Very disappointed that the annual contract now only allows two gutter cleanings per year and the other two visits must be "emergency" only which does not include full gutters and apparently incurs additional charges. Well I got the roof of my barn replaced this spring and finally today got my award winning 1958 antique boat on the water and found that when they removed some of the plywood sheets that had rotten they never gave me a chance to cover the boat and when they pulled those sheets off dropped bits of wood and old tar and shingles all over the boat and more importantly onto my brand new vinyl custom cushions. Can't get the tar off - so let's see I spent $13,000 for a roof job that ruined my cushions. I wouldn't let them replace the roof on my dog house. read more

Neighbor hired them to do a roof tile replacement. They trampled over the plants in my garden and left garbage strewn all over my yard. Covered over my front walk in tarps, without asking, so that I couldn't use the stairs to leave my house. Extremely unprofessional, I hope I never encounter them again. read more

Update: They came by for the gutter inspection, but without asking us, they put an advertisement on our front yard. If they asked, I would have appreciated it. It's disrespectful and tacky to leave an advertisement on our yard without asking. Got my roof done by them back in December 2023. I wanted to like them but they took off our outdoor lights and we lost some from the process and they left so much material and debris from the roof replacement behind. The workers didn't asked us where they can park and they parked on our grass. On top of this, the workers were smoking nearby our home- I have severe allergies and this was not okay. I am still picking up roofing materials around our property. I would not recommend them at all. read more

We had a really good experience with Arocon. Our first interaction with them came after I purchased a Groupon for a roof tune-up. Jason came out to complete the task and was highly knowledgeable and personable. When it came time for a new roof, Arocon was on our list for quotes. Jason came back out and gave us an estimate for a roof replacement and siding. All in, it was priced reasonably and the timeline worked for us, even during the pandemic. So, we went with Arocon to get the job done. The roof was completed on a Saturday afternoon and the siding was done a separate day shortly thereafter. I have been using Arocon for many years and and always work with Eric Consuegra. He is honest and professional has has integrity. He is someone my Dad would approve of and he questioned every worker I hired years ago so I wouldn't be taken advantage of. In my townhouse they completed the siding, roof, bathroom, flood damage and I have been completely satisfied. The workers from Arocon are friendly and professional and make extra effort, pay attention to detail and strive for excellence. I recently moved to a new home and needed gutters, and windows. I did not hesitate to call Eric, Both were completed in a timely manner and exceeded my expectations. A couple of weeks ago I was having an issue with my roof. Eric determined it should be replaced and as always in a timely manner Arocon workers installed my beautiful new roof. The workers protected my property and spent extra time making sure my yard and driveway were cleaned and and left better than they found it. called AROCON to come inspect a leak on my Mom's roof. The roof is under warranty, they performed the job 3years ago. Their response time was fast, they got here the next day. After reviewing the roof they found out that the leak was caused by the chimney (which has been closed for many years). The crew took pictures of it and provided me with details and possible solutions. They recommended a chimney co. they trust. Since the chimney was something they did not touch when adding the new bitumen roof it was not their fault if leaked. Crew was very helpful and friendly. I trust AROCON. Called chimney co and they patched the chimney. AROCON did not charge me for visit. read more

I contacted this company based on a recommendation from someone, they told me they would clean the gutters , check for loose gutters and clean up afterwards, my gutters had a lot of mud from the previous rain , to moved the deck furniture so it would not be in the way , they blew the debris instead of taking a bag and cleaning it out , mud , debris was all over the deck , siding and the furniture, they took the hose and rinsed it down , I got here as they were done, I called to complain and the person on the phone said they don't cover with tarps, they said cleaning was a courtesy, I've never had this problem in the past , I was totally angry and had to clean it myself. read more

