I am not talking just your normal cleanings either. I have had a root canal, 4 crowns, and many other procedures done. After all that I would highly recommend Dr. Seth Gladson and his staff! The staff is nothing but courteous & friendly. Dr. Gladson does great work at a reasonable cost. He doesn't recommend getting things fixed that don't need fixing. The stuff is very aware of your insurance and do a great job of explaining cost and when you might have to start paying out of pocket for procedures. MY rating BEST. read more

Avoid this place! After confirming that they took my insurance, tried to schedule just a simple cleaning. At the appointment all they did was take a bunch or xrays and pictures, tell me how bad my teeth were and gave me an expensive "care plan". I determined then that I wouldn't be going back. I was contacted months later saying i had an outstanding balance for all the xrays they took, because they were not in my insurance companys network. When i called they told me its my responsibility to know where my insurance works. So long story short, they lied about taking my insurance, never cleaned my teeth, and me the customer had to pay for their deceiving tactics. I reccomend JL dental, just up the road read more

Ugh, going to the dentist is not exactly my cup of tea. However Arnold dental has turned that around for me. From the friendly and welcoming staff at the front door to the cheerful hygienist (Stephanie T) who first took the time to listen to my concerns before beginning any treatment. Dr. Peggy was so sweet in her manner. I truly felt more like a friend than a patient. Kudos to the entire staff for their knowledge, professionalism and excellent "chair side" manner. I'm including my recent review of Dr. Benjamin Hite because he was the DDS that actually treated me while he was at this practice. Copied from my review on dentistdig.com on 9/5/2017: "Root canal gone amok by Rootcanalamok, Sep. 05, 2017 One of my very first root canals went amok! It's been giving me pain since day 1 post op. So having explained this to Dr (Benjamin) Hite and him telling me it's my level of dental sensitivity, I agreed to root canal #2. That went fine. But one of those teeth have been nothing but pain since then! Many dental visits later and 2 other specialists later, several Rx's for inflammation and infection, plus out of pocket expenses .... still pain. So now (9/5/17) I'm actually sitting in the office of Arnold Dental Center where this all started. Now seeing a total stranger who previously told me my wisdom teeth were bad (when I came back in for a followup visit). I think that was a poor excuse of saying I really don't see an issue don't have a clue!. I was referred to Endodontics of Arnold by another DDS. They said it's the tooth margin so it's the crown that's bad. I only wish Dr Hite would have heard me those multiple times I said " when I run my tongue over the tooth it hurts!." Update, post visit today at Arnold Dental Center, this new DDS, Seth Galdson, just said he has no clue what the problem is & is referring me to a periodontist. And I now have major gingivitis per Dr Gladson. I'm totally FUBAR'd. In my opinion someone (Dr Hite) owes me dental work!" I chose Arnold Dental Center because Dr Chandra came highly recommended to me by several people. My first visit was with Dr Chandra on a Wed., even though she normally was only in office on Friday's, she was that Wednesday. I left feeling like I made a good choice. The next appointment was with Dr. Benjamin Hite, for my very first root canal. Oh boy, had I actually understood he wasn't a true endodontist, I would not have let him do the root canals. I've experienced nothing but pain and aggravation since them. I've been back several times for follow up evaluations but he could not find any issue with his work (root canals). Yet when I touch those teeth, I feel pain and discomfort. So much so that I don't chew on the left side anymore. So after a few reevaluations later he notices a root still in one of my teeth and opens one of my new crown and redoes the root canal. Now one tooth is better although the other still hurts. The prognosis is now that my bite is off. So he grinds down the crown more and recommends I go see his college buddy for evaluation. This DDS spends 2 maybe 3 minutes looking at my teeth, charges me $95 and doesn't even follow through with Dr. Hite! Matter of fact neither DDS followed up with each other. All he told me was that my bite was off. Now back to Arnold Dental Center to adjust my bite again, only to find out that Dr Benjamin Hite is no longer with their practice and Dr. Chandra's brother-in-law, Dr Seth Gladson is the DDS in charge. Dr. Benjamin Hite moved his practice to IL where he lives. I was subsequently evaluated by Dr. Seth Gladson. He adjusted my bite by sanding down my new crown. And he suggested I have my wisdom teeth pulled! He suggested that was most likely the problem. (Mind you no one else even hinted to this treatment.) So weeks pass and I call to inform him that it still hurts. I was told to go find an endodontist, Dr Seth Gladon didn't want to see me at all. No referral to be given to me or even offered. I went to 2 different DDS for opinions. Both said there were issues with the work done by Dr. Benjamin Hite. One suggested both root canals were bad, however the Endodontist (of Arnold) highly suggested that the tooth margin was bad and a new crown would be required. This evaluation was sent to Arnold Dental Center. Today was my follow up visit to Arnold Dental Center following the endodontist evaluation. My teeth still hurt and I was told to go see a periodontist. Dr. Seth Gladson doesn't think the recommendation of the specialist at Endodontist of Arnold is correct. He will not replace the crown. In all fairness, Dr Benjamin Hite did reimburse my dental insurance the benefits paid on the root canal, $320. (Because he had no clue what the problem was.) Now that I know it's the crown, I think he owes me a new one that fits. NO charge either! I would give a 5 star rating to the office and other personnel at this practice. I would not recommend Arnold Dental Center for treatment though. In my opinion someone (Dr Hite or the Arnold Dental Center practice and preferably Dr. Chandra) owes me dental work! It appears that she is the only DDS there who is highly recommended. And Dr Seth Gladson just seems to not have the time, patience or concern to correct the practices mistakes. read more

