I had a wonderful experience with a young man named Josh at the deli counter. I wasn't sure about what kind of turkey I wanted and he recommended the boars head and let me have a sample of it. This location seems to only sell organic produce, which is fine but also let customers have a choice. The meat department is pretty decently stocked with various seasoned, marinated or non marinated meats. Produce section is a nice size. Tend to stop by when in the area to replenish bulk spices. read more

Nice store, conveniently located, and they have a lot of unique things that you can't find at your local Safeway or TJs. But the service is lacking. Today I popped in looking for basil seeds ( yes, unique). I wasn't sure where to find them, so I asked for help. The woman who I asked ended up asking 2 other employees and they all either said we don't have it or go look in the vitamins. Now, I didn't know where that was, but no one really bothered to point me in the direction or walk me over. If you want to be priced at Whole Foods rates, you should provide Whole Foods level service. After I found them myself, I went back to tell them they carried it. But again, they didn't really seem to care and continued on with their conversation in the middle of the store floor. Had an extremely rude interaction with an older Filipina cashier who was handling the self-checkout area this morning Wed. April 8 at around 9 am. I was in the middle of scanning my cart when she came up to my side, told me I needed to purchase the tote bag, reached her hand inside the bag and ripped off the tag, and then scolded me. All I needed was help with the discounted salmon and was planning on adding the bag in at the end of my purchase. Other workers are usually pleasant here. Not an ideal start to my day but hey, the salmon was reasonably priced. read more

I used to go out of my way to shop at Sprouts Farmers Market and spent a lot of money here because I actually care about buying healthier groceries for my family. But lately it has been consistently disappointing. They are constantly out of the most basic items. Dairy milk, yogurt, bananas. Not specialty items, not rare products, just everyday essentials. And it is not occasional. It happens almost every Sunday and randomly throughout the week too. At some point this stops being bad luck and starts looking like poor management. It is frustrating to pay higher prices and still have to go to another store just to finish your shopping. The whole point of coming here is convenience and quality, and right now it delivers neither. I wanted to keep supporting this store, but it has become more of a hassle than it is worth. I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

The two things I appreciate about Sprouts. One is the roast chicken for 9.99. It's very well seasoned, flavorful, and a great price. The second is the premade sandwiches. $7.49 to $7.99. It is a little more expensive vs Trader Joe's premade but tastes so much better. read more

I stopped by this Sprouts while I was already in the area instead of going to my usual location and it was a pretty disappointing experience. Right when I walked in, there was a strong unpleasant smell. The produce section was very limited, and what was there looked old and picked over. A lot of the shelves throughout the store seemed bare. The overall atmosphere felt off compared to the Sprouts I usually go to. The staff didn't come across as friendly or helpful, and when I asked a cashier a question, she didn't seem very willing to assist even though she wasn't busy. Unfortunately, this location just didn't have the clean, welcoming, well-stocked feel I expect from Sprouts. I'd personally avoid this one and stick to other locations. read more

I don't usually shop at Sprouts because it is not convenient for me, but today hubby and I were close by running errands, so we stopped for some groceries. Produce was pretty good; many prices lower than Safeway, and quality/freshness seemed better. I needed a bottle of vegetable oil ( Wesson or similar), but couldn't find any. When hubby asked a clerk, he directed us to the oil area that has olive, avocado, etc oils but not a single plain vegetable oil. When asked, the clerk said they don't carry vegetable oil! I found that odd, and it forces me to go to a different store for what I thought was a basic item. Anyone know why no vegetable oil? read more

I always stock up at Sprouts when on road trips, and stopped into the Walnut Creek store for sandwiches. There were 3 guys working in the deli at that time. The guy slicing meat was complaining about his manager, which might be normal, but I heard him say "she's such a b*tch" when I was grabbing some drinks. When I was waiting for my sandwiches, one of the other guys was saying that a young woman nearby was pretty, and Meat Slicer Guy actually said "maybe, but I can't do dark meat." The guy who said she was pretty seemed knocked off guard by that and said he was going to take his break. While he was gone, the guy making my sandwiches said something about how the guy who just walked off was a good worker, and Meat Slicer Guy said "too bad he sucks d*ck." I am appalled. What is wrong with people in Walnut Creek, that racism and homophobia have a voice at the sandwich counter? Do better, Sprouts! I shop at this Sprouts regularly, both as a customer and as an Instacart shopper, and I've always had positive experiences until today. I'm especially disappointed because I've been shopping here almost every day for a long time, and I've never had an experience like this before. During checkout, the cashier Leah scanned my first order and then simply stood there without opening a single bag or making any effort to help. I politely asked whether Sprouts no longer helps bag Instacart orders. I even explained that I usually bag my own groceries whenever I can because I like to help, but I have a broken toe, and try to avoid unnecessary movement if I don't have to. Instead of offering any assistance, she told me they don't bag for Instacart shoppers. I asked where that policy was written, and she admitted it wasn't an official rule. She also said that "baggers" do the bagging, but there wasn't a bagger there. Cashiers have always helped bag groceries when needed, and that's exactly what every other cashier at this store has done. I wasn't asking her to do all the work. Even opening the bags or making a small effort would have shown basic customer service. What disappointed me most wasn't just the lack of help, it was how I was treated. When I politely questioned what she told me, she became defensive and even accused me of lying. No customer should be spoken to that way. I asked to speak with the manager, who was professional, respectful, and apologetic. Dave confirmed there is no Sprouts policy stating employees don't bag for Instacart shoppers, and said he would address the situation, which I truly appreciated. Instacart shoppers bring a significant amount of business to Sprouts, but regardless of whether someone is shopping for themselves or for Instacart, everyone deserves the same courtesy, respect, and customer service. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that I've known many of the employees who've worked here over the years, and they have always been kind, welcoming, hardworking, and genuinely helpful. They made shopping here a pleasure, and I never had a single issue with any of them. Their excellent customer service is one of the reasons I kept coming back. Unfortunately, this interaction was completely different. Customer service is about respect, professionalism, and making a reasonable effort to help. I hope this employee receives additional customer service training, because this experience did not reflect the level of service I've come to expect from Sprouts. I love this store and employee who worked here before like Jackie were so polite and nice and it's very upsetting to be treated like this now. read more

I would leave 0 (zero) star review. There is awful stuff working in Walnut Creek, CA Sprouts. I was buying a 6 pack non alcoholic beer. I was staying at self check out register for two minutes, asked for help, but a woman was staying next to me did not help me for two minutes and then send me to other cashier. Cashier asked for my date of birth. I said that I am 57 years old and you can see that I don't look as I am a 20 years old. She and store manager refused to sell me non alcoholic beer. They said that I should not come again in this store. It is not a first time I meet boorishness and rudeness in this store. Very unpleasant experience. read more

Thank goodness for Sprouts. I was looking for Focaccia bread around this area, and to my very surprise, I couldn't find any from most grocery stores. I went to Whole Foods, and they told me that they had discontinued baking or carrying any focaccia bread. I decided to call the Sprouts in Walnut Creek, and I was told that they carried some. I was happy. I decided to get one from their bakery (tomato and Parmesan) and another from the grocery (Rosemary Garlic). The one from the bakery was absolutely amazing. The texture of the bread was super spot on, it was dense but spongy at the same time. I would get that again. Price was about $5 each, as of November 2024. read more

Produce & other items they have is decent, but the last three times I've visited, I've seen people's personal pets just walking around while their owners shopped. I have a dog too, but always leave them in the car or at home - there are clear signs that say only service animals allowed. read more
