I don't understand how this has a two star rating. My family and I frequent this facility. Appointments are readily available if you check in the mornin. Wait time usually isn't very long for a walk-in. The providers are all kind, friendly and knowledgeable. We've visited for ear infections, injuries and coughs. I highly recommend. read more

I brought my 86 year old sister in because she had a blockage in her intestines, was in a LOT of pain and her midsection was bloated and very hard to the touch. The waiting room was quite full with about 10 patients waiting to see a doctor. They had several doctors on call and we had about a 20 minute wait to be seen. The doctor, Vincent Zizza asked her many questions about her diet and recommended 2 different prescriptions for her...one for cleansing her intestines out and another to help keep her future stools soft. This place is horrible, uncaring, and incompetent. I was treated like a child (i'm 68) and Colleen Rusk was just plain rude.

Type of care near that of ER but knows when to move you out. Smooth transition and follow up as needed.

Staff was great at checking in. X-ray tech was great and woman who took vital signs. Dr Zizza was stand-off ish and didn't seem too keen on answering my questions. He was very matter of fact. He didn't explain any prescriptions to me. They were called in to pharmacy. Never said anything in regard to symptoms get worse then call your pcp for follow up or return to urgent care. He is not an internist but a urologist. They need someone in internal medicine to see the variety of patients that come in for various ailments. Won't return. read more

The good: The online reservation system is fantastic. We booked a time and then only had to wait a few minutes when we arrived. The front office staff and nurse were very kind and efficient. The bad: The PA I saw on 02/19 was arrogant, condescending, and extremely unprofessional. I came in with a fever and some other symptoms and I was concerned about possible exposure to toxic mold and tried to ask him about this. I mentioned my concern about possible exposure and he replied "is there a question in there?" I then clarified that I was worried I was exposed to toxic mold and he said "how should I know, I wasn't there" I clarified, again and asked him what I should do if I was exposed, and he said "I don't know, I'm not a toxicologist". I then asked him how I would go about finding this information out. He finally told me what is usually done in these situations, knowledge he apparently had all along despite not being a toxicologist. It's like he was willfully ignoring the context clues. It very much came off as the type of pretentious overcompensation that can occur when dealing with a fragile ego. Needless to say, super fun to deal with when you have a fever and are half delirious. Despite the pluses of this office, I would never go back for fear of seeing the same PA, as I would certainly never trust him in regards to my health. read more

