Inside the restaurant. Pretty full all around, although you can't tell from the picture, lol

Arrived around 5pm on a Saturday. Was warmly greeted and promptly given the menu by the waitress. She returned shortly thereafter with the roll and pesto sauce and took our order. The food came out fast, but then there were only two tables occupied. The food was awesome. Best papa huancaina ever and Lomo. The bistro was good, and the rice really good. Chicha morada is the best we have ever had. Has a touch of cinnamon that's so good. Polished off a pitcher. When we were done, another family arrived. That's when it took a while to get the bill and pay. In all fairness, she was the only waitress. But you would think the restaurant would have more than one waitress. This is the only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5. The food is really good, so stop by. Just be prepared to wait a bit depending if they're busy.

The ceviche is great here! The service is just slightly slow, but they were extremely busy, so I understand. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish the tables were a bit bigger.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The parking is situation not the best. Overall, amazing food, and they are very accommodating to menu changes.

Medio Pollo a la Brasa (Half Chicken)

A very simple and happy restaurant with local music playing and interesting cuisine to try if you're interested in Latin American food. However, the food was not to my expectation especially with the rotisserie chicken the white meet was a little too hard and the seasoning was too bland. I'd definitely expect a little better seasoning from my experience with the Peruvian cuisine. The fried rice was good and a very big portion just eat by itself. It's still a good cuisine to try so will come back sometime.

So I have been here before and it was great but now I have noticed today after getting our check they started adding 15% tip. What a disappointment that they are doing this. Just for that alone it's a one star. We tip well for good food and good service. In this case the server will get only what they put and no more. That is why it's called a gratuity. You get tipped based on service and food at the customers desecration. Tipping is not mandatory. The restaurant looked clean.

Not the first time I've had their pork chops and it's always consistently good.. big portions, for $14.49, I never finish it. Service is friendly, one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Norwalk .

Chaufa de Mariscos and Aji (4oz) on the side

Probably the best Peruvian food in Norwalk. My husband has been a handful of times and eaten at the restaurant and always had a great experience, this was my first time trying them. So far we've gotten the lomo saltado and the chaufa de mariscos to go. The lomo was tender and super flavorful, and the chaufa was filled to the brim with seafood and scrumptious. Definitely becoming our go to spot for Peruvian by us

Was in town for one day and decided to eat here. Service was good and so was the food, I can't complain. I just wish Peruvian food was little cheaper. $50 for 2 people lunch is a lot but oh wells.

Tostones (Fried Plantains) and Maduros (Fried Sweet Plantains) with Lomo Saltado

And now I understand why the Lomo Saltado is their famous dish. Superb! Ordered via DoorDash and my order was delivered on time and packaged well. Steak was tender and juicy, rice cooked perfectly, tons of flavor without being overdone. The sides were also superb. Excellent value for the money - portions are huge! Highly recommend this place - can't wait to sample more!

The complimentary bread and green sauce were phenomenal. The actual food we ordered was a little bit of a let down after that. Everything tasted fine but nothing I would crave anytime soon. The chicken was very juicy and well cooked but had no seasoning. The fried rice was pretty bland as well. Overall a decent place for an affordable meal. Service was good.

Great location in the heart of South Norwalk…read more Plenty of street parking, as well as a parking lot behind the building a 4-5 minute walk. I was pleasantly surprised with how affordable this food is! Lots of tapas available and decent sizes. I would even say even al the tapas are a tad bigger than other tapas places. If you do decide to give this place a try, I definitely recommend the Ceviche, fresh and perfect for the summer. They also have a variety of empanadas ham and cheese, chorizo, beef...etc. Make sure to pair it with a pineapple mojito. YUM! Great service. Very clean and we even had a chance to meet the chef.

I entheusiastically recommend Ayahuasca on 46 North Main, a block off Washington where you can park…read moreeasily in the city parking in the back, where SoNo Cinema was years ago. The food is well presented (usually brought to your table by Raul, the chef/owner), delicious, very reasonable and eclectic. The arepas are amazing, the paella is good, as is the ceviche, tacos, stews and more. Unfortunately the place is struggling admits Raul, who bought the restaurant from the former owner. Raul is Ecuadorian and now his server is Alvaro, a polite, very personable fellow who just turned 21 the night I ate there. I was there for dinner with friends the previous Friday and went back for Thursday, all evening, tapas happy hour which was extensive and excellent; but don't just go for the inexpensive tapas which (will set you back a whole $20), go for a great date night any time, the menu is amazing. You will be happy you went! Please go, I selfishly want them to thrive but as they deserve to. Like them on instagram and you will get a free shot of tequila. We ordered food for take out/ delivery. This is one of the…read morerare Peruvian restaurants in the area. The food was delivered so well packed that nothing spilled. Biodegradable containers , yet even the beans was wrapped tightly. We did the family meal with whole chicken. Great value for money. The portion sizes were ample. The quinoa/ rice was so savory and the black beans was tasty. The steamed yucca was on point and a perfect pairing with the well seasoned chicken. The sauces were delightful especially the green sauce. Customer service was also spot on in response to feedback. We will try again and you should too.

I frequently pass by this establishment because I work in the area. I recently met a new coworker…read morefrom Peru who recommended this place, stating it offers authentic Peruvian cuisine close to home. I'm always interested in discovering restaurants that serve genuine dishes from different countries without Americanized alterations. When he mentioned the location, I recognized exactly where it was. He specifically recommended the Fried Rice, known as Chaufas. I also learned from him that Chinese influence is prevalent in Peruvian cuisine due to historical migration, which explains why these flavors are integrated. The restaurant operates as a takeout spot, with no seating available. Upon entering, I was greeted promptly. Initially, I planned to order the Fried Rice, but I decided to try the Lomo Salado with white rice and added chicken instead. The Fried Rice can wait for another visit. My order was ready in about fifteen minutes, and it was substantial enough to serve two people--really good value. The rice was delicious, cooked to perfection--fluffy and well-prepared, even if it lacked a bit of seasoning. They provided a side of Lomo Salado broth, which I could pour over the dish, but I found it unnecessary. The steak was flavorful, tender, and juicy. The chicken I added was decent; it was well seasoned but tasted somewhat cheap, so I wouldn't order it again. The French fries were good, though I prefer rice as a side. Overall, the meal was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding. I'm already looking forward to returning to try the Fried Rice.
