I was very shocked to read the review from Bob regarding Travis and Armstrongs Auto Sales. I have been doing business with travis for the past 15 years here in the valley and have had nothing but outstanding service and professionalism. Between my business associates, family and friends, we have had at least 30 personal and company vehicles tinted. Not to mention remote starts and other related things. Just recently my daughter bought a car from Travis's dealership and it was the best car buying experiance ever. She didnt have any established credit, but he found her a great car that she could afford on her own. I would NEVER recommend Armstrong's Took my 2016 car to have windows tinted left my car there until it was ready. Then I get a phone call that my car had been wrecked/ air bag had deployed the person that Travis let drive my car had no insurance which Travis knew because that was his employee. Would never trust them with a vehicle. I wouldn't give them 1 star but it wouldn't let me post it unless I hit a star. read more

People please know what you are doing and do your research. Check the KBB and check the NADA values .I have a review on their facebook page with my sons story. I wish my son would have trusted his gut at the end of that day. You know Travis and his team may be great to some they may give others a car loan when others won't. They may bend over backwards to help someone. People need second and third chances life is hard.They do keep being chosen for the credit acceptance corporation for lots of sales. But in reality credit acceptance finances at 22% interest rate and are typically the only place that will approve these over inflated car prices. Trust me we have tried to fix my sons nightmare since October and are just now getting it straight. But still out $3500. My sons car was valued at $7700 he paid $10,900 with a 22% when in fact he had excellent credit at Dupont and a 5% interest rate. See though Dupont won't finance a car that much overpriced. Being young and naïve and trusting as he is only 19. He hasn't had many years of experience with the real world. I feel as if he was taken advantage of. I have contacted the attorney general, DMV board, and a attorney. Honestly there is not a law about the car being 40% overpriced there is a law for cars being 50% over priced. Many shady dealerships manage to stay just under this. I'm not here to bash the business I hope they flourish. I hope they flourish in honesty, integrity and a genuine heart. I hope they step aside from sales and put themselves in the customers shoes. It was not the case in my son's experience. I know that car dealerships are for people to make money it's part of the business. I feel that some times they just take advantage of who they can. It's been a nightmare and a headache these last five months but in reality my son learned a lesson .At the end of the day you have to ask yourself did you grow from it? The answer is yes. Armstrong's Auto sold to me a 2006 Town & Country Touring in June of 2014. I haven't had it a full month and have had nothing but trouble with it. After he had the battery changed to a refurbished one, and I drove it home. On the morning of July 4th when I went to start the car so that I see my family it did not start --- for the third time. The van just sits in my garage -- dead. The following is a letter that I finally wrote to Travis Armstrong, Owner/Manager personally on his website in the comments section. "Dear Travis: My 2006 Town & Country Touring once again, did not start. I had a trip planned to see my family for the holiday. On the morning of the 4th of July, I went to start the car. Nothing... only the needles in the front panel going around. No sound, no crank, nothing. I have not had the car two weeks, and I have had trouble after trouble. I did not purchase my car "As Is", but as you said to me at the point of signing, I would have a 30-day, but then you sold me a 6 month warranty. I am very disappointed in you... first as a human being, secondly as a salesperson. You exercise your rights as a salesperson to be able to sell used cars that have problems. It seems that is how you make your money... off of others misfortune. I fully trusted your words when I asked you before signing if there was anything that I should know about the car, and you reassured me that you drove this car a lot and never had a problem with it. Based on your words, I bought the car. Also, after I started having problems with the car, I brought it to you immediately. Yes, I had to leave the car doors open to wash and shampoo the insides out three times, not three days in a row, but allowing the car to dry and air out each time I shampooed it. It took me hours each time to shampoo the inside to get the God-awful smell out, that I mentioned to you. Your response was, you cannot afford to get a good shampooer. But I dealt with that. Also, the radio went dead. You instructed me to take it to Advance Auto to have the car diagnosed. I brought back to you the test results which indicated a weak battery and if the battery was changed, and the problem persisted, it would show that it would be the alternator. I asked you if it were the battery or the alternator, and you said you would replace them. After you had another "refurbished" batter installed in the car, I took it home and did not use the car for two days. But when I left a note in your office with one of the salesmen, asking for the car to be checked for other things that I noticed, such as a squeaking noise that I hear perhaps coming from the wheel area, i.e., bearings or something else, and to take it up to your other dealership to have the battery replaced and to look into replacing the DVD player, you called and left me a message on my phone that you did all you can (replaced the battery), and that you worked with me as far as the down payment, which I have one payment of $500 to make. Also, in my contract, you said that you would purchase the cowling under the windshield wipers, but you have not done that yet, that you have to order it. How long does it take to get, at least, a used one. You continued to say in your message that when someone purchases a used vehicle, you get what you buy. Another words... I just threw $10,000 down the drain on your trust. Your advertisements brag about "quality used vehicles". This is what drew me to you. If you are not going to sell quality vehicles, you should at least be honest and say, like Toyota, ALL USED CARS SOLD AS IS. When started it up on the morning of the 4th of JuIy to go to see my family...nothing. I am glad I did not drive 300 miles away when it happened. I wonder how you would feel if you were treated in such a way? I wonder how you sleep. I was going to refer others to you, but in good conscience, and with my bad experience, and as a very unsatisfied customer, I will never give a good word, because you have not shown me that you run a good, and honest car dealership. Travis, I can only imagine what you are thinking about me, and I am sure it is not positive, but wish I would just go away. But one thing you will never say about me... I never cussed, screamed, or acted indecently or disrespectfully to you or any of your family or employees. It accomplishes nothing good. And you would surely have reason to reject my attempts to get a fair trade for the money that I spent on your vehicle. If you do not want people coming back to you complaining about your cars, then you should make sure that you live up to your word and sell quality vehicles. You should treat people the way you want to be treated... honestly and fairly. And as a dealership that sells quality vehicles, you will feel good each time you go home at the end of the day." Travis is a nice guy, quick on his toes and whitty, but when it came to his workmanship it suffered severely. Upon taking my car to his to have it tinted he assured me that there is a lifetime warranty on any tint installed by him. He assured me he had been doing it for years and knew exactly what he was doing. I have seen a few cars in the past that he has tinted and even heard pretty good things about his work. I dropped my car off and when I went to pick it up there was many many bubbles and even stuff on rear glass of car under the tint. He realized after I pointed it out and was asking about it upon inspection. He took the tint off and cleaned the window again and put another piece of tint on it while I waited. It looked like the window was not cleaned at all before he originally installed it. Every window had numerous tiny dirt bubbles but he assured me that once the heat got ahold of them they would go away. Believing the "expert" I paid him and left. After a few hot days none of the bubbles went away and when I called him about it he told me to bring the car back to him and he would see what he could do. I dropped the car off and went to pick it up that night and he did not change or alter any of the tint. When I called him about it the next day he told me that there wasnt anything he could do. I was screwed out of $200 and have a pretty bad tint job. So now I am looking for a professional shop that will stand by their work and turn something respectable out. That is how I found Yelp. Save your money and dont take your car to Travis or purchase a car from his shady car lot. He does not stand by his word. read more
