Discovered Ark Dental when I had to find a new dentist in SJ after moving away from Palo Alto and I am so very glad I did! 1. The terrific reviews in Yelp, Google, ZocDoc, & more are entirely accurate! It was a breeze to schedule an appointment through ZocDoc and from there it was a continued breeze to both fill out all of my new patient forms online and receive helpful text/email reminders leading up to the event for confirmation. 2. On the day of, I was greeted at a spotless reception desk (plexiglass shields, hands-free sanitizer dispenser) by a Ark team member who talked me through their Covid questionnaire, took my temperature & oximeter (complete with plastic film shield) reading, and led me to patient room. Everything was spotless, patient chair & armrests covered with sanitary plastic film, air purifier running the whole time. Was greeted by Dr. Khetani and her assistant, both of whom were incredibly kind, professional, & gentle throughout the exam and cleaning. 3. The entire appointment, team, office, & support was a delight and I only wish I'd found Ark Dental sooner! The dental office is a neat and clean place. Let me first begin with the front desk receptionist. In order to get an appointment scheduled I have to call three or four times to get something set in place. There have been multiple times where Ruben has confirmed a timing and day with me but has made changes to it last minute not informing ahead of time this becomes disappointment because I schedule my meetings around my appointments. It's been a year since I've had my fillings, one of them has also chipped. This could have easily been prevented by giving my tooth the right care at the appropriate time but Dr. Khetani did not take my concerns seriously when this was addressed in my last appointment. After chipping my tooth I called her to tell her about what happened she did not feel there was an urgency to to do a filling. My teeth are precious to me and I can not fathom losing a whole tooth due to the lack of urgency and care. If you want to jeopardize your teeth this may be the spot for you. read more

Dr. Khetani has completely restored my confidence. After years of neglecting my dental health due to fear I decided to look to Dr. Khetani for help, and I'll never look back! I came in for dental pain that had to do with incoming wisdom teeth, and she referred me to a great oral surgeon, and had all 4 wisdom teeth plus a molar that got bumped removed. Came back to Dr. Khetani for my gum disease treatment and fillings, and every single visit has been very lovely. Ruben is very welcoming, humble and transparent about pricing. Yup. Had to do it. Called to see if I can find out if they take my insurance and how much I can expect to pay for a new patient appointment. Apparently, you have to go through the entire appointment only to find out if your insurance will pay and how much. So if they don't pay much, you end up forking over the $150-200+ out of pocket! Shady practice. I've called around and gotten quotes without a problem. I saw another reviewer who had the same problem. The owner's response is just BS. Going for a new appointment is standard everywhere (examination, cleaning, X-rays, and fluoride treatment). You aren't doing any work (ex: fillings) during that first appointment, so why can't you just run the insurance for a test claim? My guess is they don't want to waste their time running claims for people and would rather screw them in the end. I don't understand how anyone can just walk in and not know if they are going to pay $0 or $200 until the end! 1 star for the guy who was really patient and nice on the phone. I could be wrong but I felt he understood how nonsensical this way of doing business was. read more

A friend recommended Dr. Khetani when I was looking for a dentist in 2019. After a few years not going to the dentist, I really wanted to find a good dentist who would provide good care, answer questions and give good advice. Dr. Khetani and her team have been very friendly and did a good job every time I've been there since 2019. On the first time, I needed a lot done, including an overdue cleaning. I usually hate cleanings as I find them painful, but with Dr. Khetani the cleaning was (almost) painless. I also needed several fillings; again, Dr. Khetani did very well. I told her I dread the anesthesia (who likes it?), and she did her best to make it the least painful possible. The second time I needed a couple of fillings, we actually skipped the anesthesia as it's not actually needed, and she did a fantastic job with no pain nor discomfort. During the pandemic, her safety precautions have been excellent and I felt very safe when I did a cleaning in late 2020. I went again mid-2021 and all went well. What I really like about Dr. Khetani is her patience and kindness. She provides dental care advice very respectfully, even to patients like myself who aren't the best at taking good care of our teeth on a daily basis... I highly recommend Ark Dental Care. read more