This visit Customer Service could have been better handled-Made appointment for denture crack repair on Tuesday was to be back the following day was told I would get a call when repaired denture arrived back. I did not get a call on Wednesday I called to follow up Thursday morning receptionist told me it was not back but it normally takes two days (fourth repair and it is a one day procedure-denture relines are even just a day). I had not received a call at 2:00 p.m.; so, I again called to follow up. First person knew nothing and said she would find out. Received a call back and initially told there was no technician or dentist in the office and there was no openings until Monday. I said I need my denture I will just come in and get it-I was told no a technician or dentist had to be there. I said this procedure was to have been done on Wednesday and now you want me to wait until Monday. I said that was not acceptable and I would just come in Friday morning and wait. Individual said would see what she could do. Received a call back and was told the technician would see me at 9:00 a.m. Friday. The Friday visit lasted no more than 2 minutes maybe a bit shorted. Technician called but me in a exam chair told my denture out of the packaging went somewhere to rinse it brought it back I put it in my mouth and said it is fine-technician said she would check with the dentist to see if she needed to see me. Technician returned and said no let me show you out. She did start to apologize for my experience but really then office manager or a dentist should have stepped up. Just thought this situation could be used as a learning tool-I have always been happy in the past. But really 7 days without a top denture was what was initially purposed when one day was promised. It only took 2 minutes if that to be given my denture and dentist did not have to see me. Giving 5 stars because this was not normal. read more

Awesome doctors and staff! I wouldn't trust my teeth or my families to anyone else! They're great with my kids. I had a root canal with absolutely no pain. No need to spend extra money at a specialist with Dr. Hite. Also currently enjoying straightening my teeth with Invisalign. My husband was able to get his wisdom teeth pulled with no complications and was back at work the next day. All around great office! They can do it all! read more

I usually never write reviews but I feel I need to in this case. I have been here several times in the past two years and it has been as pleasant of an experience as visiting the dentist can be. The staff is very friendly and they are good at what they do. They also have very good lines of credit to help with payment, which at times has come in very handy for me and my family. Even though my credit has not been the best I was still approved! Now I that I have credit with them I no longer have to dread how I am going to pay for any work we may need, its very convenient. I have lived in this area for about 15 years now and if you live anywhere near this office you should use them for your dental needs, you will not find a more affordable and better equipped dental office anywhere around here! read more

My wife and I have scheduled a total of 4 appointments with them from July through August. All 4 appointments where either rescheduled or cancelled. At first we thought it was a one off occurrence. When we questioned it the second time we were told they don't guarantee schedules and don't usually schedule more than 2 weeks in advance. What dental office doesn't routinely schedule 6 months in advance or more? The final straw was when we showed up for an appointment, which was confirmed by there automated system, that they claimed was cancelled. We had the text as proof and was told it was still our mistake. In the first appointment they found a bacterial abscess in 1 tooth we were told to follow up with a Endodontist ASAP and referred. No pain medication or antibiotic was prescribed. We had to wait over a weekend before seeing the endodontist and in that time the abscess grew and became inflamed. Repeated calls to their emergency line where ignored until 5pm on Saturday. At that time only pain medication was prescribed we had to demand the antibiotic. We demanded our medical records so that we could switch to a new dentist and they refused to give them to us. This is a violation of HIPAA. tl:dr - They rescheduled every appointment, failed at treating an abscess, and violated HIPAA by refusing to give us our records. read more

