I accidentally booked a Flight Deck "tee time" through GolfNow. There was no mention of this being an hour on their simulator and not an actual tee time when I booked it, other than it listing "no cart included." It was significantly cheaper than other times, but I thought it might be a discounted rate since they aerated greens 3 days ago. The ONLY information about the Flight Deck was after the booking in my confirmation email. I called Arrowood and GolfNow to politely ask for a refund on the prepaid amount and was told it was my fault I booked the wrong thing and I would not be refunded. Being a virtual time, it doesn't affect the course at all to help me out, and is a terrible way to treat costumers. Our group won't be getting their business anymore. read more

Played here multiple times . I always say never again because of how slow the play is . Slowest pace of play I've ever witnessed . Started at 1:39 and didn't make it to 16th hole before dark . 3 groups on the same tee box . Didn't see a marshel out there once . Finished in the dark at 6:40. That's 5 hour round and we even skipped a group ahead of us. Either tee time are too close together or the course just allows the slowest play imaginable . read more

Had a tee-time at 1:12 Arrowood Golf Course Jan 9th 2022, was one of the last group off the course. Left my VoiceCaddie Range finder on cart 16. Called to see if they might have collected for me. They said they did not have it in lost and found. I honestly think someone on their staff kept my 600 dollar range finder. Really enjoyed this course! It's a bit challenging as the course is fairly narrow and most holes hook right, so aim left! The staff was friendly and they have club cars driving around to ensure you need anything. There are also bathrooms located throughout the course. The fairways and greens are well-maintained. Great Crouse. Well kept. They don't have a cooler. Bars looks updated and cool. They give you a bucket from the bar as a cooler. We got the bucket deal which was 6 for $20 . Lots of option for food too . Great price. Carts have navigation. Very organized . Everything is in order. The course is amazing. It's beautifully kept, and the employees are dedicated and courteous. Recently I signed up for two sessions with Coach Todd. For $50 you get a beer, a burger and instruction from Coach Todd. And for two of my friends who had never really played, Coach Todd had them hitting the balls consistently well. He gave them personal instruction for 2 hours. You can't beat the price, and Coach Todd is amazing. There are a lot of good reasons to play at Arrowood. read more

Used to be one of my favorites.. I would drive all the way from San Clemente to play. They no longer seem to have ANY interest in pace of play and my last 3 rounds have been 5 plus hours. This track is a gem...except it's horribly overpriced. The clubhouse and bar area are nice. The course is a decent layout. It's a little brown right now, but that's understandable. What really chaps me though, is paying $90 for the weekend rate. That's more than RB Inn, which is more exclusive and is in better condition. Two Bloody Mary's from the cart girl was $22. All in all, I'd play here again at $70. Unless you don't mind a poor value, seek 18 holes elsewhere. read more

Management is terrible. They are not welcoming or greeting including GM, assistant managers and Pro-shop employees, pretty much the most of them except the some of the starters. They are cold or don't know how to welcome or greet. They are busy increasing fees, but zero services or loyalty to their players. NO SERICE. Played today Friday 12/11 starting at 12:24. Two stars because course is in beautiful shape. Only two as the front nine took 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete. Very poor course management. On each hole we pulled up to find group in front of us teeing off, group in front of them hitting second show and group in front of them on the green. I play a LOT and have never experienced a course playing this slow. Not sure if it was lack of Marshall or poor management. We were started on the 10th. By the 16th I called pro shop complaining about slow play. They promised to send a Marshall out but we never saw one. Do not waste you time or money on this course until they hire some professional management. 12:24 start time and we only got 16 holes before it was full dark. Very disappointed! Yes I asked for a refund and was refused. Skip this place. read more

