Such a great atmosphere, service and food! We ordered the burrata salad, chicken parm, and chicken Caesar salad for lunch. Pinot noir was perfect! Chicken parm was great -- Sauce was not too sweet and the ratio of chicken/cheese was perfect. Portions were ideal. Caesar salad was crispy, fresh and prefect amount of dressing. The burrata salad was well seasoned and grapes had a nice, sweet touch. Service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and love to go here again! read more

We made a reservation for Pepperoncini to celebrate a birthday. There is no on site parking but plenty of street parking near by. Once checked in, we were seated promptly. Inside, it's not too big and the tables are small and close to each other. We ordered Whipped Ricotta Board and Baked clams for appetizer; the Ricotta board was excellent, the baked clams good but a little light of flavor. For the main dishes, we had Pappardelle Bolognese, Margherita pizza and steamed fish (special of the day). Pappardelle Bolognese was good and plenty; the Margherita pizza was pretty salty and hard; steamed fish is fresh but again a little light of flavor. Overall, the food is good but not great. Service is friendly, whenever someone walks by, they will ask how's everything and if we need anything. The speed of food is slow at times, there was a 20 minute gap between the two appetizers. And although we mentioned the occasion is for a birthday during reservation, seems to be forgotten at the actual dinner. read more

I went here on a date on Friday night, this resto is very small and extremely popular, you need reservations. And this is the "low season". I got lucky. Parking is no joke, if you haven't been to Pepperoncini before you need to know its an issue and know you park well before the GPS takes you to its storefront, it's located on a narrow residential street that is very difficult to escape once you pass its front door. Obviously none of the above count in my rating. Service was warm. The owner (or manager) was very attentive. Waitresses were sweet. Volume wasn't too high I could talk comfortably with my date. The problem was the food, it just wasn't very good. A shrimp appetizer was okay, chicken wings were dry and over-cooked, a bland margherita pizza was overcooked with a crust that tasted about the same as frozen. I wasn't offended, in fact the manager came by to ask us "how we were doing" and when I mentioned the wings he wanted to comp me the dish or replace them, I refused. Bread served before the meal was conspicuously supermarket-bought. If you are looking for a bar to have a drink with friends and maybe grab some snacks and watch the game, this place is fine if you can get a seat. Given my opinion is based on one visit with a small order, I easily could have missed dishes that were better. read more

Unique dishes at @pepperonciniland this Friday night!! We had the Gnocchi Allá Sophia Loren: gnocchi with spinach, toasted pine nuts, and a port wine Gorgonzola cream sauce. We also had the Penne allá vodka with crispy pancetta, peas, and tomato cream. So much pasta for such a great price! Also had espresso martinis and side Caesar salads, which were actually quite big. Had the lamb burger a few years back. Now I have to go back every chance I get as it is the best burger I've ever had!

We had a private dinner of a little over a dozen people, and I submitted an inquiry online; they got back to me within 24 hours and were a breeze to plan with - we created a private dining menu, and they allowed us to hang around the bar area a bit before our reservation. We were able to order a la carte apps, and the food came with no issue (we got to pick a salad or a soup + an entree). The service at the bar and the tables were excellent, and they even packed up extra meals to go since we had a few people drop out last minute. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again for a corporate dinner! read more

Got to the restaurant early so we sat at the bar until our reservation. Drinks we're good and the bartender was friendly. We we're seated at our reservation time with friendly service. My problem this time was the food. I ordered veal parm and it was not good. Tasted old and over cooked. Could barely cut it and it was almost black well done and almost too salty to eat. the pasta was mushy and over cooked also. Came here looking for a quick bite. It's a Sunday night and surprisingly the place was rocking! Packed, There's not an empty seat anywhere and even the bar is three deep, but they found me a table up front by the door. It's late and I don't want a big to do! So I see lasagna on the menu. Brook comes over and I order a ginger ale, easy on the ice. I then order the lasagna. The ginger ale comes right over and then within minutes the pasta. WOW it's excellent. Fresh with beef and veal and really great tomato sauce. This is like something grandma used to make. I eat it slowly relishing the taste. It's a smooth non spicy sauce, which really hits the spot. We're from Florida and visited our kids and grandkids this week. We went to Peoperocinis for dinner and absolutely loved it! It's the cutest place and every server was nice and very attentive! There were 7 of us and we ordered half of the menu, each plate was delicious. The meatballs are large and outstanding! The rollatini tender and tasty! This is a local place in a residential neighborhood, so many local people come in, We made reservations, and the table they gave us was right at the front door in the bar area, you could smell smoke from the people outside who go out and smoke. They moved us-no problem. The waitress was great, very friendly and helpful. My issue was how loud the bartender and bar patrons were. Some people were relatives of the staff there and the bartender would be yelling, "xxx, your husband is talking about you!" We were there for my brother-in-law's birthday. There was nothing available in the dining room until 8 PM so we made the reservation in the bar area. Next time we will not sit there. The restaurant cannot control how loud and obnoxious its customers are but it really affected our experience. The food is good there, the Arancini was excellent. read more

