This place used to be great and I have been going here for 20 years, but with the recent doctor and staff changes I had to make a change. It became too corporate with an unsympathetic assembly line vibe. The front staff were always rather crude but I tolerated them. However today they were downright snide and obnoxious and they know who they are! They essentially coerced me into finding another vet. I did, and now I wish I did it years ago. I have been coming here for 3 years to buy my dog's Science diet prescription dog food. I am not a patient as I was told 3 years ago that they weren't accepting new pts. But they would sell me the food. (Interesting, because most vets require an Rx from your vet to sell it to you but Arlington doesn't require that. Odd to say the least.) My relationship began to deteriorate with them this past June. In June, I had called on a Saturday and got a woman on the phone who was trying to get me off the phone. Then she hung up on me. I called back, thinking the call had dropped and found that the phone had been shut off. Now, I usually come during the week and I didn't realize it was 10 minutes until closing time. In any event, I talked to a member of management when the practice opened on the next business day. I told her I had been hung up on. Today I had another run-in and this time I was told they didn't want me to return. And this in public in front of other patients. There was a long line of patients there when I came in, so I figured, to be helpful, to go pick up the case of dog food I wanted to buy and bring it to the counter - to help things move along so that one of the ladies didn't have to get up and get it for me. (I am an elderly woman with a bad back but I figured I should try to help out as much as I could.) I asked the gentleman in front of me if he could hold my place in line and he agreed to. I went and got the food and brought it back to the counter. The line had moved more quickly than I anticipated and I was next. There is a woman who works there whom I have had a hard time with before and she told me that the man behind me was next, which was incorrect and I told her so. She looked at her colleague sitting next to her with a grin - they both were grinning. Then she turned back to me and I told her I would be using a credit card. They had announced a price increase for using credit cards a while back so, again, I was trying to be helpful to keep things moving along. She obviously wasn't listening to me (a bad character trait for someone who is ostensibly in customer service) and proceeded to ask me how I was paying; I repeated that I was paying with a credit card and then said I just told you that. She then told me, in front of all the other patients, that I was rude. I asked to speak to the manager who came out and told me that my business was no longer welcome there. I have had, or so I thought, a decent relationship with this manager. I don't really blame any of this on her. We had established a personal rapport already. But today, she told me it was the "3rd time" a problem had happened with me. I reminded her that it was only twice - today being the 2nd time as already outlined in this post. She then said they were very busy, short staffed and that they had had many patients who were complaining today about the price increase for credit cards. None of this is my fault. This is more of an inability to handle stress in an understaffed environment rather than something that can be pinned on any individual patient. In any event, I was kicked out. It is extremely difficult to find a vet that sells the type of food my dog needs, so it is terrifying when this type of thing happens. The last time, I had an issue with this vet, when I was hung up on, I looked at Yelp's website and saw all the negative reviews. However, I was a captive audience because of the difficulty of obtaining this type of food. I just found out that Chewy carries it and it is somewhat cheaper than Arlington Animal's charge for the same item. (The last time I checked, it wasn't.) Bottom line is this: I was humiliated in front of other customers. If you want to sever your relationship with a regular customer, take them aside. It is no excuse to publicly shame them because you are busy, short staffed and having to deal with multiple irate customers. I have worked in and around medicine (including veterinary medicine) my entire adult life. Maybe it doesn't matter how you "dispose" of people if you are no longer going to be getting money from them. Maybe people become throwaways at that point. Of course, no one wants to believe that about any medical practice, human or animal. To sum up, it is a long-time truism that an unhappy customer will generally inform about 13 others of a negative experience as opposed to a person recounting a positive experience which is usually only shared with 1 other person. Horrible experience, been a client for over 10 years, I had a sick dog, was told no appointments available, I asked what should I do? I was told "I have no idea" the