Booked a Tee Time online for 7:12am, arrived promptly and checked in with the starter. I was to be paired up with a "Men's Group" as they had an opening. I waited near the starters booth and checked in with him frequently for my tee time, and for the threesome I was to join with. When the starter said the 7:21 group should be in the box, I asked what happened with my tee time and group. Apparently the Men's group back filled the open spot, unbeknownst to starter (and apparently Arrowood), and I no longer had a tee time. They gave me the opportunity to wait and possibly tee off later if there was an opening (minimum 1 hour+ wait) or I could play the back 9 right then. I appreciate Don, the starter, attempting to resolve the issue but it was clear he was at the mercy of what the Men's group wanted to do. The golf club needs to establish greater control and organization of the Men's club. People who booked online and paid for their tee time should not be bumped. read more

Made a tee time online, since they aren't taking them over the phone. I was required to pre-pay for the round. 2 days before the round, I email to cancel the tee time, due to plans changing, and I am told that I cannot get a refund on a pre-paid round. In light of all this crap going on on the world, the amount of greed this course is displaying is sickening. They get my $260 for a round I will never play, but they are losing so much more in the long run. I received a response from someone at the course repeating their no refund policy on pre-paid rounds, and that they have "given" me a rain check for the round. Please tell me how I will receive this rain check? And how would I book online with a rain check? You are currently not accepting tee times that are not booked online and any tee times that are booked online MUST be pre-paid. Looking forward to a response. read more

Foursome, 2:30 pm tee time, midweek, mid summer. All single digit HDCP GREAT pace of play. Greens were true. Course is nice. Careful, some reachable par 4's. So the course was in great condition. Some great views of rural SD county. I really enjoyed the par 3's, they were challenging but not overly stupid long. The only negative comment from our group were the elevated greens. A few of the greens are super elevated on the approach, makes for some walking back and forth (it was our first visit and weren't familiar with the undulations). Food at the turn was unexpectedly amazing. Oh Ya... "The Quandary". I was thinking how easy the course was until this happened. Best to just play conservative for these holes and rely on a good approach and 1 putt. read more

This is a very challenging course with lots of elevation changes and several blind shots. They have a program that allows club members free walking golf after 3. These guys are pushing all the time. The greens are heavily damaged with tons of pitch marks. The cart girl showed up on 2, I gave her my card when she told me she'd be working for four more hours. That was the last time I saw her, except on 12, I saw her talking to young guys and then she took several shots on a neighboring fairway. Golf shots, that is. After my round I went to the new bar and waited there while two people waited on their friend. Finally, I asked for my card and my receipt. They gave me my card but couldn't produce a receipt nor tell me how much it was charged. The help seems self absorbed to be sure. Too many nice courses to come back. read more

I've played a lot of golf in the county and play several times a week. Having just moved to Oceanside, I set up a tee time at Arrowood and was quoted $70 for my round online. Upon check-in I was charged $80 ($10 extra for my cart) and I was paired up with three absolute HACKS that were trying to keep up with as many beers as they had lost and dropped balls. After the fifth hole, when they excused me from the group to play ahead because I'm sure was visibly frustrated with the abuse of the course, the pace of play and how all that was affecting MY game after 90 minutes that I decided to leave and take another shot at the core another day. I asked the manager Kate if I could come back at a later time to replay the course and was told once I Teed off on the first hole by money was gone no matter how many holes I played or didn't play. The manager proceeded checked pace of play and informed me that "all groups were 1 min off the pace" I'm sorry but anyone that plays golf understands the pace of play on a Saturday afternoon or even a Wednesday at noon is greatly different than pace of play of the first group out on a Monday morning so she used that phrase to shut me up and not help me. Just wanted to put it out there. Ever sense the tracers went in the driving range mats have been closer together. I was practicing one day and I and another person's clubs hit on our back swing and damaged both of our clubs. Another person there said that had happened the week prior as well. I called to complain about how close the mats are together and they did not seem to care and stated they do not take any liability. If you do not want to worry about your clubs be damaged I would say make sure there is not anybody next too you or use another range. read more

