Reading Facebook posts off and there's been several people who took back pets and those people because they know the people there were able to get a pet. Because I live 30 minutes away and had to rush home to get my dog during peak rush hour traffic, I proactively called ahead to let them know I was running late. Instead of showing any understanding for a working person trying to get medical attention for their pet, they were completely rigid. They strictly enforced a "grace window" policy, entirely dismissing the fact that they still had a full hour left before closing at 6:00 PM. To make matters worse, when we called to ask about payment options, the staff treated my wife with an absolute lack of respect. Their only solutions were entirely unrealistic for the average working person. They flippantly told me to just "reschedule" (which isn't easy when you work until 5:30 PM every day) or suggested I drop my dog off at 7:30 AM and leave her there until 6:00 PM. Why would I trust an establishment to watch my dog all day when they've already made it clear they don't care enough to do what they can to see her? This place operates like a rigid corporate machine, not a veterinary clinic that cares about animals or the people who love them. If you work a regular job or expect to be treated with basic respect and empathy during a stressful time with your pet, look elsewhere. They clearly do not care.