Five stars for sure on my first visit. New, top line facility & equipment. Pleasant, modern decor out front, clean and bright facilities in back. Appt was great and as expected from a (good) dental visit. Now the kinda unique part of this visit, we had an earthquake happen during the cleaning, and this was my first one I'd ever felt, so I was definitely freaked out. The team was all very calm and professional as things happened, and as I'm sure they could tell I was panicking, someone suggested I could go outside if I wanted to calm down before wrapping up the cleaning. Called up the office to inquire about how much would a full mouth deep cleaning cost, just without insurance, and the person on the phone just kept on confusing me with irrelevant answers but could not directly answer the question. She then finally admits that such calls need an examination (does not make sense since I have very specifically asked for a full mouth deep clean). Something shady about this place. Excellent service . Dr Khetani did fillings for me and it was such a seamless process.She made sure I was very comfortable the whole time. Once my anesthesia wore off I had no pain in my mouth or inflammation. With my past dentists I always have had to go back due to something feeling wrong or I was left with lots of pain. There are a few things that put me off finding a new dentist. The possibility of pain and not being up with technology. This office passed my first impressions with flying colors. One of my relatives recommended Ark Dental Care to me so I decided to try it out! I went here to get my deep cleaning procedure done a couple days ago. This is something that I usually dread! However, Dr. Khetani made sure my procedure was done in a timely manner and without any pain. Dr. Khetani has excellent bedside manner and customer service at the front desk was great as well. There is a small corner for kids to play in the front area which I thought was very thoughtful. The clinic is very well maintained and although it is the service the matters the most, I was in awe seeing the modern decor. Every aspect of this clinic -- from excellent service all the way to the decor had me by surprise. This clinic is new but the professionalism surpassed all my expectations. My overall experience with Dr. Khetani was great and I cannot recommend her and her staff highly enough! This dental facility is by the far one of the best experiences I have ever endure and encountered in my lifetime! Before going to my appointment, they called and advised to fill out the digital forms on their website.. which mind you, was very user friendly and easy! Once that was done, I was ready to go!! Upon walking in, the atmosphere and energy of their facility was so fresh and so clean with a modern touch! They have covid-19 precautions in place, such as heart-rate checks along side with temperature checks, and also air humidifier and hand sanitizer to ensure a safe space during this pandemic. I avoided the dentist for 6 years. Maybe even longer. In my childhood I've had just about everything done, and with some not so nice people. I came into Ark Dental absolutely nervous out of my mind. ****Dr. Khetani is simply the best. The best.**** -Her office is in a convenient location, with plenty of parking. -The office space itself is exceptionally clean, and very beautiful. -The staff is incredible competent, and quick to respond to all questions, as well as very patient. They clearly work so close and so well together, I appreciate that they are collectively so thorough, they operate like one big family. -Dr. Khetani's is incredibly empathetic and gentle, in the best way. I'm a very anxious person and I never once felt as though I was not in good hands. With her I've had multiple cavities filled, and I'm getting crown work done. I was never in pain, and her assistants are very attentive in all the processes. She made sure to pause and ensure I was ok when I got nervous, and never proceeded until I gave the go ahead. -Dr. Khetani and her staff are very transparent with billing, ensuring there are no "surprises" for the patient (which I've had before). They likewise are SO quick to make sure the insurance claims are filed (as opposed to some places that are very slow with filing claims and it's a whole thing). -Dr. Khetani is exceptionally knowledgable, and makes sure that you know all your options from the get go. She keeps in mind patient fiscal restrictions and is very sensitive in making THE best decision for you and your dental future. For one of my teeth I need a bit more love (a tricky root canal) and I was referred to a specialist, and again, I mean. I can't rave enough about how insightful she was. I had 0 issues with the specialist she referred me to for the other procedure. I think I've conquered my fear of the dentist in the time I've spent with her. Dr.Khetani and her staff were very supportive from the moment I walked in. I explained my history and they accommodated me. I needed to have xrays done and they took the proper precautions since I am pregnant. She explained what next steps would be and we set up appointments to get cavities taken care of. She took a ton of x rays and used a monitor above the chair to show me the super high quality pictures and explained everything to me. During the cleaning she checked in routinely to make sure nothing was uncomfortable, and was quick and efficient. I had to have a couple fillings done, and she was so helpful in telling me exactly how much it would cost and what my insurance would cover.