I did not have high expectations for this but I was kind of desperate. I lucked out and it was not crowded. The intake staff was very personable. The nurse was efficient. There was an examination room so you are not out in a hallway like at the ER. The doctor was absolutely great. He listened to me and prescribed basic medication for the conditions I was describing and that he observed. This basically helped me get some treatment while trying to piece together care after an ER visit--from which I was discharged to the street with no medication or referrals. So thank you! Steal your money , watch out putting your credit card on file their billing department is idiotic and always over charges you. Rude staff. Predatory practices keeping credit card on file. Billing department inept. Check in staff rude and on phones talking in spanish rude as ever. Nurse and check in was rude and talking about a womans personal private issue and laughing. The red head and the spanish girl. Dont put your credit card on file. They dont know what they are doing. They all about the money and the care is poor. Wouldnt trust them to apply a bandaid. My son hasn't been feeling well so I took him to Urgent Care! The doctor was excellent and so was the tech Brenda! She was great as well. Dr. Z was very professional and helpful to us. I've been here a few times and I have been grateful and pleased with the experience every time. This place is super busy so while there is often a wait, they do a good job to get you in when they can and all of the services I required were administered properly and with care. Had a problem with my finger. Thought staff was ok not overly friendly. My family has been going there for urgent care since they opened. i let the unfriendliness go as I needed help. Be careful of the small print on what you sign there!! I have blue cross and was told it was a 50.00 co pay. Once I went and a month had passed I received a bill from Armistice blvd for 114.24. I contacted blue cross and was told to disreguard this as they had not received the check yet. Be careful how you pay this business. Unfortunatly I gave them my debit card. Apparantly they were not willing to wait for blue cross as they charged my checking account 114.24. I called blue cross and they called Armistice and was told they would reverse my Charge ONCE THEY RECEIVED MY CHECK,. I called and got a very nice lady in billing who said she would reverse my charges. That was done and I was recharged the 114.24!! So twice in 3 days they charged my card 114.24. I called spoke to Lori in billing who said it was an error and she would reverse again. (I have had something bounce not their problem). A boss from there called me we went over all. She explained instead when they don't get $$$ from health coverage they charge the only card they have....the one I put my co pay for the visit on!!! I've come here quite a lot over the years when I can't get in to see my PCP or when it just can't wait. Everything from pneumonia, hives, sinus infections, etc. I've seen probably 4 different doctors and some of the changing staff. I've always left with an answer or script for medications. They've even been kind enough to return calls or help with follow up complications. I really like their new online scheduling. I just went in today and was there all of maybe 40 minutes. A walk in emergency clinic is not a place you want to visit. But so if you have to get checked out after a car accident, you have to go and just keep your fingers crossed that you get good care. I am so pleased to say I did. From the receptionist checking me in, to the nurse assistants, x-ray tech and especially to Connie FNP, a 30 year plus nurse practitioner with experience working with trauma patients, who checked me out. Connie was very medically knowledgeable and had great skills in communicating with this patient. But here's something else I must say. When I got to Armistice Urgent Care there was no wait. Amazing. Checked in quickly, and brought in for treatment. Before coming here I went to a walk in emergency clinic on North Main Street. There were over 20 people waiting to be seen. I left and came straight to Armistice Urgent Care. No one, but me. That was a great decision. made that evening. read more

the one star is solely for the super sweet receptionist who was dealing with about 14 calls about covid testing, while also processing my insurance and being personable. thats about where the "niceness" of this visit ended. I was brought back into a room and seen fairly quickly. the triage nurse was nice enough. my problem lies in the second nurse to come in to take my blood pressure manually. now, mind you, I have a primary care physician I see on a very regular basis. the only reason I was in this clinic is because it was Sunday and telehealth doctors apparently can't prescribe the type of antibiotics I needed. anyway. the second nurse takes my blood pressure and tells me its high. yes I know, my pcp isn't concerned because he knows my medical history (including documented anxiety issues in medical settings.) I also mention that im having an insanely stressful day and she tells me that "thats not why it's high." um. okay. asks me if I had caffeine today and I say yes, literally all I've had is a coffee. she asks if I'm taking diet pills. I honestly side eyed her a little but let it go because I know it's her job to ask. I again reiterate that my pcp is aware of my BP issues. then. the doctor walks in. looks at my eye for 4 seconds and says that yep its pinkeye. OK great, he's going to give me a script for eye drops and I'll be on my way. before he leaves, he stops and looks at me to again tell me my BP is high. I say, AGAIN, that im aware and before I can say another word, he POKES MY STOMACH and tells me I need to lose weight and exercise. he suggests I come in twice a week to get my BP checked (no thanks, because AGAIN, I see my PCP every 3 months to monitor my long term health) and that they can put me on meds. I WAS LITERALLY HERE FOR EYE DROPS. I sit in stunned silence and he makes sure to say I need to lose weight one last time before he leaves the cubicle, as well as puts it into my discharge notes. it was humiliating for me and I left choking back tears. its medical professionals like this that cause people to hate doctors and have heightened anxiety to go to the doctors. i will absolutely never go back to this clinic if thats how they think people should be treated. what they didnt know, since im just passing through on a weekend, is that i have an eating disorder. but you know who does know? MY ACTUAL DOCTOR WHOM I VISIT REGULARLY. stick to why people are sitting in front of you instead of diagnosing every issue YOU think they have. read more