next day they called me to schedule a healthy visit for my other dog, told me they had many appointments available. I took an appointment, and asked why did they have no appointments the day before, but plenty the following day, the girl got extremely nasty, and said the office manager would call me. No call was received, and when I called to verify the healthy visit, I was told I was no longer a client there. I am in disbelief on the rudeness of the entire office staff. I couldn't be happier. Dr. Quattro and Dr. Mintzer have been wonderful with my dog Socrates and my cat Puma. Puma recently had to go over the Rainbow Bridge due to health problems and being 16 1/2 years old. Dr Quattro and staff was so kind, understanding and supportive. They always put your fur babies first. I've never had a problem getting my animals in, especially in an emergency. Their prices are workable and they work with you to make sure your fur babies are taken care of and live a long life. I'm glad I came to this place years ago from a different vet. My experience with Arlington Animal Hospital didn't start off unpleasant. However I did come to them as a last resort because my previous vet was over capacity and didn't have room for a emergency I had for one of my dogs. Shortly after having one of my beloved pets cremated at their hospital, I had the displeasure of talking with Office Manager Nicole Peterson. Our first conversation started off rocky when I tried to get a prescription for heart worm pills and schedule a appointment with Nicole Peterson. She had a tone in her voice the entire time, she was completely unprofessional and condescending every chance she got. Still I persevered because my dogs health always came first. So even though she gave us a specific time and price for the appointment, I called the day before the appointment to confirm in case I could come in earlier. Well I guess if you aren't liked by Nicole Peterson she will conveniently" not schedule you in" for a appointment and take it out on you through your dogs. She pretty much gas lighted my entire family who also heard Nicole agree to bring my dogs in as per our previous conversation. (She was on speaker phone and a family member was writing down the time of the appointment as she was saying it.) The next available appointment was two months out and she basically called us a liar. Regardless I could not believe she was telling me that the appointment didn't exist, she was being rude about it as well and not even attempting any kind of decent customer service. So I asked to talk to her supervisor. However the whole team must be "team Peterson" over there because the supervisor immediately took Nicole Peterson's side and didn't care the hear how she was mistreating a client. I don't know what exactly I did to Nicole to warrant such disrespect or lack of kindness in the first place or what nonsense she came up with for justifying lying and treating our dogs this way. So this brings us up to date to present. My youngest dog had a injury recently and once again my main veterinarian was over capacity. So I decided to give Arlingiton Animal Hospital one more chance and seek help for my beloved pet. I am not the type to hold grudges after all. After talking to the receptionist I found out that our very own Nicole Peterson had us banned for life! In hindsight I found that hilarious because I was essentially banned for calling Nicole Peterson a liar. (It was extremely anti climatic too, because usually a client is banned for something hostile like stealing, shouting, yelling. or acting violent. All things that never happened between us.) I had to wonder if Nicole Peterson is just not used to someone standing up to her when she does something wrong and immoral. It makes me sad to leave this review because I did try my best to resolve this with the owner Doctor Howard Mintzer. All we wanted was acknowledgement for what Nicole Peterson did. Some kind of general understanding that what she did was wrong and they could of been spared this negative review. I am not a "Karen" and I don't enjoy wasting my time with negativity. Most of the time if someone in customer service is having a bad day, I don't take it personally. However what they did to my family over at Arlington Animal Hospital left a extreme bad taste in my mouth. If they are going to be petty and immature to us over a scheduled doctor visit, then how do I know they aren't going to mistreat one of my dogs? My advise to anyone who is interested in their service is to watch out and approach with extreme caution. Because the moment you get on Nicole Peterson's bad side she will treat you like dirt and go out of her way to turn the entire staff against you. This story does have a good ending though! I found a awesome vet closer to me that treats us very well! So I am happy I don't go to Arlington Animal Hospital anymore! My dog is doing good and everyone is healthy. They took such great care of her and were so friendly and attentive every time I called to check in. I wasn't going to bother