About 5 or 6 years ago, I contracted Arocon Roofing to install a new white roof on my restaurant building. After the initial installation, within a year or so there were a few minor leaks near the 2nd HVAC unit from the Ritchie Highway side of the building. When we had long periods of rain, (for 5 hours or longer), there always seemed to be little leaks. I complained about the leaks, so your company sent somebody out to check on it. Your representative made an inspection, and said that everything was fine. As time went on, however, the leaks got worse, and occurred more frequently. Ever since then, we have had at least 5 leaks per year, for a few years in a row. So I complained for a second time, about 3 years ago, about the leaks, and you guys sent over another person to check out the issue. Again, your rep could not find or see any issues. Last year was the absolute worst with the leaks. Every time we had heavy rainfall longer than 2 hours, the roof had serious leaks. So last winter, I called you guys once again, and you guys sent another person to check out the issue.The guy simply said the leaks might be coming from the HVAC units. He also found out that 2 HVAC units on the roof did not have any roofing material put underneath them; every other unit, and every other part of the roof had roofing material underneath except for those 2 HVAC units. He acknowledged that this was your company's fault, then promised to send somebody back to put the roofing material underneath those 2 HVAC units. Nobody ever showed up to finish this work. So on March 1, 2019, I finally decided to contract another reputable roofing company, Turner Roofing, to repair this issue. They did a thorough examination of the roof, and worked for over 5 hours to identify the sources of the leaks. I attached their invoice so you can see exactly what they repaired, including the specific pictures of the areas that they worked on. Ever since Turner finished their work, it has rained severly several times, and so far, we have had no problems with any leaks. The reason I am contacting you now instead of right after the repair is because I wanted to see whether the repair fixed the leaking issue or not. Again, like I mentioned, so far we have had no leak issues. I would like for your company to foot the bill for the work Turner Roofing has done. It is not much compared to what I went through with the leaks for 5 years, but it is the least your company can do for me. Response from Eric Consuegra: Thanks for your email. I'm fully aware of the timeline and efforts made by AROCON to resolve your leak above the dining area at the restaurant. I personally accompanied the lead technician during our last visit. I was present when the foreman (Ivan) water tested the roof for over an hour and completely saturated the area around the AC unit and surrounding areas. We were unable to duplicate the leaking that you were experiencing. There were no visible holes to be found on the flashing around the AC unit or any surrounding areas. You were personally up on the roof with us during the inspection and agreed that nothing seemed out of order. The photos you've provided do not show any definitive results or proof of damage to the roof due to poor workmanship. This roof system was thoroughly inspected by a Duro-Last manufacturer representative who signed off on the warranty and the quality of workmanship. You were provided a copy of the inspection results as well as the signed manufacturer warranty. Many of the repairs listed on Turner Roofing's invoice are related to the siding and window flashing which we informed you was likely the cause of the leak during our last visit. Now that Turner has voided the Duro-Last warranty by coating the membrane with GACO silicone, we can no longer offer any assistance or honor any warranty for this roof system. Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse you for any expenses paid to Turner since the work performed was not authorized, voided the Duro-Last manufacturer warranty and was largely made up of work performed to the siding and window flashing which were never part of our original contract. ********** Eric, I am very disappointed with your response. I am very surprised your company is not taking any responsibility for the leaks. Let's say the all the leaking was from the siding and window flashing. Why did Arocon not make any recommendation to immediately fix those areas the first time you came around? The second time? The third time? This could have saved me over 5 years of stress and suffering from a leaking roof. If you look closely at the 12 pictures in the Turner invoice, only a few of the pictures are related to the siding and window flashing. That means the majority of the areas repaired were on the actual roof; they found 4 holes on the roof all in different areas. Something is not adding up here Eric. Again, why couldn't Arocon fix the issues immediately the FIRST time? read more

Before getting into a contract with them for your roof, it might be helpful to test them through a tune-up service to see how they stand behind their job! Although, the team who did my tune-up was respectful and on time, one week after the service, my "cleaned" gutter has clogged and holes made by an old satellite dish which were supposed to be sealed properly during the tune-up, still leak! The worst part is the customer service! "Repeatedly" asking for another $199 to send the technicians to follow up with the first job! And when I post my feedback, they come back with saying "Our records show that you have used our service in the past, and were very pleased" which is just not true! This was the only time I worked with them and will stay the "that way" forever! read more

Arocon had such good ratings by previous customers so I hope that my experience is just a fluke. I will say they are very friendly when they do return calls and the roofers did a great job but the company clearly suffers from an aloof attitude from management. Here are a list of issues: 1) They did not coordinate with our HOA as promised, 2) They did not coordinate with our insurance company as promised until pressed, 3) They changed the date several times, 4) They showed up with a smaller crew then promised, 5) They were therefore done five hours later than promised, 6) They did not tarp the house as promised, 7) They therefore destroyed a flower bed, 8) They did not finish the job for another 5 days, 9) They left the dumpster in our driveway for 5 days, and 10) Worse of all, they never once returned our calls once the payment was made. My mistake: I paid them in full before the job was done. I would recommend avoiding this despite their pressure. They will abruptly end communication after payment. read more

