I was a mess when I walked in and didn't even know where to begin to talk about what I needed. I also lived a life of abuse in every way you can imagine. I spoke to therapists at The Women's Center at no cost. I was literally dirt poor. When I got back on my feet a little and saved up enough money, I'd give some back to them so I can pay it forward to someone else who may have been in my situation. My life is a complete 180 now. A part of that turnaround was due to the help I received from them. Now, I think of The Women's Center as my friends. They do amazing work, help so many lives and truly stretch every dollar they receive toward the betterment of the community.

Was given incorrect information numerous times by staff. No one there seems to be on the same page.. The people that prepared my husband did an amazing job of making him look so good and peaceful. Everyone who came to the viewing said the same thing. I know that the ceremony at the cemetery will be just as nice. All of the employees were so kind, caring and helpful at all times. No matter how many times I called to ask questions they always had answers. I would highly recommend this funeral home to anyone who wants to have the best quality funeral or cremation for their loved one. New Hope Center for Grief Support for me, became a very good source for much added grief due to the…read moreunethical business practices of the executive director and his staff. A donation of $500 took (5) attempts to get a receipt for tax purposes. Pathetic. My E-mail to him expressing my disappointment in the excessive effort it was taking to rectify my simple request was finally concluded and as far as I was concerned, the incident was closed with no malice. At a later date my presence was requested for a meeting with the New Hope Executive Director and a counselor from PCS counseling. I assumed this meeting was to encourage my involvement in the New Hope counseling process which had been encouraged by the PCS Counselor who was also attending the meeting. To my dismay, the meeting was a blind siding event with the PCS counselor attending as a witness, so the New Hope Executive Director could express to me his dissatisfaction with my E-mail to him regarding his inability to do his job or supervise his staff. The most disturbing part of this situation, was the PCS counselor had no business involving himself in a business or clerical issue with New Hope. As I struggle to deal with my wife's Suicide, I certainly did not need getting blind sided and getting patronized in a meeting by the executive director that wasn't capable of doing his job, with a PCS counselor as a witness. How disgusting. For the record, I gave the board of directors of New Hope the courtesy of a letter explaining all of the above. It fell on deaf ears. Should I be surprised!!

The loss of a child is unbearable and to loose one by suicide is different level . I have found Matt and RIch to be very authentic and want nothing more but to help those of us grieving the loss of loved ones. I look forward to attending the 8 week workshop and I feel confident that it will help. I Highly recommend New Hope and find it extremely beneficial to spend time with people who can actually relate to this type of .

Unfortunately, after many…read moremonths of fighting multiple health issues, my beloved grandmother passed away in mid-February. She was the matriarch of our small family and helped raised me in her home so it's really been like losing a parent for me. So, when it came time to make preparations it was HARD. Like, really really hard. Like, I almost couldn't walk into the building hard. But we knew, based on the care Turowski Funeral Home showed us several years ago when my grandfather passed, that we were in good hands. They showed us remarkable care from the moment we called. There are so many things to go through when a loved one dies and it's kind of incredible that people are expected to go through all of it while in the throes of grief. Death certificates, obituaries, services, visitation, flowers, coffins and vaults. It's horrible. Some people find it therapeutic but not us! We were wrecks. However, they made the process very smooth and as painless as possible. Step by step they walked us through, called the priest at my grandmother's church to come discuss the service with us, and worked with us to find the perfect coffin in stock since there's a supply chain shortage. Because of the pandemic we decided not to do a formal visitation at the funeral home, instead doing what we did when my grandfather passed, a short visitation before mass right at the church. However, the family was able to come to the funeral home the day before the service to have time to ourselves and I am so grateful for it. They made her look beautiful and I'm thankful to have that healthy looking image of her vs. how ill she was when we said our goodbyes in the hospital. I have tears in my eyes writing this because of how grateful I am for how kindly they treated us. I'm the writer in my family so I was expected to write the obituary but I was in no condition at the time. So they kindly offered to put something simple together and told me that if we send something to them down the line they can replace it. Since it lives on in the internet they assured me it's an easy switch and I'm glad I can give her the proper memorial down the line when I feel stronger. The service was beautiful. They referred us to a florist (separate review forthcoming) and they did an incredible job. It was the moment I'd be dreading my entire life but everything they did made it a lot easier than I expected and I'm thankful for that.

In the beginning, everything felt okay, but the shift was immediate and obvious the second my sister left their viewing room. Any sense of care disappeared. What followed felt cold, dismissive, and driven entirely by money. A few weeks after her death, they reached out pretending to "check in." Two days later, they contacted me again--this time asking me to leave a Google review because they were "trying to get their reviews up." They also reached out to other members of my family with the same request. Think about that for a second. A grieving family, and their focus is marketing. It gets worse. I also found that they posted a video of my sister in her casket on their page after we explicitly told them not to. That is beyond unprofessional. It is a complete violation of trust and basic human respect. There is no justification for that decision. Also, on the day of the burial which occurred at the same location, when we returned immediately to collect flowers, we were met with rudeness and told to "go get everything" because they had already moved it to a garage. No empathy. No patience. No understanding of what a family is going through in that moment. This place does not treat people like human beings. It treats them like transactions. I wouldn't trust them with any more of my loved ones. By the way, they're still texting my other sister asking for Google reviews .....

Losing a pet is one of the hardest losses. A pet cannot tell you when they're sick or how they're…read morefeeling, you have to make an educated guess and pray you've made the proper decision. But in all that, Martensons Family Pet Services made sure my babies were cared for uniquely and with genuine care. This review has been a long time coming. Dealing with the loss of a pet is difficult. I've had the unfortunate pleasure of using Martensons Family Pet Services twice in 3 years. Most recently, this past November our baby, Phineas, had to make his walk across the rainbow bridge. My husband and I were a wreck. Struggling with this decision we knew we needed to make, living through the experience of his passing, and trying not go insane with grief was and is a battle i struggle with still. But, Donnie... Donnie was something else. He cared for my little man with immense care and walked us through the process with such kindness and empathy. Donnie had told us that he, too, understood our heartbreak as he was grieving the loss of his own pet within that last month. Donnie understood exactly where we were mentally and did everything he could to provide us with the least amount of stress and worry. Donnie took it upon himself to even bring my baby back home to me the same day. We are forever grateful for that. I will miss Phineas for the rest of my life.
