As a Jersey Italian, I don't hand out compliments on pizza lightly. We tried the new restaurant this weekend, and it was the first pizza I've had since moving to Aiken that genuinely tasted like home. We ordered the Margherita, Di Parma, and Dolce Salato, and every one of them was excellent. I have celiac disease, so I ordered the gluten-free crust. It was so good that I actually called the restaurant when I got home because I couldn't believe it was gluten-free. It was hands down the best gluten-free pizza crust I've ever had. Everyone needs to give this incredible establishment a try. They're doing a gradual rollout right now with pizzas and salads, but pasta and risotto are coming soon. As an Italian, I'm already looking forward to seeing what they do with those. Bring on the truffles, please! It's great to finally have a place in Aiken serving food that reminds me of home. read more

Well, for a new restaurant it's just opened. It was very disappointing. Only the salads and the pizzas were available. None of the pastas or appetizers. I ordered a pizza & was complimented on my choice. First 1/3 of the crust was burned, and the rest of it had loose flour on top that had not been worked into the dough The toppings were skimpy when I say skimpy, I mean, skimpy arugula(only eight pieces on the entire pizza), skimpy prosciutto (only four pieces on the entire pizza) and hardly any cheese or sauce Don't bother to go there read more

Delightful Spot! With the very best quality - we love this place! It is our weekly night out! We can't say enough great things about it. It's sad that people don't understand what a Neapolitan style wood fired pizza is all about. If you are expecting American style pizza - this is not for you. Absolutely the best. I'm a disappointed neighbor. I can almost see La Scuderia from my house, and I wish it were easy to walk over to get a pie. But their business practices get in the way of me becoming a regular. If my husband and I walk over and dine in, there's a $5 sharing fee added to the bill. And if we call ahead to order pickup, it's not ready when we get there. They don't start cooking the pizza until you show up. Since we prefer to walk over, we're stuck waiting for it in their dining room. My last complaint is their bread service. When we ordered it for $6, we got just 3 pieces of bread, and no breadsticks as written on the menu. The bread was delicious, but not worth $2/slice. read more

Disclaimer...we visited during the soft opening. First off, pizza was really good & our server rocked it! Also, we sat at the bar and had a front row seat to the action in the kitchen. Kitchen staff was calm, cool, & collected, although the flow has not been flushed out yet... The host/ manager was visibly stressed and was not overly welcoming. There were a couple choice 4-letter words that should not be verbalized during business hours. We ordered bottle of wine which was not uncorked in front of us, so that was odd. 1st visit (pictured): Best pizza in the CSRA, hands down. Highly recommend! Authentic Italian pizza and delicious! They're new and have some kinks to work out but this is one restaurant I hope sticks around! We were charged the share charge despite ordering two drinks which the owner has now stated on Facebook that if you order even one additional item, you will not be charged. Pizza was perfect. I've now been 3 times and will edit my review... 2nd visit: Ordered two pizzas to go over the phone. Got there and they had to throw them in the oven, bake them fresh, took only a minute or two. I was pleased to have fresh hot pizza to take home. Both were good! They put mushrooms on my veggie pizza even though I asked for no mushrooms, but not that big of a deal. It was still good pizza. 3rd visit: This one was disappointing. Ordered a pizza and bread service over the phone. Employee told us no rush, they wouldn't bake the pizza until I got there. I get there and the pizza and bread are already sitting by the window waiting. I check the pizza and it's cold. It's significantly smaller than the other 3 I've gotten from them, and it's burnt. The employee asked if something was wrong and I told her it was cold and I had a 30 min drive home, I was told they wouldn't bake it until I got there. She offered to put it back in the oven but I told her that wouldn't work because it was already burnt. She offered to remake it. I waited in my car and my bread service was complete dough. Not edible. By the time they brought my pizza back I wasn't waiting on the bread to be redone. So I took home my doughy bread and my hot pizza only to get home and find the pizza crust was doughy too. When they get it right, it is the best pizza around but it's insanely inconsistent quality. They are new and I hope they can iron out the kinks because I think it could be great. The flavors are incredible. Editing to 3 stars for an average of my visits. read more

My pizza was undercooked and doughy. Somehow the toppings were burnt. I don't know how they managed that. Also the order was wrong. I ordered bacon pepperoni And prosciutto but I got sausage instead. I hate sausage! Also $22 for a personal pizza a little bit bigger than the size of my hand is outrageous! And I have small hands! read more

Food was mostly good. Atmosphere not so much. We ordered 3 pizzas an order of meatballs ,bread service and a glass of wine. They sat us outside in an open-air "stable". The napkins we received for our dinner were cocktail napkins. Pizza was very good. Meatballs had way too much breading. Baguette bread was awful.The flys were bad and ended up in the wine. The owner came in and tried to hang a bug zapper in the room. Thankfully the cord was not long enough. Suggestions for the restaurant. Get some real dinner napkins. Install screens or at least serve the wine with a paper cap on the glass. read more

I was warned not to go to this restaurant by my brother who has owned several restaurants in the past .He was treated terible by the owner but I wanted to prove him wrong .. Nope!! .waste of money and the owner is as bad as he said he was. Pie was so burnt it was inedible and trust me from having Sicilian family who knows true Italian food this is terible... Went yesterday with my family. Pizzas were great! We got there right at opening so no wait. As we were waiting for our food to arrive, the restaurant began to fill up. By the time we paid our check and left the restaurant was full. Our waitress was attentive and friendly even though she so many tables. We will return as this is the best pizza in town and the best I've had in the CSRA. It's not cheap, so if you're looking for a less expensive place, there are many options, but for a truly delicious wood fired pizza, I'll take La Scuderia Trattoria every day. If I had one thing they could offer, I would ask for a side of pizza sauce or good EV olive oil to dip the pizza crusts in. read more

My family and I enjoyed absolutely delicious pizza this evening from La Scuderia!! The wood fired pizza reminds me of the wonderful pizza we enjoyed in Italy!! Our youngest generation has now been inducted into loving woodfired pizza! Our 18 month old grandson could not get enough of it which is a huge endorsement for deliciousness! As he is a very picky eater! We ordered it as takeout, which was great for us! We chose to order 3 pizzas, the Regina Margarita, the Calabrese and the Prosciutto Fungi! Gave a 2 due to the fact they are new. We were welcomed and upon sitting down at our table the waitress explained that the menu does consist of pizza or salad, due to the fact they were perfecting the pizzas. Even thou it is printed stating other items. We wanted the pasta however not able to serve us what was printed on the menu. Our waitress was nice but disappeared, and the place was very hot- not a great experience. It was packed and the pizza seemed good however our salad was not great- no chicken even thou we ordered chicken, and it was a salad nothing great- read more
