I attended the wedding of my niece here at 3:30 in the afternoon, and what a stunning place to have…read morethe ceremony! In the middle of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the chapel had several weddings the same day, so we weren't allowed in the chapel waiting room (which is downstairs) until exactly 30 minutes prior to the wedding. If this happens to you, there is at least one place nearby that you can sit and have a drink while you wait. We entered from the ground floor, and once inside during our scheduled time, we were told to go upstairs. I did notice an elevator for anyone with issues with climbing stairs (i.e. wearing 4 inch heels or climbed Diamond Head this morning and can't face another set of stairs). There are probably a few other rooms tucked away for the wedding party, as my niece was hidden away somewhere prior to the ceremony. This is a pretty small chapel, occupancy about 50 guests or so, but for a destination wedding, it really is beautiful. I did some snooping to find out that for that hour or so rental of the chapel the cost is $2,500, but that also includes a rehearsal time slot and a wedding coordinator. I do know that my niece booked this chapel in January or February for the November date. After the ceremony, the guests all lined the exit down the back stairs (probably because the next wedding party was on the ground floor waiting for their time). The wedding party all walked down the stairs and off we went to another location for the reception.

For anyone who is planning a destination wedding and is choosing this venue purely from the pictures on the internet - don't be alarmed. This chapel is BETTER IN REAL LIFE!!! The day that my bridal part showed up for the wedding rehearsal (which is included in the price) everyone was literally "WOWED" by how beautiful the chapel was. So elegant, romantic, gorgeous, bright it makes your hear skip a beat looking at it. It was the perfect size for our small destination wedding of 50 people - because it's a small chapel it made the place look full with our guests. The chapel is air-conditioned, and there is a waiting room also air-conditioned for the bride and bridesmaids to wait in before the wedding. We didn't use extra flowers - I thought the flowers already included were fine. The wedding coordinator we dealt with was very professional and helpful, great service, good communication by email so absolutely no complaints there. I think we dealt with Stevie Lynne Kumia who I can personally recommend. If you have hesitations about the price - please please just spend the money and have it at the chapel. I initially looked at this place and thought it was too expensive, but my husband encouraged me to have our wedding at this beautiful chapel and I'm so glad we did because it was my dream wedding, all the guests to this day comment on this beautiful chapel and it made me the happiest bride for my dream Hawaiian wedding.

My mother in law hired Shelby and her team pretty early on our wedding planning. We met with Shelby and immediately knew we were in good hands. Planning our wedding was incredibly stressful because we had no idea what to do lol thankfully shelby started 5 months before our wedding day and she took a lot of the stress off of us. She definitely did more than she was supposed to... I think she knew how clueless we were it did not help that we didn't really have vision & didn't really care about the details. Her servies were worth every penny! We talked to 3 wedding planners in Jan 2022, but chose Nichole. She helped us (in California) plan our dream wedding in only 9 months! She is warm and kind, and answers any question without making you feel dumb (even if I felt like it was a dumb question to ask!). Nichole does not do many weddings per a year (1-2 weddings a month). Some wedding planners do 50 weddings a year! Those wedding planners don't have enough attention to give your wedding. Because Nichole limits the weddings she does, she can focus on you and your wedding, which we valued. She is super responsive to our communication. She also sent us a sweet welcome package when we signed the contract with her. Nichole was also not pushy and non-judgemental when it came to decisions. She provided us the info to make a decision and let us decide. From the start, Nichole set us up on Aisle Planner. This had a VERY helpful checklist of what we needed to get done by when, and a budget section to track spending. She worked with us to create an initial budget. I loved that she could help us with deciding how to much to spend on different parts of the wedding. For example, she sent us example photos for each price point for flowers. It was super helpful! Based on our budget, Nichole recommended us a few vendors that fit our style and budget. It saved us so much research time to get a pre-vetted list and all the vendors were amazing. She helped us set up times to chat with all the vendors and we quickly reserved all the vendors. Nichole is so knowledgeable and experienced with the vendors as well. She knows which linen rentals company on the island is the best and which caterer's staff would be willing to help move chairs/furniture (from ceremony to the reception). Nichole also shielded us from the drama that was happening behind the scenes at the venue. There was some back-and-forth with the caterer at the last minute and Nichole helped with that. She worked with me to generate a design concept for the wedding. I already picked out a venue that I wanted (Dillingham Ranch). Luckily Nichole had done several weddings there before, so she knew the layout. I told her where I wanted the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and she figured out the layout for the venue (which tables go where, photobooth, DJ table, etc). She knew exactly which rentals we needed, so I didn't have to worry about it. She gave us a nice PDF of all the rental options and price points. Nichole made sure to review all the contracts we were signing as well. She helped me with the design of the table places and they turned out so gorgeous! She also helped us figure out a timeline for the wedding day and book a hotel block. When we came to visit Oahu pre-wedding, Nichole joined us at the venue to look around and confirm our layout worked. She also helped us book the caterer tasting and accompanied us (the cake tasting was the best part!). We also wanted a welcome event and post-wedding brunch. Nichole recommended venues for the post-wedding brunch (which we planned ourselves). She helped us print our stationary for the wedding and set those up on the day of the wedding. We were also able to ship Nichole packages via Amazon that we needed (i.e. frames, etc). We were able to borrow some of Nichole's items for the wedding as well. The only minor lapse on our wedding day was that the makeup artist did not follow the schedule Nichole created. They took too long, so my mom's makeup wasn't done in time for getting ready photos. But that wasn't Nichole's fault, and she later mentioned if I had told her earlier, then we probably could have gotten a partial refund! Her assistants were very helpful during phototaking since they helped with my dress (so my bridemaids could go enjoy cocktail hour). Out of everyone I know who has had a wedding planner, we are the only couple who likes their wedding planner Everyone one else I know did not have a good experience with theirs. Keep in mind, even with a full-service wedding planner, you will still have to make a lot of decisions and do work yourself (i.e. invitations, managing RSVPs/wedding website, designing stationary, picking music/outfits, etc). But trust me when I say that you will not regret picking Nichole to help plan your wedding!
