Brian and Jacob were in the store when I walked in. This was my first time here and I am very impressed with the wide selection available. This place has every supplement and vitamin you can think of. Brian and Jacob showed me their selection of BCAA's. I was able to narrow it down to one choice after a while. Brian also hooked me up with some free samples of BCAA's he got from other manufacturers. The prices here are great. I can never go back to a GNC after this place. Once I run out of my BCAA, I will be back to try something new. Great people and a great selection. AND it's super close to Round 1. I am definitely never coming back because of the customer service of one particular employee. I've been told that Alex (I believe the owner) is fabulous, but both times I have come to this store, some other guy was the only attendant in the store and he is NOT helpful. Again, I came in looking for ANY guidance on how to select a particular supplement (this time, a liver complex). All he did was point me in the direction of one and said "I don't know much about the ingredients, but this is pretty good." How are you going to work in a boutique natural food store and not know anything about any of the products? On top of that, I overheard him tell another customer that she gets 10% off her items because it was her first time in the store. The first time I went to the store, I told the SAME GUY it was my first time there (hence why I needed advice) and he said NOTHING about a discount. When I told him this when it was my turn to check-out, he said "okay I'll apply the discount" but did not give me any sort of apology or acknowledge he should have given it to me before. Because of my two lukewarm/negative experiences with this attendant, I will not be returning. If Alex is the owner and delivers a certain level of customer service, he should ensure to hire other employees who at least partially deliver a similar level of customer service. read more

Fabulous experience all around. I came in with the deer-in-the-headlight look, not knowing where to start. I needed a metabolic booster for my daily workouts, but I had no clue where to start. Today I came here to replenish my prenatal / postnatal vitamins (I usually go to Harvest House or Sprouts). I have to say that I like this shop waaayy better!! It's smaller and more concise, and therefore easier to navigate. The man I spoke with really knew his stuff, and exactly where to find it. Well I was looking for local retailer for a specific brand of sports nutrition products and well Natural Life was listed as a retailer on the manufacturers website. I stopped in on a weeknight near their closing time and they were fairly busy for the single staff person. I roamed about and took a look at all they carried. I found what I was looking for, but the selection was less than I'd hoped. I picked up a few things and as I was in line I asked the employee if this was all the carried of the brand I was after. He stated that they just started carrying it and said he could get what ever I wanted. Perfect I asked for what I was looking for and he said he'd get me samples of some other products I was interested in. This to me was the extra mile I love to see in local businesses. It is literally beyond me why he doesn't put GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, and Vitamin Adventure out of business. He has a massive inventory of anything you could possibly think of and if for the weird chance he doesn't he'll order it for you. He's incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic, and an overall stellar human being. He will price match ANYONE without any problem. He is truly genuine and cares for his customer's well being which I find awesome. I highly recommend Natural Life Foods to anyone! I moved to the area from Orange County two years ago. In the OC, there is a small, local chain of health food stores called Mother's Market. I went to Mother's all the time and loved it. NLF is like a mini version of Mother's. They have a great selection of teas, supplements, cosmetics, and frozen foods. They even carry my favorite vegan cookies from southern california. My husband and I drove from Sacramento to Natural Life Foods. I am an avid Sprouts and Whole Foods shopper and was here for a specific item. First, we got lost and the staff, two really nice guys, helped me by checking for the item and then my husband get to the store when we got lost. The plan was to run in and run out. Not possible! This place is way more awesome and amazing than Sprout's and Whole Foods combined! Totally going to find a reason to make the drive back here as often as possible!!!