writing something, but after seeing so many similar stories it's hard not to agree. Don't be blind sided by the lovely exterior of the building, the people inside seem to make it their mission to make you feel like a moron. Animals don't matter as much as treating their clients like they shouldn't own a dog. We started taking our Australian shepherd here when he was a puppy, only to be laughed at and mocked for certain things, like questions about what chews would be good for him. Any questions seemed to be a nuisance to the vet and the nursing staff. We'd often go home feeling shamed. Both my husband and I have a long history of owning MANY breeds of dogs successfully, we aren't new to pet ownership. They charged us over 800$ for basic vaccines. When we boarded him for 4 days, he was returned covered in urine. His bright white paws were stained yellow. His under belly was soaking wet. He had an eye infection which they refused to address. We boarded with them again several months later... who ever was on the phone was clearly annoyed our dog was coming back and huffed and sighed as we tried to make the appointment. Same thing, came back covered in urine. They did random tests we did not permit and charged us several hundred for medications to treat a "UTI". A UTI he never had, and was never printed on the billing statement. His new veterinary care even questioned why he was put on medication and couldn't get them to even say which one it was. We keep every bill and receipt for this exact reason. We moved vets immediately and couldn't be happier now. It's sad to see the manager fighting people in the reviews when they know what they're doing wrong. It's all about the money, animal wellbeing means nothing. read more

Do not bring your animals here! They will allow your pet to escape, run into the street, and then they'll refuse to take responsibility for their negligence that resulted in the death of a puppy. They'll also laugh in your face, have you escorted off the property and whine to the police when you try to pick up your deceased pet's belongings (they threw everything away), as if you are the one in the wrong. This place needs to be shut down and Dr. Quattro needs to reevaluate her choice of profession since she clearly doesn't care about the well-being of animals. My name is Gauge and I just celebrated my 1 year old Birthday!!! I have 2 Sisters and my Mommy and Daddy Cherish us all as their babies! I loved to play with my sisters and run all around the yard with them, play and splash in the pool, chase my balls and play with my sisters and my mommy and daddy and loved being free to run and explore!!! I loved giving Kisses and Hugs to everyone and protecting my family and making them feel safe!! My Doctors advised my Mommy and Daddy that I should be Neutered for my Health. After much thought and deliberation my Mommy and Daddy decided to take the advise of the Doctor and took me to the Doctor to be Neutered. When I came home I was not myself. I was suffering and struggling to be myself. I could not help my actions and became aggressive and although I did not mean it I bit a person, I was suffering terribly from whatever was done to me or given to me. I went to Arlington Animal Hospital my sweet self and came out not knowing what was wrong with me. I was so scared and sad. I did a bad thing and my Mommy and Daddy as much as it absolutely killed them to say goodbye to me, had no choice but to send me to the Rainbow Bridge. My Mommy and Daddy called the Owner Dr. Quatro to try and see if maybe see if this has ever happened before or maybe the meds I was given were not good for me and they were treated HORRIBLE by her!!!! She responded by stating I didn't know your dog and nothing happened here. She then stated she did not have time for this (to speak with them) and hung up on them and would not even look at my chart to see why I had to leave them so soonl My Mommy and Daddy were just trying to see what happened to me to leave them so soon and why my life was taken from me so soon and I couldn't run and play anymore. Called because our dog has a tick and we can't get it off. And the spot is really irritated. Our usual vet is closed because they had a COVID outbreak but we saw that Arlington Animal Hospital had decent reviews so we figured we'd give them a call and see if they could help. The woman on the phone was very rude. She said "um no we can't take a dog we've never seen before just for that." Didn't offer any advice - sounded very snarky on the phone. I have been taking my pets (3 cats, 1 dog) to Arlington Animal Hospital since the 90's. Over the years the standard of care has dropped to an abysmal level. (This refers to Dr. Quattro and staff in Arlington only, I haven't been to see Dr. Mintzer over in Hyde Park in many, many years). It doesn't matter which veterinarian my dog sees, I do not get the information I need to make an educated decision about his care. They do not give me choices for treatment but instead push what they "usually" do instead. Many of the staff (front desk, vet techs and even on occasion the veterinarians) do not listen, do not seem to care, and most recently have been very rude. I boarded my dog a few years ago, and gave them instructions on his care (including needing to walk him with a harness not a collar because he pulls) and he came back to me coughing (from being walked with a collar) and extremely agitated. They didn't care. Most recently he was diagnosed as being Lyme positive. I wasn't given a choice of the form of medication he was to be given (prescribed by Dr. Stadnes  even though my dog had been examined by Dr. Quattro). They're on curbside service, so I didn't get to see the medicine till after it was paid for and brought to my car. The Doxycycline was in a large capsule (I have a Chihuahua). I tried to administer the medicine. He tried to chew it/spat it out, so I contacted Arlington and asked if I could open it and put the meds into food. I was told by vet tech Brianna it was caustic and can hurt the esophagus. She told me there is a liquid and pills but tried to convince me not to do either. Through our two separate conversations her story kept changing. She later said they don't even have the liquid version (after telling me first it tastes bad and animals don't like it) but later that they just got some but maybe not enough, they're not allowed to keep much. The pill version I was told has to go to a lab to be made and that it is even more expensive. I told her that I knew of someone with a Chihuahua whose vet gave her an RX which she took to CVS, and she is cutting the pills and her vet said that was just fine. She told me that the pills are bad for the stomach if cut. That makes no sense because eventually the pills have to dissolve in the stomach to be able to disperse the medicine to the blood/body so they can work. But apparently the ones they can get in the lab are the right dose and size and whatever and would be fine, but it would have to be mailed to my home and she was just trying to save me money in that respect. I asked for a refund on the capsules because I was going to have to throw them out and I don't think that I should have to eat the cost when I wasn't given the option of the liquid (which would have been my choice had I known the size of the capsules) or pills in the first place. She told me that Nicole the Practice Manager makes those decisions and she wasn't back into the office until the following Tuesday. I was willing to wait till then to start treatment (my dog is not suffering, we only found the Lyme because he was tested for heartworm as part of the well visit). We went in circles and she would eventually get mad and hand me off to Dr. Redden, even though I told her I would wait to talk to Nicole instead since Dr. Redden couldn't make the decision on the refund. Dr. Redden first gave me the same story she did. But he also made a few very confusing and contradictory remarks. He said they did have enough liquid. He said it is chicken flavor but also bitter. He said that the content of the capsules is caustic to the esophagus but yet nothing about the stomach, and... hello... science again -- eventually the capsule coating has to dissolve to let the medicine into the system too so that makes no sense either. He also repeated what Briana said about the pills being cut, and that also the disbursement of the medicine in the pill may not be even and part of it may have more than another and it could over or under dose. I asked for an alternate medication, he said they don't work as well. He tried to convince me to get the liquid meds *right now* instead of waiting. Eventually I said that I had been going there a long time but if I had to go elsewhere I would. He then went from zero to sixty, told me I was threatening him, that I didn't want to accept any of the options they were giving me (that was a laugh!) and refused to listen to anything else I had to say. They're just making nonsensical excuses in order to force me (and likely other clients) to purchase medications through them at their inflated prices. I did receive a refund. But But I asked that they take five minutes to confirm my dog's vaccination records to a 3rd party and they are refusing out of spite. If I need them to do this for a new vet's office will they do the same? read more

