctor before they would remake them. Before that he made me come in for another eye exam and when it was slightly different he berated me for wasting his time. They wasted my time and I found out later that it's normal to have slight variations in vision exams based on the time of day, fatigue etc. The issue was not my eye exam; the issue was the pupillary distance. I think he didn't want to lose any money remaking the glasses so instead of just doing that he thought he would attack me until I gave up and stop telling them I couldn't see out of the glasses. This is the dark side of this office that you won't see until someone screws something up. I didn't know anything about pupillary distance or eye exam variation or anything because I never been to a place where I experienced something like this. If his office manager, who I see from some other reviews has been rude to other people as well, had not measured my PD wrong none of this would have ever happened and I would have just thought he was a great guy and it was a great office. But as the saying goes, customer service begins when something goes wrong. They messed up and they bullied me. It was a horrible experience.

He patiently listened as I explained symptoms…read morethat I was experiencing and, even though he'd never heard of anything like it, he did some testing and helped me sort out what might be going on. He has excellent equipment that helped him diagnose my macular degeneration early. He is kind and empathetic and takes a lot of time with each patient. I never feel rushed and I always feel like I can ask any question. His staff is wonderful as well. I highly recommend Dr. McDonald.

They are genuinely helpful when picking out frames from their huge selection - if you can tell them what you like/don't like about your current pair they can quickly suggest a pair that fixes any issues. I have Medicare Advantage so being able to easily use my insurance is important to me. They keep your insurance info on file so you don't have to give it to them every time. Andrea compared what my vision plan cost would be vs the 30% off coupon I had to make sure I got the best deal. They do have your glasses ready in an hour, and there are lots of stores and restaurants in the area so it's easy to kill 60 minutes. I had previously gone to another office where the optometrist just wasn't my vibe, so I kept looking and found Tucson Optometry. I'm glad I did. On my first visit I met with Dr. Jamie Hiscox and immediately felt at ease. She is so personable. I've now seen both optometrists there and really like them both. They're knowledgeable, patient, and have a calm, straightforward approach that makes the appointment feel comfortable. The pricing is affordable, the service feels honest, and the whole office has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend going here if you need an eye exam, contacts, or glasses.
