I hate to write this review. Everything I said prior was true. I hired Sean for another job, which he said he could do: straighten my crookedly mounted towel rack and tighten my toilet tissue holder. He came with an assistant and had some challenges with the rack, but his young assistant got it done -- straight. The problem -- it fell down (had been up for 10 years). Also, the tissue holder was not tightened. Sean and his assistant did help me with bringing in my new couch after scotch guarding it outside and placing it. I contacted Sean at Arrow Handyman Services to give me a quote on a few things I needed to get done around the home. During the walkthrough, we scheduled a tentative date should I move forward. He provided me a fair quote. However, I never confirmed that I wanted to move forward. I ultimately decided to go with another contract as a part of a bigger project. On the day of the tentative date, Sean tried to reach out to me. However, I was busy working around the home that I did not check my phone. Sean decided to show up anyways, giving me (potential customer) the doubt that I wanted the work done. When I told him I did not confirm, he understood that I did not confirm and was very professional about the misunderstanding and left. My parents needed to replace their old stove that was originally installed with their home over 40 years ago. They made arrangements with Lowe's to install the new unit and haul away the old. The two delivery reps from Lowe's took one look at the old unit (stove/two oven combo, all one piece) and said that they couldn't remove it from the wall and that we would need to contact a handyman to handle it. Sean responded quickly to my message and was great at communicating throughout the entire process. He made suggestions about replacing the original valve and came back to take care of it the same day. He even took a look at their water heater and was able to make some adjustments without charging them extra. I was really worried about getting this taken cared of, especially since I wouldn't be around to oversee things, but my parents assured me that he was pleasant to work with, knowledgeable and punctual. I had several issues at my new house that needed to be fixed (including some that were listed on my home inspection report) and Sean took care of all of them: - The laminate flooring in my house was installed incorrectly, as there was not enough space next to the walls so when it got hot the floor started to "lift up". Sean removed the casings/baseboards and cut away a small gap in the flooring to allow the necessary space and also installed a transition into one bedroom to cover the gap. - Sean went into my sweltering attic to install a new attic fan against one of the gables, then proceeded to go onto the roof to install a new spark arrestor to the chimney cap. All in all, Sean is a joy to work with and offers very fair pricing, so I know I'll be calling him back again soon. He's very personable and takes a LOT of pride in his work - he has knowledge of MANY areas of home improvement due to his own experience working in a variety of fields, so he should be able to help with just about any handyman task you may have for him. He claimed to call my client and leave her a voicemail today, however she said she never got a voicemail at all. It's a pattern. Very flaky. Please read 1 star reviews here before hiring Sean. His flaky pattern has happened to me too. He makes appointments and cancels with excuses after excuses for over a month, then NO SHOW, NO RESPONSE about a week now. He installed rain gutters for me on 05/01/2023. Two major problems. The way the two front downspouts were set was different from original plan which affects the look of the house. He agreed to relocate them in 3 days while getting paid in full that day. He admitted that he should have asked me if that ugliness was okay with me. Another area, also without asking me, he moved my existing downspout which was collecting early morning condensation from the roof to another spot. Now every morning, the condensation comes down between the wall and the gutter spoiling the wall. He has said in text messages like, "OK no worries soon as I get back we will do that", "Please don't worry. I'm not a flake like that". And after over a month of dragging, he sent the last message for rescheduling again before disappearing completely, he said "Thank you, see you Monday morning". That was the Monday on 06/05/2023, since then NO SHOW, NO RESPONSE, NO EXPLANATION. If this is not flaky, what is? Shame on me trusting people... Nobody deserves this... [Response to Sean's comment] Wow.. a FLAKE and a LIAR as I expected from your responses to other 1star reviewers. I was there, but didn't hover over you every minute out of respect since I thought you were a professional. If I was all that happy, why would you agree on THAT DAY to come back on that Thursday or the next 4 weeks, or at one point even your "wife" texted me asking for understanding for delay??????
