First things first... the hostess Lyne set the tone immediately. Personable, funny, and quick-witted. She picked up on my husband's "I like to cause a little trouble just because I can" energy within seconds. Without missing a beat she said, "Listen... we're going to put him in time out right there." Another guest nearby started chuckling and I knew right then we were in good hands. Our waitress Kim was just as amazing. Attentive without hovering, friendly, and she kept checking on us to make sure we were good and boxed up once we tapped out. Now let's talk about the food... whew chile. I ordered the Lady Killer and let me tell you... it absolutely understood the assignment. Whatever magic was happening in that kitchen... keep doing it. The salad was huge. I only made it a few bites before I had to surrender. The rest went upstairs with me because wasting food is not in my ministry. And the cocktail... round of applause... smooth, balanced, and pretty enough to make you pause before the first sip. All in all... great energy, great service, and food that delivered. The manager walked around inquiring about the service given. Someone mentioned they weren't happy about their food and she appeared genuinely concerned as she further asked questions and how to take care of the matter. I was impressed. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend working for or supporting this establishment. I have serious concerns regarding management, leadership, accountability, professionalism, and the way employees--especially Black employees--are treated. During my time there, I witnessed and experienced behavior from management that I found inappropriate and unprofessional. I reported concerns involving a manager, Sarah, who allegedly came to work smelling of alcohol or appearing intoxicated, yelled at me in front of customers, and engaged in inappropriate behavior involving employees. I also raised concerns regarding other managers and the overall lack of accountability when issues were reported. In addition, I experienced situations in which management made statements or submitted reports that I believe were inaccurate, exaggerated, or misleading. One report concerning a disagreement between a customer and me included details that I believe did not accurately reflect what happened. I have witnesses who were present and may be able to provide information regarding that incident. I believe the report should be reviewed and that the accounts of those who witnessed the situation should be considered. I also observed and experienced what I believe was inconsistent and unfair treatment of employees. In my experience, concerns raised by Black employees were not always handled with the same level of seriousness, fairness, or accountability. This contributed to a work environment that often felt uncomfortable, unsupported, and unprofessional. Employees should be able to report concerns without fear of being dismissed, misrepresented, retaliated against, or treated differently. Management should be held to the same standards of professionalism, honesty, and accountability expected of employees. Because of these experiences, I cannot personally recommend this establishment as a place to work or support. I hope the company takes employee concerns seriously, conducts fair and thorough investigations, reviews relevant reports and witness statements, and works toward creating a safer, more respectful, and more accountable workplace. read more

I was in Augusta for a conference at the Marriott. Augustino's became my lunch and dinner spot while I was there. For me, it was because the food quality and service were excellent. Everyone was very pleasant and my food was fresh, hot, looked appealing, and tasted fabulous. Everything had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the Meatball Parmesan sandwich, the Pork Belly and Turkey BLT, and the Ricotta Gnocchi. I have to mention that the gnocchi was freshly made. The atmosphere was inviting and I appreciated the televisions to watch as I waited for my meal. I will definitely visit again when I travel to Augusta. read more

After sitting on a plane that never took off for over 3 hours, I didn't expect to stumble upon a delicious meal after a long day of travel woes. The food was so good, and I was so hungry... I never snapped a pic. The charcuterie board was excellent - duck, salami, prosciutto, bree, Gouda, and onion jam. It was all just so good! We love coming here for special occasions and we were there today for their Mother's Day Brunch. Overall, it was a really good experience. There were lots of options and all of the food that I had was delicious. It was a little crowded, and the line for the omelet station was huge - maybe 2 of them in the future? The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Suggestion: it would have been nice to have a fresh fruit bar, and also, some bagels and croissants. Reserved a table for 10 on a Saturday evening for a teenager birthday dinner. The process was pretty easy. I tried to use OpenTable but the max reservation online was 8. Called the restaurant, made reservation for 10. Had to provide a credit card number in case of no shows or a party number significantly different than the reservation. Hostess made it clear that communication is the way to go to avoid unnecessary charges to your credit card. Once the majority of our party arrived we were seated immediately. This was our second year of skipping out on Christmas Day cooking and clean-up at home and, instead, heading to Augustino's for their Christmas buffet. We had a reservation (needed for this event) for 1:30. There were many people there but we were seated in a reasonable time. Our drink orders were taken but my Pinot noir came out as a Pinot Grigio. Once notified of that mistake, the server quickly brought out the correct wine so no big deal. The buffet had an hors d'oeuvres table set up with a nice variety. The main food area was set up in a long room and you grabbed a plate (or two) and made your rounds through the room, choosing what you'd like to eat. I chose some large shrimp, seafood gumbo, rice, and prime rib. The shrimp, unfortunately, were not very tasty or flavorful. Everything else was quite good. All 5 of us in our party enjoyed their chosen items. Then, after that, it was on to the dessert bar where we had cheesecake (very good), Boston cream pie (also very good), chocolate cake (son said it was yummy), and some round chocolate covered ball that was filled with a very light, fluffy chocolate mousse. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will certainly make reservations for next Christmas when the time to do that comes around. Unfortunately, our friend made the arrangements so I can't give any insight into when reservations for this buffet start but you can call to learn more. Half dozen baked oysters ($17).. the oyster itself was cold but the toppings were lukewarm.. it wasn't really "baked" more of "slightly heated" cause the heat didn't reach the oyster itself! The best part of the meal was the free bread!! It came hot and full of flavor. The margarita was fantastic also! After informing the waitress of my RAW food, she asked if I wanted anything else...
