However, our most recent service by them was full septic tank replacement because we had a major failure due to age and location. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost, as every homeowner with a septic system fears the replacement someday. Within 2 weeks they had the plans and permits, and installed the new system in 1 day. Even though it's painful to do a major home repair. Rechel added thousands of dollars of equity to our property and did it in a timely manner and with good service. Rob is excellent at communicating when he will perform the inspections, and he follows up afterwards with an email and a copy of his report in case the one he leaves behind is lost. We found Rob after we had a blower go out just after an inspection by another company. Rob came and replaced the blower at a fair price and we decided to go with him for annual maintenance. We cancelled the maintenance contract (just renewed) with the old company. We now get maintenance, not just a look and a report. Rob checks more than two previous companies, which include the original designer/system provider Syber-Aer. Rob has made suggestions and changes to our system that have improved performance. He has taken the time to explain his improvements as well. Most of them have been minor - not expensive or time consuming, and he has included them at no charge. So even if he is a little more expensive on his contract cost, he does provide a better value overall. I heartily recommend the service provided by Rob and Northern Illinois Septic.

Saying OMG a several times acting like it wasn't something that could be fixed. He called his boss and then he applied a fix he wasn't convinced would last. After that craziness's I called a real professional and they handled everything much more rationally, respectfully and professionally--as it's a common issue just the kid they sent hasn't seen it before. Ask a random person off the street for help to apply a patch yourself instead of resorting to calling them.

For one there are a lot of bad plumbers - notably the other people I used who were not only terrible but actually threatened me and tried to get paid for doing a horrible job. Where ex stink both knows their stuff, is fairly honest and what they intend to do, and actually deliver on it. I actually had a situation after hours where they were very straightforward and recommended me things to resolve the situation so that they would not have to come out for the dispatch. To me, that represents ethics and integrity in business. They absolutely could have shut up a dispatch and come out to make extra money but instead the perspective was: here's the fix for you here's what I recommend you do call me back if that doesn't work. These are the kinds of people I will call back to do more work. This Is the kind of service that is deserving of work. Not random review farms which we know a ton of businesses do so that they have a good rating on yelp. Their prices are also fair, and they actually do fix problems and not just put a Band-Aid over it. 5 stars. I called to have them come back out and they wanted to charge full price again. The last time we had the main line rodded we used a different company, and it lasted over a year.