Really cool neighborhood spot. The full kitchen is open until 10 and open until 11 for pizza. Great spot for late night eating. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by a friendly bartender who explained the whole set up to us. They have a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The house red wine (cab) is pretty good for the price point. We watched the bartender make Espresso Martinis nonstop and when we asked about it she said they're so popular in the fall and winter that they make 200+ a week! Not my thing but if you're an espresso martini lover I recommend giving it a try! Each table is given bread with oil. This olive oil was incredible. It's high quality dark green olive oil that tastes like the kind you get at restaurants in Italy. We ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and the San Nicola entree. The salad was ok but had so much lemon zest that it overpowered the flavor of the rest of the salad. I HIGHLY recommend the San Nicola entree!! It was a great choice. The chicken was perfectly cooked; very tender and juicy. The menus says it comes with lump crab meat and shrimp. Most places say that but don't actually do it; that is not the case here! There was tons of crab with great flavor. The San Nicola was a great choice if you want something that is savory without being too heavy. My only issue was the noise level. It was so loud and everyone's voice echoed. It was hard to hear what was being said right next to me. Next time I will definitely request to sit outside if it's too packed inside. read more

Tucked into Conshy with easy-ish street parking, we were very impressed with the overall experience. What we snagged: -Mussels Spicy (Great flavor, but not spicy until we got to the broth with bread. Needed to be infused within the mussel meat) -Pappadelle Al Capo (Great dish, but the sausage needed to be cut smaller. Too big meatball-ish style for us) -Goombah pizza (Amazing taste. Great za) -Wine was VERY on point. Even had Blantons on the shelf for a little taste of great bourbon. Overall, 4.7. Great meal and great environment. Very pleased with the service and quality meal. I can't believe I have not been here yet after living in the area for over a year. We started with mussels white, clams casino, stuffed long hots and the calamari. I tried the long hots and calamari, boy were they delicious. So much flavor! The peppers were generously stuffed with sausage and cheese. The calamari were not overly breaded and had great flavor on their own. The pesto dipping sauce was seriously so good!!! I ordered the vodka penne off the red sauce Sunday menu ($17 entrees with a side salad). I was slightly disappointed with this dish as the pasta and shrimp were both overcooked. I tried my bf's gnocchi which were delicious, but his sausage was overcooked as well. Service was attentive and water kept flowing. We had a great experience at Pepperoncini. We made a reservation through Resy and we're seated very close to the time we had a reservation for. It is a pretty small space, but there is a separate bar area with some high top tables and a dining area. The area we were in had five tables and was very cozy. While we waited, we sat at the bar and had drinks. My husband had a beer (pretty decent local selection) and I had a Horrible Bosses cocktail. It was delicious! We were seated shortly after and had amazing service. The servers seemed to tag team the effort, and it seemed seamless. We asked for recommendations, and they all were spot on. We started with meatballs. We didn't finish them all, and one of the servers packed it up with extra marinara and bread for dipping. We ordered entrees (chicken parm and Chicken San Nicola). I got the pasta that came with the chicken parm with vodka sauce so I could try it, and it was incredible. Just FYI, if you order an entree you get a side salad. At the end of the meal, they packaged up the leftovers for us. We got the chocolate cake to go. It was a great meal, and we hope to return when we are back in the area. read more

