    Mussels (Red Sauce)
    R H.

Mussels (red sauce) in bread bowl were exceptional. The mussels themselves were huge and high quality. Pasta unfortunately was undercooked and tasted raw- inedible; maybe it was just an unlucky cook. Was seated right away by friendly host, and manager said hello on the way in which added to the warm welcome. Server seemed unprepared regarding specials and attentiveness. Would return for those mussels, though!

Food and drinks were delicious and fresh. Our server, John, was attentive and knowledgeable without being in our faces the whole time. The restaurant itself was beautiful and cozy. Was easy to have a conversation without feeling the need to yell over noise. Super excited about the valet as parking in Conshy can get rough especially when there's snow or bad weather. We will definitely be back!

We came here for our Valentine's Day dinner after just randomly looking up places that still had reservations open . I'm so glad we discovered this gem ! They offered a special menu and we tried a few appetizers and entrees . The cocktails were on point , pasta delicious but my favorite was the calamari that you can get breaded or grilled for a healthier option !Our server Trinity was exceptional , super friendly and made the best recommendations . The restaurant itself has the best ambiance and energy ,I cannot wait to come back ! Food 10/10 , service 10/0. Thanks so much!

    Crab cakes

The bread was great and the atmosphere. Amazing service as well! I love the variety on the menu. My friends ordered pasta, which is made in house. Those portions looked great. I was however disappointed by the portion for the $40 crab cakes. I was definitely still hungry, and the crab cakes while tasty were very small. Aroma has a lot of potential, and we're so happy it's in the area! My feedback would be to increase portions. People don't mind paying extra dollars IF the portions are appropriate. Especially at an Italian restaurant.

The oil my pasta was swimming in.

If none of those appeal to you, your only alternative is to choose a pasta with a standard sugo (tomato sauce). There are also a couple of sandwich options, but those are limited as well. There's little to no flexibility--if it's not on the menu, they're not likely to accommodate substitutions or custom requests. That said, the two young men I encountered were both professional and not snarky at all in relaying the limitations. It was what it was. I went with rigatoni in sugo, topped with grated Parmesan. The pasta was excellent--perfectly al dente, and the sauce had great flavor and consistency. Authentic and well-prepared. That said, the downsides are hard to ignore. The portion was relatively small, and with a bottle of Italian soda, the total came to $22.58--closer to $30 with tip. There's also no complimentary bread. Focaccia is available for $5, but it didn't look particularly appealing (a bit dark and overly crisp), though I didn't try it. Pros: * Delicious, authentic Italian pasta * Perfect texture and well-balanced sauce * Clean, attractive trattoria setting Cons: * Very limited menu (pasta and a few sandwiches) * No customization or flexibility * Price feels high for the portion size * No complimentary bread Overall, a tasty experience, but the limited menu and value may not work for everyone.

This visit I bought the fresh tagliatelle, lobster raviolis, spinach raviolis, bolognese sauce, and rose sauce. I froze the raviolis and have never tried them before so can't review yet. A pound of fresh tagliatelle with the sauces was plenty for two. I love fresh pasta. I'm not the best at making it at home so this is a perfect option. I love how they cut the pasta when you order it. That makes a huge difference in quality and texture. The bolognese sauce is very good. A lot of meat. Chunks of carrots. The flavors are delicious. It is a little greasy but you can fix that when heating it up. The rose is a mix of marinara and Alfredo. Thick and tasty. I definitely enjoyed both. It was a little too heavy considering we paired it with a thick pasta. They have so many sauces to try....cant wait to go back. They also have prepared foods to take out which I never tried. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Everything is fresh and homemade. Much better than some restaurants.