My son had a severe stomach bug, was very dehydrated, and in need of IV fluids. We arrived at your facility at approximately 8:15, and he was seen not too long after. The woman who worked at the front desk was extremely helpful and professional. That's where the kindness ended. The doctor, after examining him, told my son that it was too late to start an IV because the facility closes at 9 and it would take too long! He actually compared it to going to a restaurant and not getting a table because it was too late! He recommended we go to an ER. We did go to an ER. After several more hours of him vomiting and barely being able to keep his head up, paying another $100, he received an IV and was so much better. I am appalled that he was sent away after being admitted in to see the doctor. Do no harm? read more

Normally I don't write reviews but I felt like I needed to due to all the negative reviews listed here. First of all, the online scheduling is process is easy and they send you a text 20 minutes prior for you to come in. When you get to the urgent care, they call you and buzz you in. The receptionist... WOW. She is such a sweetheart no matter how busy she is and really makes you feel like she cares. You immediately go into a room and get treated by a nurse and you're told to wait for a little. I've been here several times now in the last month and a half time it was a VERY short wait. When you are seen by a Dr, they are professional and understanding and surprisingly caring for an urgent care practitioner. I was quite pleased. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. Came in here because my daughter had a fever and cough and her PCP said to take her to urgent care as the office was closed. First thing that happens is my daughter pukes on the floor. Obviously I wipe it up, but NOBODY CAME TO CLEAN IT OR EVEN CHECK WHERE THE VOMIT LANDED. Fine, not right away, I get it, you're busy. But not in the hour I waited there. So who knows how many other kids' vomit is on the chairs and floor and has never been sanitized? Then, there is no water and no bathrooms. What???? You have people coming in who are ill, and there is NO WAY to get water or pee? I get taken in to the exam room. Get checked by an MA. The doctor comes in, and it's clear he hasn't read any of the info from the MA. Asks me all the questions again but looks confused about everything I say. Listens to her heart, does not even look in her ears or eyes, and then says, "Well, it's really hard to tell the difference between a viral and bacterial infection." Um, thanks. That's why I'm here, paying you. He asked my daughter rapidfire questions about whether her ears, throat, or head hurt, and moved on without waiting to see what she says. She is three. I say I'm most concerned about the flu because I'm 8 months pregnant. Without saying ANYTHING, the doctor walks out and 5 min later a random lady comes in and says "Here's the flu test." I said I wanted to have more of a discussion w the doctor. He comes back in and says, "I thought you were concerned." Yes - and you are the DOCTOR so your job is to figure out which of my worries make sense! I say "Okay, fine." My daughter, because she is sick, proceeds to have an accident on the floor. Again, no one comes in to wipe it up. Of course I'm going to wipe it up with paper towels but there are no bleach wipes in the exam room, so there's a limit to how much I can really make it clean. The nurse comes in and yells at me for letting my daughter be barefoot on the floor, and says "we don't clean the floor every day." The nurse comes back with a flu test and proceeds to stick it up my daughters nose with almost no explanation. My daughter cries, and the nurse leaves without saying anything. Oh, and at no point did I see anybody wash their hands, or use hand sanitizer. I swear I am not a germophobe, but I am going home and throwing everything that touched that urgent care facility in into the wash. Do not go here. I will be grateful if I do not have the flu after going to that place. read more

I recently visited this clinic regarding an issue with my scalp and lymph nodes. The doctor I saw (who I had never seen before) didn't physically examine me and decided to treat my ailments "as if I had strep throat" without giving me a strep test. During my visit he seemed reluctant and skeptical over all. After leaving feeling dissatisfied I went to visit another doctor who properly examined and diagnosed me with folliculitis of the scalp. Armistice also gave me prednisone which the doctor who properly diagnosed me said was improperly prescribed for the type of infection that I have. After visiting this clinic again and again over the years I'm disappointed to say that I will not be going back. The wait to be seen has become longer and longer, and every time I go there is always a different receptionist with an unpleasant demeanor. I do not feel like a patient when I go here, but as a burden and inconvenience. read more

