The fairways, greens, and tee boxes were all well maintained and enjoyable to play on. The layout made for a fun round and felt worth the money. That said, the driving range was very disappointing. It looked pretty neglected, almost like it hadn't been properly maintained in a long time. The mats were worn out and in rough shape, and a lot of the range balls were dirty and even cracked, which took away from the warm-up experience. The golf carts were older, but they were still functional and got the job done getting from hole to hole. The bathrooms, however, also weren't great and had a strong unpleasant smell, which could definitely use attention. Overall, despite a few noticeable drawbacks in the facilities outside the course itself, I would still recommend it as a solid value option if you're mainly there to play a round of golf rather than use the practice amenities.

From coming through the front gate to departing, this is a world class experience. Greeted by name at the door by Lucas and Andy...clearly they are only focused on you as a golfer and what you need. Lucas was very professional, understanding and accommodating of some of my physical limitations (previous hand surgery). At the onset of the fitting he noticed that my current clubs which I'd been fitted for custom ordered from TM, were a bit long. He measured them out and every one of my clubs was off in length. See the pics to understand how poor quality control on standard fitted clubs looks. Lucas identified a few things in my swing and potential physical limitations and suggested I work with a golf physical performance pro who can assess how I can improve or mitigate issues affecting my swing. At the end of the session I ordered the T200s which best fitted where I'm at now - and will easily support my game in years to come. Lucas set expectations that the clubs may not arrive for 4-12 wks depending on supply chain issues they (like everyone) have encountered. Imagine my surprise and joy to receive an email notice 4 days later that my clubs were built and on my way via Fed-Ex. One week after my fitting I received the clubs. Quality of fit and finish is what I've come to expect from Titleist. Superior. Held up the Titleist against my TaylorMades and immediately see the 1.5" difference. I've been playing with clubs that were inconsistently too long for the last 4 yrs and didn't know it. Uggh. So happy that I made the 500 mile journey down to TPI in Carlsbad and was fitted by Lucas and had the TPI experience. He made me feel at ease (as much as possible, I was amped up) -- and took his time, never making me feel rushed in the process. Thank you Lucas and Team Titleist!

Side note: I love the metal targets at each distance, much better than flags. Things I learned: feel vs real. (my head moves back more than I thought, left arm position at impact etc) While the new student assessment isn't really a traditional golf "lesson", there's still a ton of things i learned watching the replays and will take that info back with me to practice. Ideally after this, you would then schedule your next "traditional" golf lessons to improve on the issues discussed. If I still lived in SD, I absolutely would come back for more lessons.

I was impressed with how quickly he was able to diagnose my faults and the steps I needed to take to fix them. If I had to rank the top ten golf shots I've hit in my playing career, I would say they all came on days two and three of this golf school. It has made that much of a difference in my game. I plan to make an annual return visit as my game progresses.

The BOS team knocked this out of the park as this club looks brand new. Keep in mind this putter is now going to be part of display at my house along side a few others. The price for all the work was more than reasonable and the turn around time was outstanding. Highly recommend these folks for any club repair or customized work. I just went through the full bag fitting this past weekend at TaylorMade Aviara Performance Center…read morewith my man, Ben Spector, what an awesome experience. The technology is totally impressive, from the typical Virtual hitting metrics to the 3D mapping of your swing path, to the roll of your golf ball during putting! I am a long time TaylorMade user so I was excited to try out the new SiM2 woods and irons. Ben expertly fitted me with a 1/2" longer shaft as I am 6'3" and getting older, appreciate proper spine position more than ever. He also hooked me up with a driving iron for the 4 and 3 iron as I am not a fan of utility clubs and those babies were sweet. Getting the ball up with my fairway 3wood has been a challenge so we went with a 1.5% increase in loft to really make this easy. Finally, I went with the new Spider putter with 45 degree beveled ridges on the face, great feel. Ben was great to work with. It was the fastest 3.5 hrs of my life.