I waited many weeks for my roof estimate appointment, for which I arranged my work schedule and did not attend a colleagues farewell event. Hey, when your roof is seeping, you do what you need to do, right? Unfortunately, at our scheduled appt. time today, no one from Arocon showed up. I called twenty minutes later, and had to wait another twenty minutes for a return phone call. "We're sorry for the miscommunication.... according to our notes we left a message back in August saying we don't look at roofs with roof decks". I received no such voicemail. I've checked again to verify... nothing from Arocon. Perhaps they intended to. Important points... 1) I do not have an attached roof deck. This is a flat walk-out roof. There is some decking on risers that protects the current torch down material. The decking is easily picked up. We could have taken care of that prior to their arrival for the estimate because our intention is to dispose of it anyway. 2) I conveyed this when I made the appointment. Arocon asked if I would like to reschedule the appt. in light of the fact that we are taking up the wood. Oh good lord, no. Would you? read more

Called to set up a quote for my roof and gutters in Baltimore. I was able to get scheduled the next day for a rep to come out. He measured/ evaluated the property, and assured me that he'd follow up with a quote right away. That was over two weeks ago, and I've heard absolutely nothing. I've emailed twice and called the corporate office to follow up. The office assured me that they'd get a quote to me the same day, but clearly my business is not important to them! While there giving a quote they ran and bought tarps and emergency tarped off the roof on the spot (even if i didnt decide to go with them). They were super pleasent and easy to work with. Let me state first and foremost, they do not do the work themselves even though their sales pitch denotes that they do. They hire unskilled laborers who have no business relationship with Arocon whatsoever. This results in the customer being stuck in the middle when there is a disagreement...and there was no shortage of disagreements I assure you. The customer unknowingly pays a down-payment before the laborers are even hired. Big mistake. Arocon doesn't pass along the contract to the laborers so the customer is then responsible for renegotiating all the pricing and time frame of the work. It was an absolute nightmare working with Arocon. The final product was not done to the specs of the contract. I was shorted material and had excuses thrown at me left and right why they couldn't meet the terms of the contract. The unskilled laborers demolition-ed my property and then, for lack of a better term, immediately went on strike against Arocon. They left my property torn up, littered with garbage / cig butts / tools for over 3 weeks. Apparently there was a disagreement with Arocon and the laborers over money, and I / my property took the brunt of the punishment. Arocon was unapologetic and insisted I owed, yet again more money for the amount of material being used even though it was already in the signed contract which they accepted the deposit on. From the get go it was like pulling teeth - from trying to get the correct contract, to nearly having to plead for the paid receipt for the deposit, to the constant last minute delays, and lack of communication. I had to fight for them to do the work that was in the contract. I was constantly asked for more money for what was already in the contract. I hired this company to install my kitchen. I went with IKEA for the cabinets and was told that "the guys" installed ikea all the time during the sales pitch. I was also told that the old cabinets could be donated and reused - thereby giving me a small tax deduction. Well, "the guys" turned out to be just one handyman. And that handyman had never installed IKEA before! The old cabinets were left outside for over a week, and it rained, so then they could not be donated - so no tax deduction. The kitchen does look nice, and the handyman they contracted to do the work really tried to do his best. However, for the price I paid, I would not expect only one handyman to come out and take almost 2 weeks for a simple job like my kitchen. I only work part time and it took me over 6 months to save up the money for this job. I do not feel like it was money well spent. For future projects, I will skip the AROCON middleman and just hire the handyman at 1/3 the cost. read more

