Even though he was at my home for hours, he charged me a more than fair price and he completely fixed my problems. He has also worked with me remotely, which is invaluable because I have such a busy schedule. When I began the search for a new computer, he also helped me with that, even though he absolutely did not have to do so. The average person knows very little about computer speed, size, etc., and I'm that average person. He didn't hesitate to help. Bill was like a high school boyfriend...in a pleasant and dependable way, not in the cheat-on-you-with-your-best-friend-the-night-before-prom kind of way. He was friendly, always called exactly (EXACTLY) when he said he would, and didn't play games with my heart/computer. I'd been putting off getting my slower-than-molasses computer repaired for MONTHS after finding out that Best Buy charges roughly $200 just to LOOK at your computer before they even get into the cost of actually fixing it. Downtrodden and quasi-computerless, I'd assumed I was left to a life sans modern online conveniences, the pariah of all my 24/7 social networking friends. But alas, Bill to the rescue. Don't be fooled by info on the interwebs - Google will claim that he works in the shopping center by the midtown Trader Joes, but when I called (also awesome to note: the phone number on the Armstrong Computing website is his personal cell. Yay!) he let me know that he actually works remotely and doesn't have an office location. His lack of office works out for the best, however, because not only did he come by my place at 7pm to pick my laptop up, he also drove right back the next morning (Yes, he'd fixed it by THE NEXT MORNING!!!) at 7am to drop it off again before I had to leave for work because he was going out of town and didn't want me to have to wait for his return. On top of the convenience, he also offered a new customer discount of $25, so what was normally a $99 service (which is still cheaper than most places around town) only cost me $74. And on top of THAT, he chipped in some extra memory from an identical laptop he happened to have lying around. Were I not so chronically poor, I would have offered to give the $25 discount back - the experience was THAT GOOD. 'Twas a delight all around and my computer works stupendously. Team Bill! read more