I'm new to the area and tried to make my son a new patient appointment for a cleaning and exam. When I requested no x-rays, the scheduling coordinator told me X-rays are standard for new patients. I explained that my family is not prone to cavities or dental problems. At 35, I've never had a cavity, my husband has only had two small ones, and none of my children have ever had any, so I really believe X-rays to be unnecessary for my 9 year old. I also told her my entire family gets exams and our teeth cleaned every six months. I was told I'm "not a good fit" and she said she wished me luck. Wow! We would have been the easiest patients EVER! Ask our old dentist. So, moral of the story, I guess unless you're going to submit to unnecessary procedures and be a big contributor to this office's bank account, don't call and waste their time! read more

I recently came here to get advice on a cracked tooth. The dentist that I saw previously was gone. There was completely new staff & new dentists. They also can do root canals, which they couldn't do previously. The dentist here said that I needed 1 root canal & 1 crown (with a possibility of a root canal & crown on the cracked tooth) & that I had an infection as shown by the shadowing on my X-ray. Total cost with possible second root canal & crown was about $5000. I don't even have dental insurance! Much to my horror, & being trained in aseptic technique. When the dental assistant put on a temporary filler on my cracked tooth, he didn't have me wash my mouth out with mouthwash to clean out any debris. I also think he didn't clean out any debris manually. Maybe I am ignorant on dental procedures, but I wouldn't want a possible infection growing in/on my cracked tooth. The second opinion said that I only needed a filling with a possible root canal. Total cost without the root canal was about $400. Nevertheless, I am going with the second opinion & going to that dentist from now on. read more

This place is awesome. The dentists and team members are top notch! They really care about you and will do whatever they can to help. Dr. Hite is a very talented dentist who is thorough and gentle. I was nervous about getting a root canal done for the first time; and to my satisfaction and surprise, the experience was very comfortable. The crown he placed on my tooth was top quality and has never given me any issues. I hava also seen Dr. Chandra there as well and she is also great. She took care of my fillings for me and is also a very talented, thorough dentist. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want this type of care. One of the most corrupt dental health care facilities I have ever been too. Went in for a cleaning which is 100% covered by my dental insurance and ended up receiving a additional bill for over 220.00 for non covered expences that I did not ask for nor did they even tell me that they were doing them. Also they said I had 4 cavities. I went to my old dentist that did not take my insurance for a second opinion. No cavities and his dental costs were half as much as Arnold Dental Center read more

I brought the first two pages of the patient form to the administrative person sitting at the counter. She wanted me to sign the next page. I read to her the line on the form indicating I DID NOT have to sign that page. She then wanted my DL & insurance card. Then she proceeded to call the insurance company (Delta Dental...have they never dealt with Delta Dental before??) and read a long list of procedures to the CS person to see if they covered these items. This was the first time I had ever walked into their office and I was a little confused as to why she needed to know if they covered a crown replacement considering this woman had no idea whether or not I have a crown. She also questioned me about my zip code since she wasn't familiar with this zip code. So, anyone that needs to know all the zip codes in STL, feel free to call this woman because she seems to think she is an expert (?) Meanwhile, she held onto my DL and insurance card because they needed to be scanned into their system and I guess this couldn't happen until she verified every last detail of my insurance coverage. Once she ended the phone call, she finally scanned my cards and handed them back to me. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that she made no effort to lower her voice when she read my SSN to the person on the other end of the phone. If any of you are curious, the form she seemed to think I need to sign was a form about HIPPA. Does anyone see the irony in all of this? I received a card through the mail about this dental office so I'm guessing they are trying to expand their business. So, are the dentists telling the gatekeeper to see how much they can soak each patient/dental insurance company? Or do they just not realize she lacks customer service skills. read more

I recently wrote a favorable comment, but that was based on my interaction with Dental Assistants Danielle & Jenn. Dr Chandra is another story! Since Day 1 I have had problems with my "immediate" or temporary denture staying in place, even after 2 soft liners, 1 hard liner & numerous trial with various denture adhesives. Danielle was very kind & told me several times that by getting my dentures from them & not "the $99. places" I could come in as often as necessary to have the dentures adjusted but no one ever explained to me that soft liners (which I thought were called "soft alignments"...no one ever corrected me, but it makes more sense knowing the actual name of the procedure) were different than any other type of adjustment. Dr. Chandra is now refusing to do anymore to help make these dentures fit unless I pay $200. for a soft liner that by her own admission pulls away from the denture in a matter a very few weeks or less. She also wants me to pay approximately $2000. for root canals & crowns for 2 teeth that could/should have been extracted with the other 14 teeth, and is trying to explain this by saying I was too anxious, so they didn't want to overwhelm me by giving me all the information prior to the surgery. As for her suggestion that I may want to go somewhere else...message received! read more