My husband and I had Mikey and Chris do a gutter cleaning and roof inspection/repair on our house last week. They did the gutter cleaning first and I could tell they were really thorough with it because I could see all of the debris coming out as they were cleaning. They also took before and after pictures to show me. Then, they went up on the roof and checked out the structural integrity and made a few repairs. Before leaving, they showed me the summary including pictures of all areas of the roof that they had any concerns about or fixed along with a 1-10 rating for each area. They also sent this to our email afterward. I thought the value was really good, and they offer a plan where you get two of these services a year and also access to emergency roof repair, and the price is slightly cheaper than if you purchase the services individually. I must say that after my initial 609428807review, I was contacted by the company and they have done their best to solve this issue to my satisfaction. I have never found a worst company than Arocon. There was problems from the beginning until it ended with a BBB complaint. The worst part has been that they scratched 6 windows in the back of the house, broke an exterior lamp and several window screens. They replaced the lamp and exterior screens, but now, 3 months after they finished the work, I'm still waiting for them to replace the window glass for those 6 windows. Arocon called a company to make an estimate and the price was 200$ per window. Arocon did not contact me about it, I had to contact the other company directly to get the info. Arocon was to settle the damge with a $500 refund that does not cover the replacement. The most incredible thing is that I warned the roofers while they were throwing shingles and damaging the windows but they said it was going to be ok. A few weeks later a manager came looked at the windows and said the scratches would come off. In general there has been problems from the beginning, from the moment they ask you to sign a paper to represent you to the insurance company and they don't, to when they block my garage with materials and it takes them 48h to move them, they leave them on my lawn for two weeks killing my lawn, to the rescheduling of the project ( they were contacted in March and the job was done in July) and the lack of communication and professionalism. I absolutely dont recommend Arocon. Stay away from this company! read more

We had Arocon put on a new roof, gutters, and gutter caps in 2015. I was pleased with the work but had to have them come back to clean up some of the trash that the workers had left when they ate lunch outside. In March of 2020 we had an issue with a piece of siding at the roof line on the rear dormer, called them they came out - then Covid. We tried following up in October and November but no one ever responded. Fast forward to January- I finally got in touch with someone they said the person from before was no longer with the company so they sent someone else out. We walked around back to take a look and he told me that the repair was too small for them and it would be less expensive if I got a handy man to do it. He said that he would contact me with the name of the person that does that work for them. Three weeks later I still haven't heard back from him, when I called the office last week they said they would ask him to follow up. The guy is the father of the young man that sold me the new roof. How do I continue to recommend a company that doesn't follow up? I'm also concerned with who to contact if I need help with my roof or want to update the siding and windows on my house - do you think I'll use this company again? read more

Absolutely no complaints. Jon came out to perform the roof tune up which includes a gutter cleaning. I had hoped they could fix the issue I have with a skylight but he explained there was nothing he could do to help. It included a full roof inspection and an after report with photos. The gutter cleaning was great (although they do not remove the debris) and his roofing knowledge seemed expert. I got what I paid for and a list of todos for the future which will likely include a new roof. I feel confident that when I am ready to replace the roof Arocon will do it right if Jon is on the job. read more

I really like that Arocon is a big enough company to have someone who solely handles customer service/scheduling instead of dealing with contractors directly who are sometimes unreliable. Called main #, spoke to customer service, scheduled consult. Guy showed up to consult and gave me a quote right on the spot that he printed our and emailed to me. Didn't pressure me to accept quote on the spot but I decided to as he seemed very knowledgeable. He told me someone would call me to schedule roof work. Two days later, got a phone call, and scheduled roof replacement for about a week out. On the scheduled day around 9am, the crew showed up (not same guy from consult; this was a crew of typical laborers) and did work in one day. Got phone call next day from customer service to pay remaining 2/3 of balance. You put 1/3 down before the visit to start the work. Was a seamless transaction, I was happy with the price and service, and hopefully my roof doesn't leak for another 10-15 years! read more

Had a roof "tuneup" today by Austin at Arocon. He went up and I could hear him cover the entire house. He spent a little over an hour then went over the condition of my roof with me in detail. He took pictures which included the new gutters that were installed not too long ago. I wanted to make sure the leaf guards were out in. Some of the calking around the vents and flashing were cracking and lifting and he resealed them. Nails were also raised causing water to go through the holes. He fixed those too. Other pics showed the shingles starting to crack and erode. I asked him if I needed a new roof as it is almost at the end of its life and he said depending on the weather he could not predict but I could probably wait another few years. He then emailed me all the pictures. I would recommend the tuneups, I didn't know they even existed till this past year as I was calling for new roof estimates. The tuneup was a couple hundred dollars and so worth it. Gives you a true picture of what your roof looks like. read more

Well I had to spend about $10K on my roof when a leak was discovered in late Nov./early Dec. The weather was on my side that year (2015) as it was a warm dec and very little rain. However, they were far more responsive than the other companies that gave me a quote. And on the day scheduled to do the roof, NINE people showed up to work on it. They got coordinated and attacked the job right away and somehow got the entire roof installed in just one day. No problems. Would do business with them again. read more

