I'm a school teacher and on the way to the first day of school a rock was thrown from a truck and…read moreput a huge crack in my windshield. I wasn't completely disappointed, because I needed to have the clear top of my car removed and reinstalled. No glass company would touch my car, in fear of breaking the top. I called the only Mercedes-Benz dealer that was a certified Smart car repair shop. Nashville is 6 hours from Little Rock. Driving 6 hours to spend $450 to have my roof removed and replaced, never matched my calendar availability, which shows how inconvenient replacing my windshield and having my top repaired was going to be, especially having the busy schedule of a high school teacher. Maurice Camp is the owner of Camp Glass and relies on word of mouth, which is the best advertising for any company. I happened to see Maurice sitting in his truck the afternoon of my windshield breakage. I knocked on his truck window and asked how he can help me. I asked if his company works with State Farm and Camp Glass does. I asked him to take a look at my Smart car and he said the windshield will be no problem and he immediately checked stock on my windshield type and it WAS in stock. Maurice told me he never worked on a Smart car before, but was more than confident he could remove and reinstall my roof, which was coming unglued and I could hear wind rushing into my car when driving. I showed him a YouTube video regarding steps involved with doing the job. Maurice let me know he would not need a video, but will rely on his lifetime of glass removal and installation to do the job. He was not wrong! His precision in regard to the removal and reinstall of my factory installed roof was more exact than the factory installation and much more secure. Camp Glass did what no other glass company in Arkansas would do. Highly recommended!

I contacted Camp Glass through Yelp and communicated with them through messaging bc my phone…read morecoverage Is spotty. They were very responsive and gave me a better deal than a nationwide company. This is fact, bc my insurance company told me what the national company would have charged and it was significantly higher. We scheduled the job for about a week out and Maurice and his helper did a fine job installing the glass, it looks beautiful and works as it should. Maurice was also good about working with us bc my husband had painted my car earlier in the month and some of the parts weren't reinstalled yet. However Maurice found what he needed in "the pile of parts" and put everything back together as it should have been. I should clarify that basically he needed the plastic part to hold up the windshield and then he went a step beyond and installed the wipers too, even though my husband said he would do it later. overall I was extremely satisfied with the work, the only feedback I would give the company is to schedule a range of time for when they might arrive...we scheduled for two hours earlier than they arrived. This may have been my mistake, but my recollection is they were scheduled for 1 pm and arrived at 3 pm. Had they said "between 1 and 3 pm", I would not have been wondering for two hours whether they were going to come to do the work. Hiowever, overall, I wIll definitely rely in this company for future glass needs. One tip is that if you have glass coverage thru your insurance co, call them first and give them Camp Glass's phone number, so you can select Camp Glass as your installer...you can select whoever you want, but I prefer to hire local when possible and you're gonna get a better deal.

They do not meet timelines, they do not order parts in a timely manner and keep coming up with apologies and excuses as to why they do not have your vehicle done within the alloted time the insurance company allots or when they state it will be done. I carried my pickup in to Landers on 23 September and it is now 24 October and it still is not done. It was allegedly to be done by close of business tomorrow but today I get a call saying it wont be done until maybe Wednesday next week. I was in there Monday a week ago and paid them the full amount my insurance had transferred to me and was told it needed additional parts. The guy handling my account called the technician and supposedly was told the parts had been ordered and were due in the following day. The account manager made the remark that he could not find in the computer where the parts had been ordered, with me sitting there, and he knows who I am talking about furthermore his screen was turned where I could read it and I did not see any parts having been ordered in the few days prior to that day. When I called Friday to get a status he told me the parts had just arrived Thursday afternoon, two days later than what I was told they would arrive, so that provided proof that they had not ordered the parts until I went in asking about it and thecompletion of the truck I even had to provide parts numbers, for them on some of the aftermarket parts and source of supply for them. Approximately 6 weeks without a vehicle. If I had taken a rental car the allotted time the insurance company would pay for it has long come and gone and I would now be now paying for it out of pocket. Money I do not have. I do not recommend this body shop to anyone. Go somewhere else and run as fast as you can from this body shop. I will not be coming back to this body shop if I ever need another one and I pray that I never need one again. My next call is to my insurance company and file a complaint against this body shop. My advice is for people,to run away very fast from this body shop. If this body shop is any way related to,Steve,Landers I highly revommend that he remove his, name, from it because it is a massive stain on his reputation. If I could I would give them a Negative 10 stars UPDATE: 29 October I just hung up with the Manager over my truck at this body shop and he is now saying it will be Friday not Wednesday, like he had stated earlier, which I dont believe. He also stated that he would authorize a rental car at their expense which I dont believe either I am sure the bill would be sent to my insurance company, which is paying for the repair of my truck because even tho the lady that hit me was found at fault her insurance only would accept 50 percent liability and it is now in arbortration. Furthermore I feel that the offer of a rental car this late is a clue that they are gonna keep dragging their feet on the completion of it. Plus I have now way to get to the shop and pick it up Friday as the better half is working till late Friday on overtime. These people are full of crap, lies, excuses, and apologies which I am sick of hearing UPDATE: 31 October just hung up with the manager over my truck at the body shop with an update. Told them Monday they had till Close of business today to finish it but wait I got more excuses and it wont be done again maybe Tomorrow 1 November. Allegedly his GM got involved and allegedly he is mpre or less closing the shop to finish my truck, yes right nobody in their mind would do this. And no Landers Body Shop I dont believe this BS line of crap, if the GM said such then he should have called,me,not this guy over my truck. I do not expect to get my truck until Monday of I am lucky, tho I will say they offered to let me pick it up Saturday but then again I have no way there since the better half is working again on Saturday for an unspecified period of time . more to come I am sure UPDATE. It is now renamed Campbells Body Shop according to Google