Arrowood is one of my favorite courses in all of San Diego. We always have a wonderful time there. This Sunday, we were greeted with live music playing! The Top Tracer Flight Deck is an exciting new addition. The course is challenging and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and I must say, the vibe is not snooty and rude as it can be at some golf clubs. I attribute much of this to the kind and helpful people that are employed here - Mike Duncan is always very outgoing, positive and helpful! I have had great interaction with Will, Mark and Aaron. Played during the covid19 horror. Staff was super helpful and accommodating. They planned out potential issues in advance and prepped accordingly. For the avid golfer... This is easily top 3 courses in San Diego that are reasonably priced. I'm not counting aviara and Maderas. Fantastic layout and well kept. Walked it, but it kicked my butt... loooong. Great course and in excellent condition right now. The course can be a bit challenging at times, but it is still a fun course to play. Great staff, and the food isn't bad either. The weather is almost always perfect here. One of my favorite courses to play in San Diego. They now have a code to get into the restrooms throughout the course, so make sure you look for that on your cart or ask the starter before you head out. Best place to get a deal on this course is on Travelzoo, which usually includes beers and range balls in addition to your tee time and cart. Typically it is priced about $65 for two people. Golfnow also has some good prices, which can often include beer and range balls, but you have to be looking for them and their usually after 1 pm. Their price is usually about $80 for two people, so Travelzoo is a better deal when you can find it. I typically buy a couple of the Travelzoo packages, because they last for at least 6 months. read more

SLOW play. Trash on the course. Sat for 5 minutes at multiple holes. Spoke to the pro shop and they said it was just because of the level of difficulty and that we should account for longer times. Somehow when I played Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach this week there was no problem with keeping the pace of play... They are jamming golfers together on this course to make more. The only thing that would have made this any better would be if my tee shots weren't ending up in the rough all day. Besides an errant driver this place was a treat for the eye and the golf spirit. Tee boxes were in very good condition and the greens were tough but fair and rolled true. I would like them a little faster based on the hardness but now i'm just nit picking. I'm a fairly new golfer but this place is one of my favorite to practice on. It's kind of hidden up in a neighborhood by the back entrance gate to Camp Pendleton but once you've come up on the course the ambiance takes you somewhere relaxing and beautiful. The driving range is nice - as well as the practice putting area. The snack shop is simple, but delicious. The hamburgers are big and juicy. The pesto chicken wrap is probably my favorite thing on the menu. And of course it comes with your choice of chips and I can't usually resist Doritos. The Italian sub is sub-par (pun intended) - it was a little dry and not too substantial. I'd ask for extra italian if you are in the mood for it! I have yet to play the full course - but am planning to soon! I can't wait - it looks beautiful. read more

This is Class A golf course, to say the least. But, I just wanted to point out a "hidden" treasure that is offered. Nikki Pritchard, a truly amazing & comfortable teaching pro, has a clinic on Tuesday afternoons for a lesson & then 9 holes. Not only so very helpful to knock out the kinks, but 9 holes to work it! The group is called "9 & Wine" and you can find it on Meet-up or email Nikki at Arrowood. I am not employed by Arrowood and not a friend of Nikki.......just someone who did this for the first time yesterday and the value, & lesson was worth gold to me. I recently played this course on a mid week twilight rate, and was really impressed with the course. First the rates for the twilight rounds were super reasonable for the caliber of the course, and second, the this round came with a free adult beverage which is never a bad touch. If there are any issues with your round and you need to approach someone do NOT approach A Castillo the Director of Golf. He literally has no training in customer service and basically will not even listen to what you have to say. There may be better people to try and communicate with but I didn't even bother. It was easier to just leave. He had a huge opportunity for sone good will and I don't think he was smart enough to realize it to be honest. A very small gesture would have led to more future business including possibly booking an event there. The golf is fine. But it it not because the Director of Golf has any part of it. Not sure what he directs but it's definitely not the customer service education program there. All the other folks were fine. So I know the problem is specific to him read more