I used to take my animals here many years ago. I brought a pet in on an emergency, they wouldn't see me and referred me out. Then 5 years ago, I gave them another chance and even though they were expensive, I kept going there because they were convenient. Then I got a puppy. From 8 weeks I took that puppy in, telling them I needed to have him board there in 6 months. The vet told me there would be no problem. EVERY MONTH i would bring the puppy in for a visit, was told by the vet there was no problem for boarding so i made plans to go away. Until 3 months ago, when I asked to have him visit the kennels because i wanted the puppy to be used to the kennelwhen it was time for him to board. They wouldn't let me see the kennels, took my puppy to the back without me. They came out after 2 minutes and adamantly told me I could not board my dog there- not because he was aggressive, but because he was too afraid, leaving me high and dry after I got plane tickets and a vacation package. When I spoke to the vet, she said nothing. She lied to me. Then my dog had an emergency. They did not pick up and I had to find another vet on a Friday night at 9:30 because arlington didn't even respond to the emergency. There are several other vets in the area that won't turn your animal away. Don't make the same mistakes I made. A vet is supposed to care for animals, not turn their backs on them. Do your diligence and don't go somewhere just because it's convenient. A doctor shouldn't lie to a patient, no matter what type of patient it is. read more

Terrible! If you continue going here only a matter of time before something negative happens. Things started out well and then got progressively worse. I originally brought my cat here years ago because Dr. Standnes was one of the few vets that would treat my asthmatic cat with oral inhalers. The original vet that started him on oral inhalers had retired. We treated him with the inhalers and then steroid allergy shots. 1 Staff was rude. Called to get my cat in during an asthma attack, it was near closing. I was told to hurry up because they were closing and didn't want to stay late. 2. I applied to a local rescue to foster a dog, they needed to verify my vet. The staff not only verified that I was a client but stated that I also owed them money. a: Not true b: personal information 2. I was left in an exam room with my nervous cat for 45 minutes because they had forgotten about me. Dr. thought it was funny and took a percentage off my bill. 3. When I researched nutrition and allergies in pets, I took my cat off all grains. Surprise, no more asthma! I was told by Dr, it was a coincidence and he outgrew the asthma (at 10 years old!) or was it to keep me coming in for allergy shots and blood work? read more

I brought my cat to get a grooming and was not told that a physical would be done on the animal in order for his hair to be cut. Therefore, I was charged for an examination that I was never told that he would have to receive. They then put him under anesthesia to groom him and he ended up having a seizure and spending hours recuperating. In the end, they wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for what was supposed to be a simple grooming of a short haired cat. I had to speak with many different people and was worried about what condition my cat was in..... Overall, I refused to pay the obscene amount but nobody in charge of managing the place EVER CALLED ME BACK TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. OVERALL-They charge too much and are not transparent about those costs upfront. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET. Who gets charged hundreds of dollars for a grooming and then has to worry about a cat that had a seizure due to anesthesia under their care!??? Awful. Just awful.... read more

Dr. Standnes and his staff are amazing. I just recently had a emergency with my dog diamond and she needed emergency surgery. The dr explained the whole procedure to me and kept me informed with updates on her recovery while she was in their care. They went above and beyond for my baby and saved her life. If it wasnt for their office being open and taking her in right away, she would of passed away. They were more concerned with closing up shop than the life of my cat. They wouldn't wait until she stabilized. They sent me out the door because they were closing and my cat died in the car. They couldn't sell me the apparatus to bag her while we went to another facility, and she died coughing up blood in my car. There is a special place in hell for those responsible. You know who you are. Heartless, callous, and evil. They do not care about animals. This is just a business to them. You did not allow my cat to somewhat stabilize before putting her in a box to go five minutes away. Her blood pressure was down and you rushed us out of there, to induce death. The blood is completely on your hands. My review is not the only one of its kind. You could not remain open not a single minute past closing for my cat to have a chance at life. Tell me how you stayed late to insure my cat was transportable? I wrote this review awhile ago, how attentive of you to notice now. You know what you did and you will have to live with it. Terrible bedside manner and terrible business practices! Recently, I took my dog Lucky in for a bite she had on her foot. First off, Dr. Quattro ( who I later found out is the owner of this place) didn't even say hello to Lucky and just asked us to put her on the table. When we did Lucky got a little nasty bc the doctor immediately started poking and examining her. I had to ask if there were any treats to try to calm her down. It was almost as if this doctor/ owner of the animal hospital didn't even like dogs. Then this "doctor" was taking blood