My mom ordered take out from here asking for a whole pollo. When she went to pick it up, it was not a whole pollo it was just 4 little chicken legs. Thank god she opened the package before leaving. She confronted the manager/owner and he didn't say sorry or gave her any discount. Terrible costumer service. Basically they took advantage of us. Be careful in this place. While initially a little reluctant to go here given the numerical reviews we were truly amazed with just about every aspect of our experience. Unpretentious strip mall storefront surroundings but clean with an extensive menu, superb service (thank you Maria), quality, freshness and flavors, large portion sizes, and more than reasonable prices. In fact, the food excelled any Peruvian we've had including in Lima, Cuzco, Nazca, etc. and many places on the US west coast. One highlight was their Leche De Tigre, a ceviche of marinated fish, a little Hominy and Cilantro in a Peruvian sauce based on tangy Lime, evaporated milk, lightly salted, attractively topped with finely sliced red onions served in a large deep Margarita glass, and spiced to your desire (medium was perfect for us). A generous portion of fried corn circled the foot of the glass that complimented well the spicy tang of the sauce. Superb! Surely will be back to try other tempting offerings. read more

First time here and also first time for Peruvian food for me. The place was very clean, staff was quick and freindly and the menu is pretty large so there are a lot of choices to be had. Food came reasonably quickly, I ordered the Lomo saltado based on Joey V.'s review since I didn't know anything about the cuisine. Joey V. was right, it was delicious. Generous portion with some sort of green sauce that was awesome too. Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. I'd recommend it. read more

The service is AWFUL! I went July 27th at 9:15pm. The guy working there had a terrible attitude. I asked what time they closed and they said the restaurant closes at 10 but the kitchen at 930. I told him that I wanted to order to go, and he said that they were all out of food except for milanesa de pollo (a large chicken cutlet) with white rice. I agreed to order that since he said the was NOTHING else left in the kitchen. The guy who took the order acted like he hated working there and couldn't wait to get out. I understand that it's Saturday night but DO YOUR JOB! I don't know how someone like that works for tips. If the restaurant staff wants to go home early they should close earlier. Don't have the "open" sign on if you don't want to keep cooking and selling food. I hope the owner reads this and makes some adjustments because they will go out of business with that attitude. My first time here. Ambiance a bit plain but very clean, tv had a fairly popular soccer game on and there was a good crowd to watch. If your hungry the portions are very generous. We had four different meals. Quesadilla, beef with vegetables over noodles, beef with vegetables over french fry potatoes and a seafood mixed in rice with pea's and carrots(Paella style) The beef(lomo) was ok. The seasoning was garlic and soy. Not overly salty, and large cut vegetables. The beef dishes similar in flavor with different carb loads. The seafood and rice dish(Paella) looked great when it was served. The garnish was half a crab that looked more like an origami swan. The rice was well cooked and golden in color. The flavor was a nice mix with the different seafood incorporated into it. The seafood was all over cooked. This is a tough dish to pull off normally and while the rice had a nice flavor the seafood was very rubbery. Chicken quesadilla was excellent. The chicken was moist and flavorful. A nice veggie and guacamole mix with plenty of cheese. The size was enormous, enough for at least two. There is a bar inside and did offer dessert. We had flan waiting for us at grandmas house so we skipped on the dessert. The waitress was knowledgeable about the extensive menu but never talked about the specials that were posted by the front door on a dry erase board. For four of us the bill was around 56 bucks. Not bad considering the portion sizes. I had a beer and the rest just had water. Not sure what the Peruvian cuisine should be. But if you hungry you can load up here in a nicely kept secret(for now) in Norwalk. I give them a C+. read more

This restaurant has some great food however one time when I went I didn't have such a great experience because two employees where fighting in front of everyone and that's never pleasant to see. Also the baked chicken that our table ordered was undercooked and that's unhealthy from the best of my knowledge about undercooked chicken. The owner offered the table a discount however as good of a gesture as that is the service overall could use some improvements as well as some of the meals prepared. read more

We started going here a few weeks ago. Place is nice and clean...staff is friendly and attentive...parking is easy. Varieties of menu is good. Good for kids too, plenty of spaces. Dining in comes with warm bread and aji salsa, absolutely delish...warming up the bread makes a huge difference (fiesta limena, hear this out pls). Talked to the chef too while waiting for restroom, very nice and knowledgeble peruvian guy. Pollo ala brasa is decent. Their seafood ala macho is sooooooooo good and their chaufa (fried rice) is the best in the area. Looks like we'll be a frequent flyer here :) read more

Recently stopped here on a whim with our 2 young kids and boy were we surprised. Large portions, well-priced and absolutely delicious food. Pollo saltado is the best I've had in the area. Staff was friendly and the place was occupied by regulars, which is always a good sign! Only downside for us was no highchairs for younger kids. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem. read more

This place has a new chef & has also been refurbished and is very nice to visit. The food portions are large and the quality is very good. They serve one of the best Lomo Saltado dishes that I have had and every time I visit, the food is exceptionally very good. The waitresses are outstanding and very polite. THE OWNER HAS GOT IT RIGHT and is serving quality that is going to make the business grow. I am so glad that go chicken go is close to where I live. I am going to keep going back for more. read more

I am giving two stars because the Lomo is good. However, I got ceviche pescado takeout today. A few hours later I go to eat it, and the fish is COMPLETELY RAW. Not even a taste of citrus. I come here often and generally find that the food and service are excellent. They have the nicest fried calamari I have had in Fairfield county. However, I was disappointed the last time I had their ceviche. I didn't know that they changed the size of the portions, the contents of the dish, and even the consistency/flavor of the leche de tigre. If you make the portions smaller, you should let your customers know. And if customers order something "extra extra spicy", I would hope it would at least be a little spicy, it was mild. The sweet potato was cold, there was no lettuce included as there always has been, and there was little to no juice that adds most of the flavor to the dish. Not the best ceviche that I have had despite their self proclamation of being the best ceviche in Connecticut. read more

Service and food are seriously lacking here and the price is hard to justify. The menu is often incomplete as they are generally out of things as was the case during my visit today. We had ordered a dish and instead of telling us they were out of the main protein on the plate they served it to us without it. Then when we ordered a replacement they charged us for both.... Really??? Although there's multiple servers on the floor don't expect to ever see one, you'll need to figure out a way to get someone's attention when they're not on their cell phones. read more
