I take my kid here for indoor soccer. Overall it is a good sports arena. Huge with plenty of space. Has plenty of seating for parents while kids play. On site restaurant as well but not the most appealing taste. They do bunch of group classes and also the website by them is well built for the registration and other needs. read more

I'm pretty disappointed with how the indoor soccer league has been running lately.First of all, I want to talk about the cost. It seems like the fees for the league keep going up every season, but the quality of the league is not improving. Another thing is the late-night games. when you're playing close to midnight, it really throws off your sleep schedule and makes it hard to function the next day. Plus, The scheduling is all over the place and we never know when we're actually playing until the day of. Sometimes they cancel games at the last minute and we've already gotten all geared up and ready to go. It's a real waste of our time and energy.I'm paying good money to play in this league and I expect it to be run properly. The calls refs make are often questionable, and they don't seem to be paying close attention to the game. This is frustrating for players who are trying to play fairly and safely. And it's not like we can argue with them, because they always seem to have an attitude and don't want to hear it. The owner seems to be more concerned with making money than providing a quality experience for the players. Instead of trying to improve the league, the owner has implemented a policy of fining players for minor rule infractions, seemingly as a way to generate additional revenue. This approach is not only unfair but also undermines the integrity of the league. Furthermore, the owner's attitude towards players has been consistently negative. There have been instances where the owner has been confrontational with players and dismissive of their concerns. This has created a toxic atmosphere that is not conducive to enjoyable gameplay. read more

I have been playing at ASC on and off for about 14 years. I started playing there as a youth when Scott ran the operation and today play in the adult leagues after playing both D1 college and professionally overseas. I have played in all leagues from Rec to A league and have slowly watched the place deteriorate. Under the current structure you must pay a yearly membership fee ($85) + team fees for 8 weeks of games + ref fees for every game. Typically an 8 week season costs about $1100 for a team to play. This is probably the highest league cost in the valley when all fees are considered. Not only are the fees high but the worst part is that every single game/half starts with about 20 minutes left when each half is supposed to be 25 minutes. Whether it's waiting for one team to pay ref fees or some other reason a typical game ends up being about 40 minutes of play since half time doesn't really exist. Since refs are contracted out there is little to no accountability on their part either. It seems every game ends up being more about the ref than it does the players getting to play. I somehow end up walking away from most games not having had fun but wondering why we paid $1100 as a team for 80% play time and refs who don't understand the game. TLDR: Costs a lot comparatively, No ref accountability, Never had a game that was actually 50 minutes read more

Had an altercation tonight with two players from the other team being the aggressors. One of my players almost got sucker punched by a player who came off the bench on the other team. Found out that people who start fights are only given a red card, a short suspension, and a $100 fine? That is NOT enough for what could happen in a fight. If someone starts a physical fight, they should forever be banned from participating because they are unsafe. That is why we will not be playing here again. If these rules are changed and justice is served, we would love to join again. When you are paying $860 for an 8 week season, you expect that you will be safe from players who aren't there to play fairly. You expect even more so for players who come off the bench to throw punches to be banned. Instead, this place seems to be a money grab. It's too bad that these nice facilities in a nice location is being negatively affected by the actions of some of the people they continue to let play here. People can get violent, throw punches, and play the next month? These rules do not reflect the facilities and location. This could be a really nice place to play. They will let people continue to play here and put others in danger with their lack of emotional discipline. Not worth the money and not worth the risk. I could use the words "ghetto" and "trashy" to describe some of the adult players here. read more

ASC is all business and money oriented , at a time on ground from a team only 5 players (+golie) can play , in that case how can all kids get equal playtime if there are 13+ members in a team. There is no limit set on the team size during enrollment , ideally a 10 member team should be fine , but to make money they keep enrolling. Even if you try to talk to management and say anything - no good response . Not sure how coaches are evaluated, but at times there is flavorist within teams(some get to play forward always , some always get more play time). It could have been very good but no attention is paid to kids skills to improve or move them forward. read more

Kind of unorganized. fun to play there, but the people there aren't nice and staff has their favorites. the leagues are also all messed up. when it says rec it's not actually rec. The players who play in B are now allowed to play in rec. which defeats the purpose of rec. I have my group of friends/team mates there and that's all I need. I ise to like going there to hang before and after my games, but now I just want to play and leave. A little uncomfortable for me. Also this girl started a fight and I was protecting myself, but now im the one suspended (probably) Hopefully she is too. Was run better a couple years ago. The reffs are also terrible!! the reff fee should be included considered me pay a lot to play there. read more

There are not set rules for the referees to follow. The manager is very unprofessional. Be careful when your team plays against his team, because you will lose no matter what. Especially if you play against the manager's son's team. Rather than making the game fun, his rules are unsportsmanlike. It is something completely different from what they express in their mission and vision on their website. read more

I'm not the one to complain. I think this place is great when it comes to the field and layout. I see that I'm not the only one that thinks it's overpriced but I totally get the supply and demand. The restaurant inside the complex is out of this world!! They have best Margaritas I've ever had. Ever! Food was delicious, staff were all so nice and engaging, definitely would go there even if i didn't have an event to attend at the complex - for a Margarita! The complex itself was sufficient enough -i liked the all glass walls so you can see the whole rink. But it's the restaurant that's the icing on the cake! read more

