I explained to the doctor (Dr. Sclafani) what was happening and he confirmed that he is very conservative and came back with 3 root canals needed. We did all the xrays again and came up with a plan. I started on my plan and while I am very pressed with time/life, I plan on going back soon to finish up the remainder of work needed. Doctor Sclafani is a really nice, down to earth guy and understood what I wanted to do and took the time to listen. The #1 most important thing a dentist needs to do is LISTEN and OBLIGE wherever possible - And Dr. Sclafani did that for me. His front office were very friendly and chatty and so far all is going great. Nice guy, nice staff and a nice family atmosphere.

I have been debating writing this review for quite a while, since Brielle Dentistry Co seems to…read moreonly get rave reviews here and people appear to have had good experiences with them, but please consider my personal experience with them a cautionary tale. I went there for an emergency root canal, which went well, although I had to wait in the chair doing nothing for 45 minutes, before they finally started working on me, consequently making me late for work. Everyone was very nice and apologetic, but that was a bad first impression for me. They pushed the comprehensive dental exam for a later date, which I did get. They found many many issues with my teeth and gums, which really surprised me, as I practice excellent oral hygiene every day. Long story short - I moved to another state not long after this and found a dentist here, who did the exact same exam - all the bite-wing and panoramic x-rays, photos, physical exam, etc., and found only a tiny fraction of what Brielle "found." For example - Brielle told me I needed to get 2 back teeth extracted. I knew of one tooth, given what was going on, but the other tooth they wanted to extract turned out to be perfectly healthy and fine, with absolutely no need to extract, per my current dentist. Brielle also pointed out other work I needed to get done - another example: deep scaling - while the dentist I go to now found no issues whatsoever with my gums. And there were others. Needless to say, I would never to back to them.

Additionally, due to the unprofessional, unethical, and breach of services, I have filed a complaint with the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry. on 12.29 Dr Mc Elroy pulled a tooth. I needed another pulled. He had my xrays since 2/12/26. I set up another appointment to have a second tooth extracted. The next appointment to have the second tooth pulled was set for yesterday 3/12/26. A month and a half later. When he walked into the dental room where I had been waiting. He said to be "back again". I said yep, round two. he looked closely at my tooth and say a possible infection, he took another look at the exray, and commented and confirmed the tooth he was going to pull. In great regret, I had told him I was meeting with my dentist next week to work out a plan for estimates. He said he could do a "bone graft" for implants. I told him I just want the tooth pulled and did not even want to discuss and other surgical work, be it implants or bone grafts. I am on social security and not about to spend money i currently do not have When I made it clear I was there for just a tooth removal and not a bone graft, on any additional appointment. he got up and said I would have make another appointment. I told him he was lying and I was there He knew precisely the reason I was there...to have him pull my tooyh. That this was a consolution. How many does he hold especially when he looked and move my tooth around. I explained the front office confirmed i was getting a tooth pulled, yet because i refused any "upsale" he left the room and said this another was another consultation. consultation, He caused me unnecessary anxiety because I did not agree to his up sale, it was obvious I did not work into his sucker "upsale rhetorict, and he promptly left the office. When I called back and explained this was no consultation he walked away and disappeared. Up front I was upset and told his staff I had been lied to, they confirmed I was there for an extraction, not a consolation. I raised my voice out of passion for his lie and he never came back out. DO NOT USE THE GUY. HE IS NOT HONEST AND HIS MAIN CONCERN IS HIMSELF. he is a black mark non the dentistry. If his work ethic is a representation of this gropup , for yiour own good, do not use them. Dr. Paterson could not have been nicer and more welcoming.I had not expected to have the tooth extracted immediately!I agreed to sedation. Came here for Mini-Me to have her checkup after wisdom teeth removal…read more She was having some discomfort which was to be expected but it was causing a headache and her jaw was hurting, she couldn't eat and was just not feeling good. Dentist took a look and all was healing well, but he went ahead and packed it with some medication and gauze for a day and told her to come back in on Saturday, he even said that the medication would help in about an hour. Right after we left she said, " It didn't even take an hour, my mouth feels so good can we eat?" it was so good to see her feeling better. Staff at this location was really helpful and I recommend them for dental service.
