Cute little coffee shop with great coffee and some nice treats. Everyone is nice and friendly and they move through orders with ease.

I've come to the realization that I really only like coming here because this is where I meet my aunts. Not because of the food or coffee. This place has very small portions. For a price slightly higher than what you'd pay at any other place around town, you get just a little bit less. My father won't even come here because he calls it a 'breakfast teaser' ... and I can attest that I'm not full even after eating a whole omelette. I suppose I'm a bit bitter about having coffee in suburbia when there are such cooler places in the city like coffee emporium or 1215 downtown. Alas, until I can convince my family that there is an incentive to try something new, we will meet up at Aroma's.

I waited a few days to write this review. I have been conflicted as to how to write it. Pros: Welcoming looking seating area. Board games are located to the back for patrons to enjoy. They sell gelato, coffees, and baked goods. Cons: In accurate menu board. Drinks have sizes and prices, so I ordered by size. The girl started to tell me that the sizes were actually different than stated. Then AFTER I ordered, and AFTER she made the drink, and AFTER she rung me up, and AFTER I asked why my total was more than it should have been, did she tell me about the $1.00 upcharge for frappe. I asked where it said that on the menu board. She looked at the board and informed me it doesn't. Taste was another offender. My drink tasted like instant coffee, and chocolate syrup. By far, the worse blended coffee I have ever had. I drank less than half. The only reason I drank as much as I did is I was trying to figure out what it tasted like. I finally gave up. I only came here because I received a gift certificate. I chose my order so that with tax my total would be less that the gift certificate. I didn't bring extra money. The girl said she would cover the additional charge. At first I thought, "what great customer service." The more I thought about it, the more it bothered me that the management puts their employees in this situation. I gladly would have ordered something else, or a smaller size if I would have known. The way she jumped right to her answer makes me think this is not the first time this has happened. There was no, I can make it smaller, or get a manager. Either that, or they do this to pad the tip jar. Either way, I felt very unsettled by the whole trip. I won't be back.

One of the best places in town for gelato!!! They make their own and it's superb. I haven't tried their coffee, because I don't drink that nasty stuff. :) The place is clean and the owner's are nice. They also feature local painters, photographers, which is cool. What to try: Passion fruit gelato... biggie size it!!!

Amazing! Love having this perfect place so close by to home! Great food, flavorful cupcakes, delicious gelato, and amazing coffees! One of my favorites!

Gelato made in house, and washed down with a hazelnut coffee.

Mediocre coffee for expensive price, owner not very nice. Some products aren't actually made there, although they claim otherwise.

There's two types of coffee shops in this world. When you order a cortado, one asks "what size" and…read morethe other makes a cortado. This is a "what size" type of place. If you want great coffee, this isn't the place. But it's a nice little place with fairly friendly staff and a sitting area to chat or work.

Imagine driving to Cincinnati ahead of the incoming snowstorm, ready for a fun coffee shop, because…read moremy sister is basically a coffee shop snob. We go across town (at least 20 minutes), hopes high and taste buds ready, only to land at this spot and find the energy a little more "BLAH" than "CAFFEEINE PARTY." I'm all about giving new to me places a chance, so I let them know I was from out of town, expecting an enthusiastic welcome or at least a menu breakdown. Instead, I got about as much excitement as a decaf espresso shot. I was this close to skipping the order altogether, but my inner self said keep going. The baristas making the drinks were great, and the space itself is roomy enough for laptop warriors or a catch-up with pals. The drinks, though, didn't have me doing cartwheels, but hey, maybe it was just an off day for my taste buds. I can't begin to remember the name of my drink Would I go back? Probably not. Will our Cincinnati crew give it another shot? Also unlikely. But hey, if you're nearby and feeling adventurous, maybe you'll catch them on a day when the energy is as strong as their coffee. Every coffee run has its own story, and this one just leaned a little more decaf than drama.