This complex is poorly ran. Rude management. And always under staffed. ASC offers a skills class on Friday with a 10 minute check-in and then coaches standing around. An hour skills class ended up being 45 minutes with a late start. Took 2 kids to this and they asked to not do the skill class again even though they needed it. Also the teams are unfairly made up with kids overqualified all on one team which then dominant every single game. Unfortunately, not many indoor soccor complex to choose from.. read more

After many years of plying at ASC we just can't do it anymore. The management is not responsive and the officiating is horrid. I'm actually scared of the players being hurt because there is no consequence to dangerous players and they do nothing after "reviewing the tape". When Richard Z, Dallas G, and Brad E. asked me to join their co-ed soccer team, I thought they were nuts. I can't run. Or kick. Or successfully walk up a flight of stairs without being winded. Butt.... I soon realized that everyone else playing in the Friday night league was in the same boat, so it made it exponentially more fun! I like these facilities. They have two indoor fields, and one outdoor field. There is a snack bar, bleachers all around, and plenty of restrooms. They are pretty low key and the refs are fair. "Season" two for us Rubber Mallets starts tonight, so if you are looking for a good laugh, come on down and give us a watch! read more

Its a premier indoor soccer facility, But the staff is bad. Receptionist is always looking at his phone and not in a mood to help customer. He just want to finish the conversation and go back to his phone. Came in to ask about adult soccer and told me to look at the brochure. Phoned/Emailed Eric Tate, Justin and no response. I play co-ed with my boyfriend and a bunch of pals here. The facility is nice for an indoor soccer facility, with the exception of the bathrooms. The team fee is a little pricey for an eight week round, on top of the $50 first-year membership fee ($35 to renew after that). PLUS, like someone else mentioned, you also have to pay the refs on top of those other fees. One thing I have to point out with this facility is that they allow teams who shouldn't be lower than a B-league to play in the co-ed recreational D-league. This is unfair because "recreational" indicates fun, NOT competitive. Half the people on my team come out to have fun, & have never seen a soccer ball until now, so to put them out there with people who have played for their whole life, who come out shoving & elbowing isn't a fair game at all. The biggest complaint I have is that the refs play on the teams, so they are pretty partial to the team they play for or the people they pal around with. Some of them are very fair, but some of them are a bit ridiculous with their calls. Other than that, great facility; just some frustrating things going on. My team will probably go elsewhere for at least a few rounds of soccer because of the above-mentioned things, but it's not the worst facility in the world, so if you can deal with some fairly mild obnoxiousness resulting from the politics of the place, I'd recommend it. I moved my teams from other locations in Phoenix to solely play @ ASC. The divisions are structured properly, which is the biggest complaint some teams have at the other indoor locations. The staff is great as well. My kids have played indoor there for years as well, with one of them now in high school league. it's a great alternative to being outside and the kids all have fun. read more

Beware of the "no refund" policy. My daughter, who is older and new to the game, did not have a very encouraging first practice (held two days before the first game) and decided she did not want to pursue soccer. We canceled the morning before the first game. I was emailed with parenting advice and encouraged to try to talk her into giving it another chance which she was not interested in doing. TRUST ME, I TRIED. Then I was informed that I would only get an account credit in case she wants to try it next season. Well, that will be money lost, because she will not be back to try it next season. Totally my fault for not reading the "fine print" and not seeing the no refund (you have to cancel more than 7 days before the first practice) policy. But just want to make others aware before signing up. I gave two stars based on the fact that it is a nice indoor facility, however their introduction of new players to the game and ridiculous "no refund" policy could use some changes. read more

Worst experience ever. My fiance came to play a tournament this weekend and on the last day we were yelled at and kicked out by the manager Paul Sanchez. We were harassed and verbally abused by Paul Sanchez and Kyle Night over literally $5 (entrance fee). Upon arrival we went to the front desk to pay and Kyle Night questioned my fiance if he was a player. He gave him an attitude rolled his eyes and shook his head at him. Even after he pulled out his uniform and showed that he was a player that did not seem to satisfy Paul Sanchez's appetite for argument. After more arguing and nothing resolved nor did it seem that Paul Sanchez had any intention of resolving anything we were told thank you goodbye and have a good night. Oh wait.... There was that moment where Paul Sanchez told my fiance that they could handle things another way. I seriously can't believe the treatment we got even as a host to the tournament. I truly hope they never choose this facility for this tournament ever again. read more

The facilities are nice and the location is great for me. Im in a level D co-ed team. But throughout the season, my biggest complaint is the high degree of cronyism that exists at this place. Many of the players are good friends of the refs or themselves also refs and vice versa. Additionally, the refs really don't know the difference between a slide tackle and playing through the ball. If your knee touches the ground, its called as a slide tackle regardless of intent. Most grievous, however, is that I have noticed several players who are repeat offenders of serious poor sportsmanship, to the point of cursing in people's faces in attempts to pick fights in a game. This takes all the fun out of playing and is totally unwarranted, especially in a level D league. But the issue I have is that ASC allows them to continue registering and playing. They are told to sub out to break up the confrontation and no other action is taken. The price has been mentioned here a couple times. It is moderately high, but wouldn't keep me from continuing to play here if it weren't for the other issues. The poor sportsmanship and cronyism give me an unpleasant taste in my mouth after every game. read more