from her back foot and seemed as though she was an amateur. She poked her about 6 times before hitting a vein. My poor baby was terrified. They had to send out Lucky's blood to test for Lyme. I was expecting a call back with the results. Two weeks later I decide to call them and they had to call me back. This took almost 6 hours. When they called me back they told me that Lucky is positive for Lyme and that her meds are there waiting to be picked up. In their notes, it said that Dr. Quattro called me 2 days after the appt to tell me this but the number they called from was not their main line and she DID NOT leave a message! At the time, I thought nothing of this missed call. So this doctor and probably most of the women who work in the front there knew that these meds had been sitting there for 2 weeks!!! Why would they not try to call me again? Needless to say, we picked up the meds immediately along with Lucky's medical records. We will not be returning to this awful place and I will be sure to share my story with as many people as possible. read more

My cat was sick and needed to see a Vet. He has never been sick before and is an indoor cat,so he has not seen a vet in 5 years. I called several local Vets and was told they were all booked up etc. I then called Arlington and they saw him right away. The office staff and Vets are great,the office and store is cleaner than my doctors office. My cat needed surgery and he was treated like my child. Everything was explained and all of my questions were answered. My cat is doing great and he will def be going back every year for his checkups. read more

We've been bringing our pets here for years and the doctors were great, however, about two or so years ago, the prices kept increasing. That was still tolerable in order to see the good doctors but the rating stars on Yelp alone went from 4/4.5 to the abysmal ratings they receive now after the hire of a certain manager. This ratings decline was single-handedly achieved once their current office manager took over. Additionally, from looking at reviews on Indeed, current and former employees have identified this person as a cancer to this business. Now, from the perspective of a customer, I've seen countless customers get yelled at, had the cops called on them for questioning bills and much more. We left this practice solely because we've had enough of the nastinesses or robotic careless attitude (on her good day) of this manager. She's tarnished the reputation of this business, and although all veterinarians are busy currently under Covid, AAH will take a deep nosedive when things get back to normal and people can once again choose well run businesses who appreciate their customers. read more

I went to this vet years ago because it was the closest to me. I stayed there for years because, honestly, that's what I thought you were supposed to do... stay with one vet (at that time, there weren't many vets in the area). During my years there, I witnessed many things that I thought were heartless ie. turning away a customer whose dog was dieing right in front of us because she didn't have a down payment. Also, called the police on a woman who was disputing her bill, kicked her out the building and wouldn't give her her dog. Personally, I always went to the vet for the minimum, yearly shots, etc. I always thought the receptionists were snotty and rude and I always got the feeling that I was bothering them just by walking in. But whatever, I thought, just get the job done so I can leave. Then I got a new puppy. My cousin is a vet tech so she advised me what each shot was and which were necessary for my dog to receive. For example, kennel cough, only really need it if you plan on boarding your dog. And the Lyme vaccine, doesn't prevent your dog from getting Lyme and the actual vaccine can work negativity in your dog's body. So when I walked in there, I felt confident in what I wanted. Well Dr.Riddick made it seem that if I didn't get the Lyme or Kennel Cough vaccine that my puppy was doomed for death. When I asked questions, I felt like he was offended instead of trying to educate me or console me. He just kept insisting they were needed. He made me feel like I'd be a horrible Dog mom if I didn't, so I did. Then Dr. Riddick gave all vaccinations in the roughest way I ever saw, not gentle at all. I don't know if he was taking his frustrations out on my dog, or if that's just the way he works. Either way, he totally traumatized my puppy. I don't know why I went back for my 2nd round of shots, pure ignorance I'd have to say... This time it was Dr.Quatro. She seemed lovely at first, smiling and nice. Until I started asking questions. Then her whole demeanor changed. I saw her become a snob within seconds. These dogs are our kids, we want to know what's going on!! I don't understand why both doctors felt I was challenging them with simple questions. Everyone pays an automatic office fee in addition to all the extra charges, so to me that means that's my time to explain, listen, ask questions and have