Adorable space, awesome vibes, and kick ass coffees!! In from Indy and found this little place in the maps app. Vanilla lattes and breakfast sammies were delicious. Staff were energetic and friendly. Cannot wait until our next visit!

I visit this little cafe about once a week. I have never had a negative experience! Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful- they always nail my request to go "light" on the syrups in my coffee! The muffins are always fresh and delicious as well, you cannot visit here without grabbing one! Overall a very nice spot to hang out with friends or just enjoy a cup of coffee!

Perfect shop for this area! I enjoy a nice coffee shop that isn't Starbucks. Only a 10 minute drive from Anderson, it's hard to complain about Village Coffee Shop. We stopped in on a weekday morning sans kids and enjoyed sitting on the big red couch sipping a cortado. I learned at a past Yelp event (Urbana) that most baristas preferred drink is a cortado. Ever since, that's my go to order. Village did not disappoint. Aesthetically pleasing, the menu is also well done. Lots of drinks and syrups, breakfast items and pastries on the counter. Bagel and cream cheese came out warm. Hubs enjoyed his ham, egg and cheese. Overall a nice spot. There's different decor pieces for purchase and bagged coffee. Would happily come back, especially because the service was spot on!

Very pleased with my experience at this cute little coffee shop. It is located in a strip mall just as you enter into Newtown. I have driven by it a million times and never noticed it there, until I saw another Yelper review it. The minute I entered, I was kindly greeted. The sweet lady behind the counter chatted with me about the business briefly and answered all my questions. I chose the 20 oz vanilla lavender latte with a cinnamon muffin. She offered to heat up the muffin for me, which made it even tastier. The latte was perfect. Prices are on point with any local coffee shop. The atmosphere here was calming and various people were scattered around working/studying. There are a variety of drinks, really something for everyone even if coffee isnt your thing. They even have lunch food too. The walls are adorned with crafts from local vendors for purchase as well as bagged coffee and reusable cups. If you purchase a reusable cup, your refills in the future will be discounted. There were a bunch of tables outside to be enjoyed in the warmer months. This is definitely a great place to post up for a while, although I was in and out.

First visit to this new coffee shop in Newtown, which just opened in October. I work nearby and needed to escape the office for a little bit so decided to relocate for a few hours. I was the only the customer when I arrived around 1:45 on a Monday afternoon. I ordered a small cappuccino ($3.25), took a seat at one of the tables and settled in for a caffeinated writing session. The coffee was hot and strong, if a little heavy on the milk. Just the thing for countering the second snowfall of the season! Christmas music wafted through the place throughout my stay. Maybe a tiny bit loud, but I was wearing headphones for a good part of it so I didn't mind. The chairs are surprisingly comfortable and there are lots of little tables, which I appreciate since many other coffee places seem to have opted for big communal tables which are always kind of awkward when you're flying solo. About 2 hours in, one of the baristas offered me a taste of some freshly made pumpkin bread on offer. Um, yes please. It was so good! Would definitely recommend taking a look at the baked goods. 4 stars because...I need to make a return visit to complete my investigation. Were there available outlets? Not sure. Do they have WiFi? Maybe, but being off the internet was great for my productivity on this particular day. I will report back!

Stopped in from out of town and wanted to try something local. Very friendly atmosphere. Large menu of choices but kept it simple and got regular coffee. It's self pour. They had dark, house, medium and decaf choices. Got the medium Ethiopian blend. Hot and tastes fresh. Plenty of seating on the inside. Would definitely recommend checking out if you're in the area. Would come back to check out their speciality drinks and food.

This place opened a few months ago. I was excited when a coffee shop opened up a 2 minute walk from where I live. I finally got around to trying this place and I'm glad I did. When you walk in it has a cute, hippie, locally owned vibe. That had various artsy things for sale, I'm assuming from local vendors/Artists. I got the white chocolate mocha latte and it was delicious. Not too strong, not overly sweet. I paired it up with an ham, egg, and cheese English muffin. It was a delicious late breakfast after working out. And the pricing for the coffee and food was very reasonable. My 16 ounce drink was $3.75. The sandwich was $3.95 I will say the only down was the wait in line and the wait to get our drink and food. There seemed to be only once person working the line and I believe a person maybe working in the back. The barista was very apologetic, however, so it wasn't upsetting to me. I don't think if I was on a rush I would come to this coffee shop. Definitely check this place out when you're in no rush!

I have been all around the city and tried some of the areas most popular coffee shops and the village coffee shop beats them all. The best iced almond milk late in Cincinnati.

Not an easy place to talk or hear anything. My kids... this is where the review really is. My kids eat out at places like this a lot. Their opinion on avocado toast is very well informed. The bread they were given was soggy and gross. Not something that was acceptable. There was so much mayo on these that you could have put them on the gill and fried them. Really gross. It was all over the avocado too. They hated it. I hated it. My kids were so unhappy with this toast that they went to the counter to ask for new bread. So because this was a meet-up, I did not take any pictures of my food. My experience was so lacking from years ago, that afterwards I felt I needed to share it sans photos. The staff was extremely friendly and the food came out quickly. It was the quality that was lacking. I'm sure there have been many changes in chefs/cooks over the past decade, but these staples: bowl of chili and sweet potato fries were just lacking. Both have been on the menu since I used to go there long ago. The chili was watery- almost like a tomato soup with a bit of beef. Toppings were nice: sour cream, onions, cheddar cheese. The sweat potato fries were overdone and a smaller portion for the price, but I understand the cost issues restaurants face today, so I had no problem with the price. The side pineapple sauce tasted just like it did years ago, so I was happy with that consistency. I'm hoping this was just an off day for the kitchen staff. The host and wait staff were exceptional.