This was our second experience with this company after having a leak through flashing prior which they responded to timely and fixed expeditiously. We now needed a whole new roof and this company came recommended by family. They were quick, honest and, barring some uncontrollable weather issues, they did the work as promised. Our original quote had to be increased due to some boards needing replacement. This was verbally communicated to us over the phone and approved. However when charges were made the cost was higher than we recall approving. At this point we have no idea if these extra materials were actually used. I have no reason to doubt they were not, however when it comes to charges, especially extra charges that were not discussed or authorized we would have appreciated a phone call and more importantly a follow-up in writing, even a text, stating what had been agreed upon. This is the only reason for a one-star reduction. And I'm not saying we suspect anything untoward, but there should be a better/more professional manner in which to handle these situations. This company has excellent communication otherwise and has been quite reliable. Their quote was also, for the most part, quite competitive. We would call them again if we have any roofing issues. read more

I'm so glad I was referred to Arocon. We needed a single shingle replaced on our house before closing on its sale. No one wanted to come out for just that or would price gouge to do it. Our handyman said the pitch was too steep. So, I called Arocon and booked the $99 tuneup. They were able to come out in just a couple of days. I was afraid they would change the price after they arrived. But you actually prepay, so no issue there. They replaced the single, did some caulking and other minor things, and made a report we could give to the buyer. Professional service and a fair price. Hired Arocon to remove the built in gutters in my roof and install new gutters. Three day job, on the second day they called me and required I pay an addition $2,000 because they miscalculated, which I declined since they were pretty close in cost to the other two prices I received and would have chosen their competition if they had quoted that high of a price. On the third day they installed the shingles. They installed the wrong shingle color which clashed (light green against a grey/black) with the rest of the roof shingles which remained as this was a patch over old built in gutter only, then took almost two months to fix that. While fixing, they failed to protect anything, driveway, bushes, etc and caused damage to my 2 year old driveway. One of the owners came out, agreed the driveway was damaged, then started to backtrack. He agreed it needed to be fixed and was to get pricing to re coat the driveway to fix the issue. The next day he emailed and told me his partners did not want to fix, please pay in full at this time. I told them they needed to make it right and he replied pay, dont pay, we will turn it over to our attorneys. read more

When I questioned if he was serious that the office didn't tell him the nature of the appointment he stated that he would like to hear it from me. Bottom line up front, I recommend NOT using Arocon. I hired Arocon to replace my roof and replace four skylights. The experience was incredibly long and terrible. When I received the contract to sign I noticed that there were some mistakes on it regarding part numbers for the skylights. When I contacted the salesman, he assured me that they ordered the correct parts and that everything would still go smoothly. A few days before the work was supposed to be done, I got an email stating that the slope on my garage was too low and that they needed to use different material and this would cost ME an additional $1,000. After some back and forth he said that Arocon would use the needed material at no extra cost to me. This part is just my conjecture but I decided to look up the new material cost per square foot vs what I was initially estimated and based on what I found that it quite possibly should have been cheaper not more expensive but I just let that go. The day came (Thursday) to replace the roof but the skylights never showed up and I was told that they would return tomorrow (Friday) as they would be here. The skylights came but no one showed up. I called about 4pm and was told that they were coming out tomorrow (Saturday now) at 8 am and that someone supposedly called to inform me. Was not very happy to find out that they were going to just show up at 8 am on a Saturday unannounced. They showed up on Saturday to find out that every single one of the skylights was measured wrong and not by just an inch, but inches. I was initially told that the skylights would be ordered immediately and they should come within a week or two. Three months went by! When I was told that they were ordered right away, I asked what the exact date on the order was and it was one month after they told me they were ordered. While waiting for the skylights, we had to have them come out THREE times to fix leaks in our BRAND NEW roof! I think possibly this time they might have been able to stop the leaking. I decided to go on the roof just to look around and found two nails not all the way hammered in, one actually cracked the shingle above it. I found nails in EVERY gutter along with rubber bands and even a tube of roofing cement. There was plastic garbage around my yard after every visit and they even broke a solar path light. They canceled/rescheduled the first estimate meet, and then never showed up for the second one. Edit: Now I find out they needed to cancel/reschedule again? How many phone calls/emails do I need to answer to get someone to show up? Meanwhile my roof is leaking, and I should have relied on another company that takes appointments seriously. read more