questions and concerns answered. My puppy was nervous due to his first experience there, so she put the smallest muzzle on him. A puppy!! Muzzled!!! Really? She gave him all his remaining shots WITHOUT TAKING HIS TEMPERATURE FIRST!!! That could have been life threatening!! When I questioned this she told me it wasn't necessary (which I later learned that their temp MUST be taken before all vaccines). Then she clipped his nails. Honestly, I thought, well that's very nice of her. But low and behold, I was charged $15 for nail clipping!! I told them I didn't ask for that, she just did it. They told me, too late. I should've stopped her then. How unprofessional is that?!! Needless to say, I never returned. Even driving by there gives me a bad taste in my mouth. I have since learned that I can choose a vet that I feel comfortable with and in hindsight, I can remember everything they did wrong and how they made me feel like a stupid, little kid. Plus it always smelled like urine in there. I've experienced many different vets in the years following my experience with them. For my dogs, for my mom's dog and my friends dogs and ALL other vets supercede Arlington by far. I always think that they've studied what Arlington does and make sure that's what they don't do. I was almost certain that my dog was suffering from an ear infection, so I scheduled an appointment to bring him in. Although grateful that I could get in so quickly, I am very unhappy about how the visit went. Upon entering the exam room the vet (Dr. Quattro) proceeded to ask "will he bite", I laughed and replied "not at all". It was obvious that he was very interested in what she was doing, moving his head and such, but at no point did he display-and never displays-any form of aggression. Apparently Dr. Quattro was not convinced, so she decided to muzzle him. Although questionable (since NO AGGRESSION WAS DISPLAYED), I understand that she was simply doing what made her feel most comfortable. In doing so, she chose the tiniest muzzle possible. She forced the muzzle on him and automatically his breathing changed (keep in mind he already faces breathing problems as an English bulldog). Because of his change in breath, I asked "are you sure he is ok", she replied "yes". Though my gut felt otherwise, I trusted her and allowed her to proceed with the exam. After a few minutes it was clear that he was very uncomfortable so the muzzle was taken off. Once it was taken off, he began to inhale deeply as if he wasn't getting enough oxygen and Dr. Quattro's response to this was, "oh he is just excited". It was very clear that he could not breathe properly. After wrapping up the visit, we headed to the groomer to get his nails clipped. Before getting out of the car, I noticed that his lower lip/chin was bleeding. This was a direct result of the small muzzle that was forced on. 2 Points: 1.) What is your protocol for muzzling animals, particularly animals that show no sign of aggression? 2.) If you choose to muzzle an animal, USE THE CORRECT SIZE MUZZLE. After dealing with this, I contacted my brother who goes to this vet with his dog and he shared that he had a poor experience the last time he went as well. Outside of this experience, the customer service is very cold particularly from the two vets that I have seen. Receptionist are great, but they are not the ones directly caring for my dog. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Dr. Redden and the staff at Arlington Animal Hospital (AAH). I called them, on a Thursday evening during a desperate search for a veterinarian in our area that could urgently see my cat (who was 22-25 years old, had drastically deteriorated due to long term thyroid disease and who's regular vet could not see him). Although AAH did not have slots available, they told me to come in and that as long as we were patient and didn't mind waiting, the doctor would see us. Once we arrived, the doctor examined our cat right away and helped us make the best decision for our animal. Making that decision is never easy but I'm so grateful for Dr. Redden and the staff at Arlington Animal Hospital for the kindness they showed us and our beloved cat in our time of need and even afterwards. We had never been there previously, yet they stepped up and helped our cat when his regular vet didn't. We will be returning for the care for our other animals and highly recommend you giving them a try. read more

I take 2 of my pets here a cat and a dog (pitbull) every issue any of them has ever had, skin problems,allergies, trauma from a fall,and severe liver problems have been diagnosed,treated and cured promptly. They are very professional and knowledgable. I am extremely happy with the treatment they receive here. Thanks to Arlington my pets are healthy and happy and especially my cat who had liver problems is like nothing was ever wrong he is back to his fat happy cat self. I also board my pets here when i go away i feel very safe that they are here and my dog actually lovesss coming here he drags me inside i kid you not.
