Our roof was in a bad state and had started to leak damaging the wood underneath. Alpha roofing took care of everything. They replaced all the old wood with new one and got it approved by an inspector. They used quality materials every step of the way and took care of the outside of the house by cleaning up after every day. Replacing a roof is a big expense, but Andy (the owner) took care of us by offering us a great value for the cost and even offered an installment plan. They only took pay after each segment of the project was complete. It's the best feeling not to have to worry about the roof. We had multiple leaks in different areas of our home and there was a significant storm coming. We need a complete replacement of all materials under our tile. Erik made sure to have someone come out (even on a weekend) to completely tarp our roof so that we wouldn't have any more damage before the job started. It was horribly windy and they came back out again to replace the tarp and make sure we were protected. The actual job was done from start to finish in a little over a week without big breaks or days off from our house (hate when contractors disappear for days). Permitting was all official and posted on our door for the duration. City approval was obtained quickly once the job was done. The team cleaned to everything and was very respectful of our home and outdoor space throughout. Our home has so many solar panels. We needed someone who could remove them safely and disconnect them and put them back up at the end of the job. Also, reinstalling bird proofing netting under the panels to avoid another problem with birds after fixing our roof! Having said that, we were not pleased with the 5-Digit bump in price over the quote once the job started. And I get it, some repairs weren't noticeable until old layers were removed. However, Modern Roofing had been in the attic before providing the quote, and made no mention of needed attic repairs until the roof was stripped to the rafters over a weekend and rain in the forecast within a week. At that point, really, what's to be done but agree to the price increase.
