    Beautiful nature!

This location is definitely not for swimming as listed on the Big Bear Lake. The lake in general is full of algae and apparent in this location. The pros about this location is that there are clean restrooms, access to quick parking and nice picnic tables. This site is more for an all day picnic gathering, because of the scenic background. For those traveling from the surrounding counties, be prepared for a 1-hour bumper-to-bumper travel almost half-way down the mountain. Towards the end of the mountain passage, there is currently one lane being used for both directions. I am not sure if this is a temporary situation, but I will consider this for the next time I travel to Big Bear.

The place is perfect small beach for little children. There is picnic tables and ample parking. The water quality is a little questionable though. I wish there was shower stations to wash off after swimming.

Easy access, friendly, helpful staff. Would be cool if they had obvious kayak access other than boat ramp. I went up the deep and steep sandy beach with kayak, which was a solid cardio workout. Nice little beach/picnic area. Pretty area to kayak.

There was a dock to park the jet skis and no one else was there, the guy preparing the food was helpful in answering our questions about the menu. Lovely views of the lake from the seating area. All very rustic, but right by the lake, which is the main attraction. We got the loaded quesadillas, which I thought were just fantastic. Unfortunately, they had no grease so all the french fry options were off the table and they were out of chicken... We enjoyed our time there and would most likely stop by again in the future.

We paid for the 12 person premium pontoon boat and were given the 8 people POS junk they call hurricane because it is so badly damaged... and when we tried to dispute the so call manager Connor he talked down to me and my family. So we asked for a refund and we're told to take it or leave it. Then after complaining about it to the company were attacked with lies about us threatening them when they made our children cry. Now I have no other option but to complain to the BBB in hopes other people don't experience these evil POS. Never have I dealt with such low life people in my life. They lie, cheat and steal to get by, absolutely pathetic bunch of people...

They had a fantastic session with Cris Gallardo. They found him to be helpful, attentive to their needs, and easy to work with. Meanwhile, my daughters and I enjoyed base camp. The wristbands for unlimited 'adventure' activities is a fair price. We also packed our own picnic lunch and had a lovely afternoon. We had last visited Snow Summit two years ago and I was worried that now as young teens, they would find the activities too babyish, but they really enjoyed the climbing wall, euro jumpy, and zip line. Before heading home, we enjoyed ice cream cups from the gift shop. I was also happy that the bathrooms (by the zip lines) were very clean. I will also add that we visited on a Friday in mid-July, and it was not crowded at all.

There was free parking that was easy to find and gear up at. This particular location doesn't feel large and since it was kind of sunny and a weekday, I think a lot of the trails and some of the lifts were shutdown during my visit. Not a big deal at all since my goal was to avoid large weekend crowds and shake off my personal cobwebs and just enjoy myself at my own speed. Getting my pass ready at the entrance using my phone, emails, and the app was pretty straightforward. Once I got that situated, I was able to start making my way to the first main lift and head up. The crowds during a weekday (early 2/2026) were so small, I was able to take my own chair up without having any traffic behind me. I can't speak for experienced skiers and snowboarders since even a decade ago, I would consider myself a solid intermediate snowboarder (that didn't do any tricks) and I will say it's a solid resort especially what I was looking for. I was able to go down the trails and constantly go up the lifts so quickly and my muscle memory all started coming back albeit with a few minor spills. After a while, I wanted to grab a beer and make my way over to Big Bear since I had the pass that allowed me to experience both parks. Definitely a solid snow resort that isn't too intense and is great for the proximity of people who live in the LA/ IE area.
