Always good experience for the last several years. No appointments needed and the rate is good also. I find the personnel nice.

I love Dr Andrews and her staff. Very personable and caring. She and her staff have so many accolades paid to them on their billboards.

One vet wanted to do surgery when they found Roscoe had eaten sand at the beach a few days earlier. When I asked questions they seemed annoyed and continued typing on their laptop. I left him there for several hrs since they said he needed medication and they couldn't guarantee his outcome. I came back later and when I asked who stays with them overnight I was informed that no one would be there. I then took him to Beaver Run. They contacted the vet and was told that nothing had been done xcept an IV for hydration. The vet at the ER said she was disappointed with the attending Dr at On Point also.

The tech took my dog at the 6hr mark and left the room with no word as to what they were doing or if they were going to be doing anything. Turns out they took my dog and put her in a kennel for two hours!! Why take her, if you're not even close to ready to look at her, she would be happier with her parents!! They said the wait "Is because they had one Vet on a Sunday that we had the wait!" Why wouldn't they have an emergency on-call additional vet available? I asked for them to quickly trim her nails and they said yes and later refused. The hospital was so cold we were freezing the entire time so I told the vet and she said sarcastically "I'm cold too!" Well I'm thinking they need to turn off the A/C!!!! I have been a pet owner for over 50 years and this was by far THE WORST TREATMENT I'VE EVER RECEIVED! We had less than five minutes with the vet after 8hrs of waiting!!!!!!! My dog could've died and they simply didn't care. If they are the ONLY AVAILABLE VET, you don't have much choice, but no customer should EVER have to wait 7hrs to see someone, no vet should ever disappear with your dog with ZERO explanation for two hours, and no hospital should be so cold as to make everyone miserable. My dog survived...no thanks to this animal hospital. But to their credit, and $350 later, my dog was given Benadryl and a steroid. But if we a choice, we would never return.

It has taken me several months to finally write the review that Pet Dr deserves…read more This review isn't about their already known high prices, the staff or facilities; this review is solely based on the vets failure to diagnose. I took my dog to see Dr Stephanie Fotorny at Pet Dr in March of this year for severe diarrhea. I asked for a full exam and proceeded with a full physical examination, full panel of bloodwork, urine analysis, stool samples, abdominal ultrasound, booster vaccinations as well as repeat all labs at their recommendation due to his high thyroid levels. Note, the full physical examination included using a sethoscope to listen to his heart and lungs as well as palpating his abdominal area etc - a standard protocol with animals as well as humans. Fast forward 2 months of repeat labs and exams, I just wasn't happy with the vet for some of the reasons mentioned from other reviews. I asked for all of my dogs records for a second opinion. I took him to TWO other vets for a second and third opinion and was immediately told by both vets that my dog had a very loud heart murmur that could be easily heard during the physical exam. A heart murmur that advanced does not develop in 2 months. Due to this severe, loud, unmistakeable heart murmur that was heard by the vet, it was recommended to further investigate what was going on with taking X-rays which revealed a significant enlarged heart to confirm what the 2nd and 3rd vet suspected. My dog was diagnosed with end stages of congestive heart failure. How didn't Dr. Fotorny from Pet Dr hear the heart murmur 2 months prior when she did her FULL exams on my dog using a sethoscope? Take the responsibility that you lacked the knowledge and missed a huge diagnosis. Will my dog have died regardless? Yes, 100%, however I was able to prolong his life comfortably another 4 months with proper medication and procedures and the right vet. Please don't respond by trying to defend yourself and insult me like you do with all the other negative reviews you get. A simple apology and getting the proper retraining will go a lot further than insulting people. I will not hesitate to attach every single receipt with dates including the full exam that was performed, all labs, the abdominal sonogram pictures and report, (which by the way was interpreted stating the view of his heart was normal which infact it was significantly enlarged - again something that doesn't happen in 2 months time). You either didn't bother listening to his heart or lungs or you don't have the proper training. Take this review and try to become a better vet by getting retrained in basics. To all reading this review, I did put in a complaint with South Carolina Board of Veterinary Examiners because this was a true blatant missed diagnosis. The complaint with the state was handled accordingly and can be looked up with a FOIL request

Before I start, THIS IS NOT ABOUT MONEY…read more Pawville has changed, but necessarily for the better. New owners mean new rules, which is fine, but their communication is seriously lacking. After dealing with this place for well over a year, I've learned that you must ask the staff questions (and lots of them) to find out exactly what is included and what isn't when you pay for boarding and/or daycare. That might sound like an obvious statement, and we asked several questions when we first started bringing our dog here based on previous experiences. But when customers deal with a business for a while, they get used to the service. So, when the business decides to make some pretty significant changes to that service, is a customer being unreasonable for asking those changes to be communicated the next time they call in? According to Pawville, the answer is YES. My issue was that boarded dogs get barely any playtime now unless you pay extra. I didn't know this when we took him in. I only found out when I was picking him up because I overheard another customer discussing the same issue with the front desk associate. I'll add that we have no problem paying the extra fee. My issue is that this was not communicated to me, and as a result, our dog ended up being locked away in a room with little playtime for three days. When I talked to the manager later (Kat), she stated that daycare had been included previously with boarding because she was trying to keep customers. This is why I thought it was included in our fee. Then, she apologized and offered two free half-days of daycare. That would have been great if she hadn't followed up her apology by repeatedly insinuating it was my fault for not reading their website closely enough (we called to make the reservation, so we didn't see anything they posted at the front desk) I checked, and they do mention the change on the homepage. However, they don't explain how little "complimentary playtime" actually is. To save you the effort, I'll tell you: 15-30 minutes a day. For a business that probably relies on repeat customers, Pawville's business strategy is pretty lousy. They have lots of 5-star reviews--for now--but if this is how they operate, that will change.

Please consider passing this place up. While they have signs plastered on to their building at the…read moreentrance that they were the top dog kennel in 2020 and 2021 that is a load of BS. Initially I needed a replacement kennel when I came down for vacation and I called the local vet in Pawleys Island & whoever answered the phone told me to consider going to Benji's bed and breakfast where they ripped me off. They have quite a scheme going in there and I truly believe the elderly owner is a bit off and so is her assistant and the rest of the workers. The rest of the workers I suspect are afraid of her. The owner states in her business statement here on Yelp that she was a psychiatric nurse and do you know what she did? She went right up in my face and was screaming at me and I was afraid she was going to strike me! There was not enough causation for her to do what she did and I ended up calling the police and filing a report for my safety. They quote you a price and then they change it when you go to pick your dogs up. The change is dramatic and then they sit there and act like they never said thus and such! My credit card was grabbed off of me by her assistant and quickly charged as I'm standing there trying to plead my case that this was not the price I was told. So, they have their money, my bank is in on it for fraud, and the Better Business Bureau in that area knows all about them. I think it's time for the owner to retire. I am really and truly trying to be understanding and nice by warning others and the dangerous monetary game they are playing! Can't say I didn't try to warn you all out there! Oh, and by the way when I called the veterinarian back to let them know what happened to me down there, the girl that answered the phone said well we think something strange is going on over there for some time now and I'm going to find out who told you to go there from our boarding area and I'm going to alert all the rest of the staff. She was very apologetic and genuine.
