I called Arrow for an inspection of my septic field because I found wet spots a the ends of several drain pipes in my yard . Brad performed the inspection and offered several suggestions as to why the water was leaking from the system including the very rainy spring we've been having, my gutter downspouts draining onto the septic field, my slopped driveway adding rain water over the system and compaction of the soil around the drains and a build-up of sediment in the bio-mat layer. Brad discovered a broken distribution box which needed to be replaced. We discussed a remedy called a Terralift Field Rejuvenation and my septic field was a good candidate for this procedure. The weather needs to cooperate for this so that the "field" is as dry as it can get for best results. On my scheduled start date the workers came on time (Bill and Matt?) and began working replacing the broken box and laying out the locations for the Terralift procedure. (The Terralift injects compressed air and pellets into the soil breaking up the soil compaction and bio-mat. Also, each drain arm is high pressure washed to make sure the arms are cleaned of any debris, dirt etc.. Then a professional septic feild rejuvenator is poured into the arms to keeps the system working at peak performance) The Terralift was far less in price than replacing the septic field but there is not a 100% guarantee that it will work on all septic fields. That's why the inspection and finding out about how old the septic system is, how often its cleaned out etc., before they commit to doing the work. I cannot express how professional Brad and his crew were and their attention to detail and the care they shown to my property! After working most of the day in near 90 degree temperatures, they still took the time to clean and rake around the distribution boxes they opened and made sure nothing was left behind. I re-routed the water from my gutters and driveway and I'm sure this will help keep the septic field in good order. (Thank's guys for the tips!) AND... the ends of the drains are now dry after two days. I highly recommend Arrow Septic and Sewer! Bill the dispatcher in the Arrow office had always called with updates of when they would be here and to reschedule because of the weather if needed. From top to bottom these guys are top notch. No wonder you see the Arrow Septic trucks on the road as they are the go-to company for all things septic. read more

It's hard to get excited about septic servicing, unless it's a top notch solution to a potential disaster. We have used Arrow for routine maintenance for many years, but this time we had an emergency on our hands. Sunday morning, Father's Day, sewage all over the basement floor. Shane came out to fit into our families' plans for the day, putting off his dinner plans, and helped troubleshoot what had gone wrong, as well as gave us a temporary solution. Bill scheduled us ASAP into their packed schedule, and we had the work done today. Professionally, politely, they explained to me what they were doing during their work. Septic work isn't inexpensive, but they hit their quoted price, which seemed reasonable to me. They even suggested a modification to make it easier to service next time. I'm very happy. On a Sunday my kids were taking a shower and after 3 min, water started coming out of the overflow in the basement. My buddy, a plumber, came by and opened the clean out in front of the house and it was caked 4 feet high with mud like consistency of sewage, my whole line to the main was one big tube of sludge. He said it was too big a job for him and put my house on lockdown. A friend referred Arrow to me and they came out on Monday first thing, Hunter busted his butt and stayed till he made sure that all the roots that were causing the nasty backup were cleaned out and the job was done the right way. He had other calls coming in and any other guy would have seen that there was water flow and packed up, not Hunter. He went to town on a mission to make sure that camera went all the way to the city main with no hinderance. Price was reasonable too! Quite honestly, the man could have told me whatever and I would have said no problem, after what he went through, the stuff he had all over him .....these guys dont get paid enough for their time in my opinion. We called arrow septic to come out and water jet out a large landscaping drain that was plugged with tree roots. We first called Roto-Rooter who told us it would be $1,500 for them to even come out. We Turned to Arrow, who was at our house within 1 hour and were more than willing to help us solve our drainage issue for a fraction of the cost of Roto-Rooter. Hunter was courteous, professional, and knew what he was doing. He did not leave until the job was done correctly and he was able to get our yard to drain properly. Rave reviews on a septic company. Sigh, my personal life really has hit a low. Arrow came out for an inspection and pump out for selling our house. Septic work is never fun, and a nasty necessity. Arrow made the process much easier. Nice people, even my bratty puppy loved them. Friendly people make any work that much easier. The work was very professional, the system fully looked at, not just a quick glance. They answered any questions patiently explained each component. I have a better understanding on how my septic system works now. I was informed how to spot problems, what to do, what not to do, how often to have the tank pumped.....they treated me with respect and kindness. They recovered the holes required for inspection so well that you hardly know there were holes dug in my yard. No muddy spots until the grass grows back for the puppy to roll in! Called at 7:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night. Walked into the house from work to pump malfunction alarms going off. Called and left a message with ARROW on their emergency line. Got a call back in less than 10 minutes. Eric was at our door within an hour as promised. Our septic pump had seized, and we were dangerously close to having a basement full of..stuff that you do not want in your basement! He pumped us out, explained to us Septic novices how the system works, what our maintenance schedule should be, very nice and kind. Said we should call in the morning to get a new pump in asap, but we'd be fine for a couple of days if need be. Price was reasonable, given what the alternative could have been, the very next morning we called and ordered up the new pump, by the time I got home it was all installed, everything in place. They were previously known as Crystal Lake Sewer and septic, I believe. They are now known as Arrow sewer and septic (not sure if Arrow bought out Crystal Lake Sewer and septic or just changed their name). I called them to schedule one week ahead of the desired service date and made an appointment. I was given a 4 hr window. One day before the service was due, the owner called me stating he read the weather is going to be bad the next day and so would I consider moving the appt to the morning instead of afternoon so that the service can actually be completed without being interrupted by the hail and thunderstorms. I agreed, but requested a call 20 min before they get here. Brad was extremely professional. He called me exactly 20 min prior to arrival and informed where he is and when he will arrive. Once arrived, he immediately found the septic tank lid, opened it, inserted the suck tube and started the draining process. In 20 minutes he was done. He even remembered the last time he was here many years ago!! He explained what he had done, asked me if I had questions and left. When I asked him the time frame for the next draining, he asked me stuff like how many people live here and other relevant questions and gave me a time frame which I thought was a very honest reply (if the only motive was to make money he could have told me schedule in one year but he did not do that). Not only was Brad's behavior highly professional, but I thought that the fact that they monitored the weather, called customer to reschedule, wrote down notes of customer request and did showed up on time speaks a lot about their overall professionalism.
