Fresh produce some really good steaks of variety of snacks pretty much everything you need for your every day.

Just had a chance to stop in to Pleasant Hill Market. It's nice seeing it opened again under new management two really nice guys that are running it very open. I can see that they are gonna take good care of the community by reopening this store. Make sure you have a chance to stop in there

    Good selection of produce

A great little local market with an awesome selection of fresh produce! My go to market for years has been the Concord Produce Market. However, I've stopped here a few times on my way home, and I have to admit that this is a wonderful alternative. It's more expensive than the Concord Produce Market by a landslide, BUT... the produce is fresher and lasts a lot longer. Plus, it's still cheaper than what you'd find at a big box store. What's nice is that I've never seen this place busy before. I can take my time and lollygag through the aisles without having to worry about being in anyone's way. It's actually really fun and relaxing. It's a smallish market but the selection is still pretty diverse. They've also got a good amount of organic produce too. It's super neat and organized, and everything is so easy to find. They have a clearance table where you can take advantage of their discounted produce. I also have to shoutout their wine aisle. They have some great wine and local craft beer selections here. The associates are nice for the most part, but every now and again, I'll run into that one associate who seems like they just don't wanna be there. We've all had those days though, so I don't take it personally. As far as fresh local produce goes, the Pleasant Hill Market is an excellent spot to fulfill those needs.

Never ever shop here! Been a resident of Pleasant Hill for 45 years and the woman at the front is the most RACIST and condescending person I've ever met. The prices are to gouge anyone to enters this place. The old owners were the sweetest most helpful kind people ever. This woman is the reason why everyone Avoids buying her high priced foods!!! Avoid like the plague she's rotten to the core!!!

    Wrinkly soft rubbery produce.

I tried to shop at my local produce! but Safeway here I come. Everything is wrinkly every time I go there, not fresh and snappy like I should be. I won't be returning the celery, Apples, bell pepper it's a waste of my time and gas money I'll go where I know it's fresh. Good luck with your business people.

Amazing fresh quality produce. Pleasant Hill Market like being able to go to a farmers market every day of the week. They have a wide variety of produce, cheeses, packaged meats, fresh baked pies, bread, wine, and beer. You can pick up grocery staples here but it's definitely more of a specialty market. If there is something in particular you're looking for they are responsive to phone calls. The pricing is competitive and on par with the quality you get. They have ample parking in front at in the back of the building.

Not sure how this place has 4.4 stars. They price gouge like crazy. Their produce is old and way overpriced. Never going back to this place.

They are opening a little later hours now which is great given that it can hard to get there after work. Overall, we have been impressed with the knowledge of team members supporting their fresh seafood section, and they are transparent in their sourcing of fish and shellfish, along with providing suggestions on how best to prepare them. Seafood is not cheap so if you are going to invest, you want good quality, and that's what you'll find. Generally, their fruits and vegetables are high quality as well, and sometimes you just have to sort through them to find the best choices. We also love not having to travel to Concord or the Tri-Valley to grab certain Asian pantry items. Service is also friendly and efficient too, so hope people support this local market -- you won't be disappointed!

How many groceries carry "American wagyu-style beef?" or fresh Scottish salmon?" (Not to mention how nice their butchers are, they are so willing to help with any specific cuts or instructions you need). -The deli has a great selection of cold-cuts, salads and makes killer sandwiches. -The cheese dept has an excellently-curated selection, far better than the chain stores. -Their in-house produced entrees are delicious, as well as the best local bakery/bread offerings. -Their checkout staff are friendly, beyond simply emptying your cart.