I've played at this location for many years on several teams on different nights and always have had nothing but good things to say. I recently was involved in an altercation with players from the opposite team where one guy attempted to head but me and I ended up on my back on the ground. This same guy was standing over me trying to rain down haymakers and I was able to keep him from hitting me with my feet. While this was going on, 2 of his teammates ran over and kicked me in the back of my head and my back (thank goodness I didn't suffer severe injury). By this time the other guy was on top of me trying to hit and choke me. All the guys were eventually pulled off and everyone was separated. The game was ended immediately and both teams went to their respective benches. A few players from the other team came towards our bench and tried to start the fight again but were restrained by the referee. The whole incident was caught on surveillance cameras. The referee talked with management and submitted his report and recommendations. The management decided to suspended me for 4 weeks for defending myself, the guy who was the aggressor and started the fight was suspended for 4 weeks and the guy who kicked me in the head while I was on my back on the ground only got suspended for 8 weeks. JFYI. . . This was the 1st time the other team has ever played at ASC and they have been involved in altercations in every game they have played. I sat down and spoke to management reference the incident and voiced my concern about the danger and severe injury that I could have received from being kicked in the back of the head while laying on my back on the ground. I expressed my opinion pertaining to that cowardly act should be a lifetime suspension. Their view/stance was that everyone deserved the same blanket suspension because that was the fair thing to do. They also advised since I had been there for so long and never cause any problems they reduced my suspension to 4 weeks instead of 8 weeks but to be fair, they had to reduce the other guys suspenion as well. It was their opinion that defending yourself was just as guilty as being the aggressor and instigator of the fight. I've always enjoyed playing there and never worried about safety issues but after this incident, I'm definitely concerned. Knowing the guy who kicked me in the head will be allowed back in the facility to play, I fear this incident will occur again to somebody else resulting in severe injury. In my opinion. . . The ASC management is more concerned with not offending people and keeping players/teams for the money instead of the safety of the players in the facility. read more

I've played soccer almost my whole life, so when a few of my buddies asked me to play on a team here on Thursday evenings, I quickly jumped at the opportunity. The ASC is one of the cleanest, well kept facilities I've ever played in. Very simple, two fields inside, one outside (still indoor style). I don't really care to play on the outdoor field however, due to the fact that the walls are lower, and the netting doesn't surround the entire field, so the ball goes out of play alot and sometimes you have to chase it pretty far. The indoor and outdoor nets in the goals could stand for a bit of patching up as well, as the ball is constantly going right through them. I'm also not a big fan of the fact that on top of the team fee (which is average, not overly pricey), you are forced to pay a $50 annual membership fee AND each team has to pay the refs $10 before each game! This is the first facility I've played in that didn't pay their own referees; instead they rely on the teams (who've already forked out quite a bit of money to be there in the first place) to pay them. Those few complaints aside, I love the game, and the fact that I drive from downtown Phoenix to play here should make it pretty obvious that it's worth it to me! read more

A neighbor of mine turned me on to ASC and Im glad he did. As far as I know its pretty much so the premier indoor soccer facility all us soccer fanatics here in AZ. I've been playing for several years now and I really enjoy the set up over there. The only complaints would be that the outside nets suck and the surface out there needs some work as well but other than that its all good. read more

Worst Refereeing I have ever encountered. They let a goalkeeper slide outside the box boots up injuring my friend and teammate. DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS PLAY HERE IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO GET HURT! Very expensive also, I had to pay $80 for 5 games. Overall horrible facility with worst staff. read more

Our 17 year old son has had a really positive experience here with the high school rec league. It's a great mix of players, the coaches are experienced and kind (his coach is, anyway), and the parents are all relatively sane, with no screaming or drama on the sidelines. The schedule is structured perfectly for a high school student who wants to play a sport, but still have time for other activities--one game per week, with an optional practice on Friday nights (costs extra). Games are held in the evening, late enough that it's not a problem to get there after school and dinner. He has really bonded with his team and it has been great for him. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained with a nice snack bar that has a fantastic hot dog basket--and beer! All in all has been a win for our whole family during a tough year. read more

Ive only really experienced the drop-in games on Sunday and Monday evenings. Sunday night 7-9pm Monday night 9-11pm 5$ The facility is great and the atmosphere welcoming. I found all of the employees to be more than helpful and very accomodating to requests. Monday night drop-in is consistantly good, you can drop-in pretty much anytime and play during the 9pm to 11pm playing time. That being said, there can be a pretty stale drop-in game on Sunday nights as not enough people show on Sunday to get a game going until 8pm or later sometimes. Both nights and Sunday night in particular can suffer from "whos on my team syndrome", everybody wares a different color shirt, know one brings a dark or light and changes shirts accordingly. read more
