We took it to several other places that didn't really want to deal with it, I found this business via Yelp and as a recommendation from The Gallery Shooting Range. These guys welcomed us in, chatted us up and immediately got to work on the rifle. They even have the ability to test fire weapons right there on site. The problem was diagnosed in five minutes and repaired in ten minutes. In the meantime, we were shown around and given a detailed explanation of the Cera Kote process. The rifle was returned to us and they refused to take a payment from us as the fix was simple. This is our new gun smith as no experience we've ever had in this genre gets anywhere near the positive experience of this place. These guys really love and know their guns. I did find it a bit "clicky" and it's very clear they have regulars and cronies that get served better and faster than those of us new to the store. Their prices are on the high end of retail, very near MSRP which is traditionally high. They have a great selection of the high end stuff like FN SCARS but the prices are higher than most. Lastly I had a bag of gold rings to sell. I wanted to say that EVERY EMPLOYEE was beyond polite and professional. They listened to every one of my 'ask's' and immediately said yes. They told me to give them a couple of days on the design for the new bracelet for my approval. When I received their ideas, it was exactly what I wanted. A week later my bangle and my bracelet were shortened perfectly. Two weeks later my cross bracelet arrived. Unfortunately, I damaged the clasp the first week. The damage was completely due to MY misuse. Not their skill. (I am EXTREMELY HARD ON JEWELRY) We took it back in to be repaired. I just picked it up. They put on a heavy duty clasp at my request. Ark Tactical isn't your normal shop. They are always friendly and helpful. They will take the time to answer questions and solve problems. Noah actually pulled a solution off the internet for a problem I had with my Tavor trigger pull. He had a way to solve the issue for free and was happy to help. They have a nice selection and will order for you if it isn't there. Many shops make you feel like you are intruding but at Ark Tactical...it's like stopping by a good friends house! The man that owns and operates it is named Warren and he loves to chat about guns. He is a veritable encyclopedia on modern and older firearms. His business is primarily taking in consignment firearms and selling them as well as buying estate items. He does have a few new handguns that are worth perusing. Parking was simple and the building is clean and organized. I have a few rifles I don't use that I might employ him to consign for me. Next I asked about their 22lr ammo. he brought over a big box of 333 Winchester rounds. I asked him "this don't run well for me, do you have CCI mini-mags?" And instead of a yes/no, he decided to tell me "I've never had that issue. my gun runs any 22 ammo I put in it". I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR GUN DOES. ANSWER MY QUESTION. I left the store livid, with 2 boxes of cheap ammo that was way upcharged. I would rate 0 stars if possible. Absolutely abysmal experience.

On top of that, ammo prices are noticeably higher than what you'll find at big‑box stores, which makes it harder to justify shopping local.