Seen dr. Hashem Akbar on Friday. Gave him my symptoms (all flu like) and he didn't test me for ANYTHING. He just called it an upper respiratory infection, gave me som prednisone and cough meds, then sent me on my way. Well all weekend, I've been getting worse, so I went to another urgent care, Lincoln Urgent Care today and they swabbed me. I was tested positive for the flu and because this half fast doctor didn't want to swab me, I missed the 72 hour mark to take tamiflu. Now I have to let it ride its course. DONT GO HERE!! read more

Came here on a Wednesday night at 7:30, was seen at about 8:45 (they close at 9). I overheard the nurse say to the doctor alright let's make these last patients quick. The nurse put the thermometer in my mouth for about 2 seconds and wrote it was 98.6 (funny...I was registering 100.9-101.5 at home). They told me I had a virus and there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to Friday when I was literally in tears, I went to Lincoln Urgent Care and she took one look at my throat and said oh yea that's strep throat. The Dr at Armistice looked at my throat and commented he couldn't see too far down, and never even gave me a rapid strep test. If you want real medical attention don't go here!! read more

I brought my 10yr old in immediately after a soccer injury, in severe pain, 100% sure it was fractured, and after some terrible xrays was told there was no fracture. I then took her to University Orthopedics, and she had a growth plate fracture of her wrist, which is something that really needs to be taken care of not to affect her future growth. I can more understand not seeing it on the xrays, since the views taken were useless, but from the tenderness of it and her reaction it should have been taken more seriously. read more

I had brought my child here due to not feeling well with a high temperature,cough etc...I literally had to drag him because that's how bad he felt and his primary care physician had no early openings and I wanted him seen asap. well I am in the medical profession and have 17+ experience so I know when something is wrong or brewing especially your own child...The registered nurse came in talked for 2min took his temp nice lady but never took his blood pressure etc everything you are suppose to do to make sure the patient is ok and nothing else is brewing...well than about 20min later Dr comes in and starts talking to him about sports? that's ok but he kept on instead of asking him or myself what was going on.....so I say a he has swollen glands n white puss coming from tonsils are u going to check he says ya first we talk then we exam ok so took 2seconds to look down his throat. So I happen to glance over at his identification tag and it read dr---- orthorpedic surgeon im like really??? Do they really have the same experience as an internal medical Dr or even a family dr? I think not but still insisted he had something brewing never gave a diagnosis? but prescribes steroids and antibiotics and says we mine as well treat it because if parents have to bring their children back 2 days later they tend to be very angry...well ya think???? let's just say I brought him to his primary dr instead and was very satisfied with the results and they immediately did a strep test!!!! read more

This only has one star because it's required to post. I wish there was an "Alert the police" button but no such luck. I don't often go to the doctor but I felt so awful this past week I decided to go. I got there at 10:45 Am on a Saturday and was not seen until 1pm. The "doctor" if you could even call him that was in the room for maybe 3 minutes,l and told me what I had was probably just the common cold- and with my symptoms it was just absurd. No voice, coughing, gunk In my lungs and sore throat etc. didn't do any tests, used a mechanics flash light to briefly glance at my throat and then pulled up the back of my shirt to test me for scoliosis?!?! . He told me he would proscribe me cough syrup and an inhaler for my shortness of breath. I looked at him and said I don't have shortness of breath nor did I mention it.. And then looked at my prescriptions and saw that they didn't even have my name on them. It was for some one named Margaret which happens to be my middle name and I told the nurse so and she started yelling at me and said I should have told the receptionist. I had handed my ID to the receptionist so I figured it was pretty self explanatory and she didn't hand me any paper work to confirm the write info. The nurse then told me that because I have Margaret in my name the pharmacy will still give me the medication and I asked her on what planet?! At that point I picked my stuff up and started walking out. The nurse tried to follow me but I turned around and told her to "GET AWAY FROM ME" and ran out sobbing.