I had the ribeye special & it was cooked to perfection. The service is always great and you don't feel like you're being rushed out. Always a great atmosphere. This place is simply awesome ! My son Vince lives near by and he suggested we try it . We live in Lancaster and make the hour ride last year for the first time because it's simply that good. We go at least once a month and try for every other week if possible. Growing up delco , Italian , immigrant parents, it's difficult to get Italian food outside of our own home, mom was a gourmet Italian cook. We have had all the apps, but damm the baked clams are like my dad's ( sadly long passed on), but the taste brings back the memories. Last night 12/9, we had the lasagna, Salid in between, but started with the clams and the wrapped shrimp. This place makes better food than the fru fru high end restaurants that simply cant deliver on anything but fru fru lol . From the owner, to the staff, we have not met one person in this place that has an attitude. When sitting near the bar, at the bar, or anywhere in this restaurant, the people are friendly regardless of local , non local whatever, everyone is welcoming . We caught the end of the Army Navy game in the bar with pre set reservation's, and again everyone is friendly , great vibe and by far my favorite place to eat in Conchee ! From private dining, intimate dining to the open bar, this is a 5 star place, one of the best I have been too. Side note , I travel in my work and have eaten in the highest end restaurants from Hong Kong to the spans of the US , and this is in my top 5 . FYI mixed drinks, my wife is picky and loves the end result , for me, I love beer and first requirement is cold! Sounds simple stupid and I cant tell you how many places serve luke warm beer, this place is ice cold ! Outdoor seating is cute but on a busy street. Place was a sketch bar a million years ago and now a cute little Italian place on a street now lined with remodeled homes. Tight squeeze like most Conshy restaurants. Updated interior which was really nice. The staff was very friendly, the manager came to check in! Calamari was so good and came with a pesto sauce, would def get again. The mussels were GREAT in the red sauce! Save some of the bread they give to dip in the mussel sauce. The water people are so on point, not sure if it was extra slow or if they're extra attentive but I could take a sip before they filled it up. Mains were good! Scallops were hot and fresh and the risotto was creamy and rich. I would go back here and try more menu items. Solid Italian for the occasion you need. read more

Last night in Philly burbs after seeing family. Just wanted something casual and tasty. Conshy is close and the restaurant scene has really blossomed over the years since I moved to California 30 years ago. Something casual, "neighborhoody", with good food, service and atmosphere. Was not sure if Monday would be a rocking atmosphere in Conshy. Reservation app gave me some options and then delved into the Yelp review quagmire. Came across Peeperoncini and it made me say hmmmm. Italian would be a perfect base before a very early morning flight. Special of flash seared ahi tuna with pineapple and Agrodolce sauce would normally be right in my wheelhouse but I went with their twist on Orecchiette with Italian sausage and Broccoli rabe. It subbed fresh Pappardelle and added cherry tomatoes. I think I'll try at least the tomatoes next time I make it at home (as it is my favorite pasta dish in general. I'd give it a very solid A. Highly recommend. My Mom had the linguine and clams in the white sauce. She is particular (especially for an Irish gal) on her mussels. Too small is a no as is too big. Need to be medium sized - just right. They were really tasty. Staff was professional and attentive without being "too much". Available when we needed something but letting us enjoy our meal without over checking in. Says a lot I about the ownership/management that they embrace the right people and make sure that they are top drawer. And for a Monday night, while it is small, all tables were full and the bar was hopping. A great sign that they have a strong established client base. Really glad I came here and I'll spread the word with people I know still in the area. Conshy/Norristown has many Italian Leaning restaurants. Id put this up at the top. The range of food should cater to almost any palate. I can't comment on the cocktails and wine but my Mother said the house Chardonnay was quite good. Having been deemed by friends as the sober sommelier, I'll defer to her palate on that, as my wine snobbery is a thing of the past. Thanks to Paul, servers and kitchen for sending me back to California with a full satisfied belly. I'll sleep well. I'm trying to be be better at posting Yelp reviews. As I say I'll do it and then I don't. But I'll remember this place and when I am back (hopefully next time with the hubby) we will make a point to schedule Pepperoncini onto our must go list with Mom and the in-laws.
